RasPi Card Imager

I love this app! The only thing I found that was a bit annoying was when I would try to install a custom OS, it won't write to the SD card. (The SD card is inserted into my phone not plugged into the bottom) But when using the built-in OSs it work wonderful! If you could get the custom OS working, I would rate 5 stars!

Does what it advertises! The ability to write CUSTOM images to a INTERNAL (read: no OTG adapter required) is amazing. The headless install flags for standard images are also appreciated. Note: if you are getting a write error, just try rebooting your phone while leaving the SD card inserted. Not sure why this helps but other SD writer apps suggest it as well, and it fixed the issue for me.

The ONLY way for peasants like me (who don't have a pc), to flash Raspberrt Pi SD cards! This app could be a true gem if it wasn't so unstable.. that said, it DOES work, and its the only show in town! No ads and its actually free! Devs: please fix the apps internal cache management.. for example, if youre downloading a distro to the cache and lose connection, it says that it finished downloading.. And if you minimize the app during any operations, all hell breaks loose... Thanks for the app :)

5 Stars for this app buddy. Really a life saver for those who don't have card readers. Suggestion - Only thing I see is that sometimes the download stays incomplete but still shows as complete and burning to SD card will cause error while install. It will be good to add a hash checker or something to verify the files after download is complete. Still I'm adding 5 STARS since it serves my purpose.

One of the best softwares ever. Can write custom iso, download almost any system compatible with rpi zero / 2 / 3 / 4, have a cool option who allows to choose only compatible systems for your model of rpi, can enable ssh directly, can install systems headless (without any mouse or keyboard, it install itself once the image written on the sd card, the sd card in the rpi and the rpi powered!!!). Clear, easy to use, fast and reliable! THANKS! 10/5 stars!!!!!!

This worked! I had to format the sd card a few times and redo the process but don't think it was an issue with app but more with the sd card being formatted and ready to be written to. What is really interesting is it seems to work on a Pixelbook as an android app. I had given up on writting Raspian to an sd card with my Pixelbook after installing linux apps like Etcher which didn't work, and when I found this app was amazed by how simple it is and that it does the job.

Great app that does everything claimed as advertised. I may be mistaken but i seem to recall a year or so ago trying out this app & being very dissapointed when it just did not work at all for me. I dont know when this changed but now it works flawlessly! 5*****

This is an absolute essential for any raspi owner. Works perfectly, and is easier and faster than imaging with a computer. This truly came in useful for me as my new computer has no sd card slot, but my phone does.

It's a great app BÚT, when selecting format sd card, it autoselects your internal sd card, WATCH OUT for this, because i lost 500GB on files and important documents this way. this is pretty much the only downside, if this didn't happen, i would've given it 5 stars to be honest

Seriously best app you could ever ask for! It does everything you could ask for, the fact that you have everything put in neat categories is awesome. I had downloaded the file before I downloaded this app, if I would have known that everything I needed was already in this app I would have saved time and energy not having to look for the right file. Just choose what you want and where you want it the app does the rest. I'm so glad I saw your comment miker! Thank you so much! Well sort of did it. I was looking to put a pi image on a card but this imager only allowed me to write their images of choice and thats cool, but i have my own image and got no option to record. If i had needed one of the choices ot would have been so nice. (3 stars) Update: has option to install custom os now. (5 stars)

It worked perfectly on first attempt the very first time I did anything with the raspberry pi. Can't get much better except for prompting for network settings when enabling headless SSH. I could solve it by creating a extra file on my phone though.

This is a really good app. It's incredible what a phone can do today. My experience is that custom OS didnt work but in the end I was able to flash the raspbian OS which is still a major achievement. I hope this app is updated soon

I was looking for my microsd to USB stick but couldn't find It. So I tried using my phone as the adapter. Didn't work so I figured I had to format the card. While I was looking for a sdcard formatter app(which appears to not exist without root) I found this. And OMG it's amazing. Thx you saved my day

After my RPi microSD card corrupted, I used this app to download and install a new bootable image. It was very simple to do and worked perfectly even though I've never done it before. Excellent app and an easy 5 stars from me.

It's the easy starting point for a multitude of projects and situations when working with Pi. Can't help but think there's something dumb about the number of low reviews for this app. I'm not big on leaving reviews but felt obliged to chip in on this one. The rating of this app is lower than many inferior apps in various fields.

It works. Heads up Recalbox is ver. 4.1 not current distro but that's Ok with me (it's stable). That being said its one of the best pain free methods for getting NOOBS on a sd card, without having to touch a dirty Windows platform to flash it. From your phone to Pi, no lie.

I cannot give it 5 stars as there is no retropie image. Edit: on top of no retropie download, downloads must go on fully uninterrupted. the slightest hiccup and you need to start over from scratch. 3 stars.

UI got broken & root functions inaccessable... Very nice tool, but it seems an update broke the UI and OS list's sorting. Also, the app does not want to request root. (Rooted via magisk) Other than that, I still recomend this tool to others.

Good idea but very poorly executed. If the download fails at any point, it never recovers and you have to reinstall the app or it just claims success with a corrupted image.

Great app ! Very useful , very handy . I use it on my phone , my tablet and my Chromebook . I am immensely grateful to the developer of this app . It can get a little quirky sometimes i feel , but nothing so drastic that it would prevent me from testifying to the sheer practicality and convenience it provides me on a regular basis . Thank you

I have tried multiple times and my Pi 3 won't read the image, yet when I use etcher on my PC it works just fine. I really gave this one a shot. Just wish it worked. My phone is a Note 10 if that matters.

Pretty impressive! it's quick and easy, not sure why there's bad ratings. I ran into a few hiccups but anyone even remotely savvy can work through them. couldn't get the read card function working but I dont care, the app still gets 5 stars

What a piece of junk! It took way too long to figure out how to select a custom OS, and even when I did, the app wouldn't read the new name of the SD card, or write the image to it, kept getting an error.

Useless junk. I have several decent Android phones, can't flash a **** thing with this app on any of them. Who made this..?!! Seriously... Use etchdroid or other alternative app, this one will only waste your time . I wish I could have given it 0 stars

It just doesn't work. I was excited to use this app, but I can't select the SD card as a target. I thought it might be because I'm not rooted and I was trying to install PiTop OS, but I can't even do NOOBS. I definitely don't want to root my phone in order to install anything other than NOOBS. And I definitely don't want an app that does nothing without root.

Works great apart from when you try to install a custom OS, doesn't install just keeps saying to select an SD card or USB when I've already chosen one.
