Rats can hear ultrasound: the range of the rat's hearing is around 200 Hz to 80 or 90 kHz (Fay 1988, Kelly and Masterson 1977, Warfield 1973). There is a whole world of high frequency sound out there that rats can hear that we cannot, a perceptual difference that humans tend to forget (Milligan et al. 1993, Sales et al. 1998).
We hope that most problems will disappear within a few days. However, if the rodents have already built a nest in your house, they are unlikely to desert their young until they are old enough to move
Fortunately, rodents mature quickly and the babies will be fully grown within a month. If you suspect that there is a nest in your house it may be worth using traps as well, but remember that traps alone do not provide a long-term solution to your problem.

The ear piercing noise of this app will destroy your eardrums before it will get rid of mice/rats. Commercial sound repellents work at the ultrasonic level where humans can't hear it. If it does somehow work, the rodents will just move to another spot where the noise can't be heard. Consumer Reports say mice quickly adapt to the noise and it has no effect. My ears are still sore two hours after running this crap app!
We had 3 rats gnawing on wood in the roof. After 1 min of having it on they stopped. I used the 16hz and had it running for an hour. I could hear it but my wife couldn't! Not sure if it's s coincidence but my wife started feeling nauseous after an hour of running which apparently is a possible symptom to humans.
I'm actually camping now and could gear mice running around outside my tent. So I searched and found and installed this app. Top and bottom settings did nothing. Middle setting and immediately mouse party ibid the leaves and sticks is over.
So....I put it on various frequencies in the evening before going to bed for almost an hour each time. Then at 3:47am they came scratching.... when I put it back on I obviously didn't hear a thing because all I could hear was the high pitch noise. But I put my ear plugs in and managed to go back to sleep eventually. Then after an hour i turned it off and within seconds I could hear the scratching again. Kill me now. 😣😣😣
it totally worked. i was on my computer ON MY DESK and i see a mouse run into one of my speakers! i was like what in the name is going on. i unplugged everything and put in the middle of my living room with my phone playing the app in the middle range and within like 15 minutes, it walked out slowly, totally in a daze and just sat there being confused. i was able to pick it up with broomstick and dust bin, it tried to run away but it was too dumb to be quick and i managed to gently put him outside my window. wow! 5 STARS.
Does what it says. I had a big problem with rats invading the space above my bedroom. Used the app at full volume, and they learned not to come. A quick tip is to use it for 20 Minutes. And vary the frequency now and then. Love to the developers. Saved a lot of lost sleep.
Live in a converted house made into an apartment. The ceiling fell in the apartment above me and here came the mice. We put glue traps and my daughter saw one of the jump over the trap. So I started doing some research on what would seriously repell these little bugger's from coming in my crib. Found this app and turned it on. Yes ,Yes ,Yes!!!!
I rarely comment on apps, but feel I have to with this one. Had an unbelievable noisy rat, so bad we had to sleep in front room. Installed this app, and with seconded he had gone. If he comes back I'll be waiting! Thanks app dev
I guess this app was written based on some internet article that mentioned about the frequencies because there isn't much science behind it. The design of the app is nice, no doubt but as for usability I have to give it a 1 star rating. The sound produced is also relatively loud on two of the frequencies so if you put it run away (human repeller?) because it is very annoying. Tried it on all three frequencies with LIVE rats and they just stared back at me from the distance like "so what? you got a sound machine?" Perhaps I am the rat because the noise was very annoying to me.
I had my doubts, but IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I put my phone in the bathroom where the rats would actually be at most of the time and left it for 15 min. and the next morning I didn't hear a single squeak and now it's 5 hrs. later and still NOTHING!!! Thank you soooo much
Not sure if it's working or not? I mean I don't hear it anymore and I'm not seeing it around so I think it's working. The reason I downloaded was because I THINK I felt one jump across me and I accidentally launched it into the wall lol (heard the loudest thump ever lol). I'm highly afraid of rodents so I hope this is working. I read online that they can get use to this noise, I just hope they don't get use to it until the end of this week when I move out...
It seems to work but some researchers beleive it could cause brain damage and no one wants brain damaged mice running around. I unfortunatly only thought about possible damage after testing it. Mice are very intelegent animals
Ok 3:00 am there was a rat in my room it was under a box of a tv I bought had a bag of chips under the box that I accidentally left there I could hear it eating it so I downloaded this app tried all frequency nothing happened I woke up my family but the rat dint care about this ultra sound waves I swear I almost put the phone next to his ear and did not care it was eating like if nothing happened
So far it seems to be working. I heard the most God awful noise in my kitchen so I downloaded this app and went in there. Brought the phone back to bed with me still playing and still have not heard anything for about an hour now sence I stopped the sound
I was reading in bed when i heard quiet scratches around my bedroom.. tbh i didn't know where the scratches were coming from but i knew it was a rat or mouse as we have had rat poo everywhere around the house.. i found this app whilst looking up "how to kill a rat" on google.. installed and turned it on, put it on full blast and that mofo stopped! I now feel safe in my bedroom lol
I was curious if it really worked. So I turned it on around my rats and they're going about as if nothing is there. Good thing it's free or there would be a lot of upset people. Totally useless, don't waste your time.
I Heard a mouse in between my walls, I put my phone near the area, set it on high and it was gone in less than 2 minutes. I don't what I would of done without this app because my problem was gone immediately.
Loud screeching noise makes me want to leave. Hopefully using it didn't hurt my speakers in my phone
I have pet rats and thought I'd try this. I did as the directions said and they came over to me and fell asleep. Hahaha
Tried DJing Venetian Snares on max vol for 30 mins but no result, then tried this app (through a loud speaker obviously) and mouse seems to be gone. Worth giving it a shot people!
It annoyed the s**t out of me and scared my goldfish. And my ears really hurt.
Chased them away for a few hours then they came back. No effect the second day.
Using this app out of 1:20 desperate ideas to get me to sleep without thinking a mouse will come in and idek what, seems to working mouse was in my room started playing this havent heard it since 😄😄
I have two pet rats and they just stared at my tablet when I put it on. It doesn't work . it's just another one of those stupid apps.
I had a squirrel or rat in the walls driving me nuts, gnawing. I had two plug in repellers that didn't phase him at all. Wall pounding, an air horn. Downloaded this drove him out. He came back once and did it again. Gone. I'm wondering if the folks who say it didn't work tried all three frequencies and upped the volume? Only issue for me is I hear all three frequencies. The lower two are painful at full volume. But set it up and left the room. Thanks! Saved me an exterminator and ripping open walls.
