RAWAR2 offline strategy game (RTS)

RAWAR2 is a simple offline strategy game(RTS). Well, simple... You'll soon find yourself fighting complex realtime battles, and hopefully leading your clans to heroic sieges. Fight enormous wars in the age of knights and castles using soldiers, ships and... fantasy monsters. Command, conquer and defeat the mightiest of AI-controlled enemies you'll ever find on your device!

- Simple gameplay, learnt within a minute.
- Explore maps full of rivers, woods, seas and mountain ranges
- Dig for gold, chop wood, plant crops, scout for mana.
- Build giant empires on enormous maps
- Clash with migthy enemies like Dame Sarre, Gromgrund Stareye and Bardolph the Clumsy
- Summon monsters like the Ogre, the Boulder Giant and the Small Colossus.
- Upgrade your castles, shipyards and other buildings.
- Risk soldiers' lives to capture resources.
- Send thousands of troops with a flick of the finger and strive for global domination
- Find the best tactic for building, wall placement and mining.

This game is ad-free!

RAWAR2 is a special implementation of the RTS-genre because its minimalistic design allows for the command of thousands of troops on giant maps without losing strategic oversight. It has been said that if RAWAR2 is like war, other strategy games are a knife fight in a closet.

No wifi needed, this game works without internet. The internet-permission is only used for purchases of additional maps, map-voting and promocode verification.

RAWAR2 is a continuation of the first RAWAR with a whole range of improvements:

- better strategic map generation with named rivers, seas, woods and mountainranges
- upgradable buildings
- xp-system
- monster summoning
- smarter enemies
- cleaner map drawing
- 4 types of resources

The game is in active development.

This is a well designed game. It took me a bit to get used to the mechanics, but after figuring those out, I have thoroughly enjoyed the play. I agree with others that a speed up button would be great, as would some ambiance sound. I would love to see a reclaim option for buildings, workers, and the units in que to be built. (or at least a delete option) I also think that a treasure chest containing bonus xp would be cool to hunt for ;) I hope for expanded material in the near future.

Great concept but the gameplay is very lacking. The controls need major changes to make them more engaging and easy to use. make the grid map easier to navigate. and the most important, make a tutorial to explain everything in detail cause right now if you never played an rts in your life you'll probably give up in 5 minutes. overall a good experience but needs some work. keep it up

about the update, first off learning the new system in the middle of a map that i was already losing and barely scraping up enough land to bolster my resources was crazy. I raged so hard. I like it, youve made leveling and clearing obstacles more relevant, enemies are more aggressive, towers need to be maintained to be effective and the bridges? Yes. Much better. Possible diplomacy feature in the future? Im excited to see what you have in store.

So close to 5 stars for me A button canceling production of units would be very helpful. Maybe a little bit more of a tutorial and explanation of each button press. That way I know exactly what I'm doing to my gold/wood/mana/food production. An option to build production centers would be great as well. The controls are ok, I'd prefer having an option to only send 1/2, 1/4 or 3/4 of my troops would also be nice. Just a bit more control and this game would be perfect

Fantastically fun game, sorta blends RTS and turn-based mechanics. Graphics are clearly a work in progress, there is an occasional fog of war bug where you can see movement of troops that are meant to be obscured. Controls are fairly fluid, can't clear orders on tiles with construction on them. The ability, to remove buildings we've built would be appreciated.

A super simple civ-like rts that has just enough to be interesting. try it out. At higher level of difficulties, you have to rush the AI, or you will have to fight a long drawn out war of attrition, which isn't that fun. the game really needs: the ability to buy multiple monsters in one go and more monsters with interesting affects like self-destruct, enemy conversion, temporary block movement, buff allies etc. the game could also do with hand-crafted scenarios and a story.

I like this game. It is indie development, plays like Civ II mixed with Risk (two landmark games), and is fun to play. No ads, no pay to win, just simple mechanics implemented across hundreds of maps. The AIs are well spread in skill: easy is easy while hard is hard. I look forward to more development. I'd like to see an option to repair a wall and one to convert a wall into a guard tower and a guard tower into a castle. Also want to move armies onto ships. Gold is precious. Thanks dev!

great strategy game, easy to pick up. I've only done 3 levels and it is challenging on hard level, seems like the 16 free levels will take some time to get through. Only a dollar for other worlds seems like a great deal. Could use a little polish here and there, and maybe a speed up time button, but I can't complain.

A slow moving game. Enemy A.I. needs some work, especially in naval manuevers. The most annoying part of the game is that you must come back to harvest crops and trees, rather than having an automated system. Ironically, this is the most efficient way to get your resources. Overall this is an okay game, but nothing special.

This is a fun and pretty simple RTS game. I have always looked for games similar to the old Command and Conquer series and this is entertaining. I have played for maybe 2 or 3 hours and it's getting a little tiresome but still semi entertaining. I think the guy who created it did a marvelous job. There are just some game characteristics which get a little bit frustrating. When you accidentally build too many units, there's no way to remove them or stop production to get your money back. Moving

Fun and constantly switching it up, I usually get bored of games like these real fast but its mechanics to switch you around the map are spot on. Only a few bug fixes are necessary because I find myself getting slightly frustrated when I go to select soldiers and it is moving them instead. All in all good job keep up the good work and keep the updates coming!

I played the first one for years. This is just as excellent. Daan has managed to add details and still maintain the flow that made the first game so good. This is not merely a clone of the first. The nuances of this version make a huge difference in strategy. TIP: Build farms and trees early and don't neglect summoning. I'd like to see random maps and of course, more worlds.

I love to have a game that I simply can play! Offline, no adds, no pay to win. It is not perfect but fun to play. Things that could be better are the already mentioned cancel-button, a better readability (especially the blue numbers are hard to read) and a long press for an options menu to e.g. summon a monster on a castle.

Great Game. need some contextual info, and the ability to cancel a selection. edit: clicking on a woodcutting tile woulf show the number of wood generated each turn and total generated each turn (5/35) for example. hey! another suggestion: drop down menus.. i hate cycling through "move 1, move 5, move 10, move 20, move 50, move 100, move all" also: some kind of timer that shows time until next "turn" (for production purposes, better planning)

Interesting idea, but ultimately boring and flawed. You can't really lose, but games can take a long time. Resource production is annoyingly slow, the controls infuriatingly clumsy, and there's no actual challenge. It's like one of those games where each base produces units over time and you can send all your units to an opponents base and whoever has more units gets the base - however it introduces a grid map, terrain, resources, which all just make everything take forever without any depth.

It's OK, but it becomes repetitive and boring too quickly. Edit: I'm in world 1, Freonga. I like this type of game, but it's missing something. I think that a problem is that you have to micromanage a lot. Automating work queues could help on that. Maybe it could be unlocked via a tech tree.

Edit: I have increased star level because you're actively listening and personalizing each review. That's very rare with developers. Keep up the good work. Ty for fixing the disappearing troops. Now to business... 1) still haven't fixed trebuchet range summary. A new player still dont know how to increase range. 2) beta; can't do anything with swamp tiles. Waste of space. How about land bridge option? Turning swamp into usible land like most of the state of Florida lol. Ty.

Overall it's a great game! I know it's still being developed and so areas that could use work are: one the troops add different types and put more detail and also add stats for this different types of troops, two the game mechanics like movement for troops and the amount of gold and or resources it takes to build or train, and three add a blacksmith to build in game to make armour for your units to make them stronger.

I had been playing this game for a long time until I stopped abruptly. I recently hopped back into this game and I am SO glad I did. I love all the changes I've seen so far. The addition of stone as a resource was a nice feature, the seawalls being built by enemies is cool, the construction options such as lighthouse and trebuchet sit better with me then a simple guard tower. I am thoughrouly impressed and excited by a game I had sunk many hours into, and am fond of. You've outdone yourself!!

I like this game. My issue is the.game is too slow in progression or I just do not know how to play it correctly. I would make it faster by making it turn based(I know its an RTS) that way you can make take your time deciding on what to do; instead of waiting for resources. I'm happy with the style I dislike over done graphics which is why I enjoy playing slay. The controls could be better to be honest. I wish there was a way to destroy a building. If there is please let me know.

Entertaining RTS. The controls are organic even if a bit awkward (the regular need to delete pathways). While "lite" in overall depth, there is more than enough to keep my interest. I am confident in recommending this game (even under development) to anyone who enjoys map conquest games.

Jam. D. Jan 17, 2020

Pretty decent game. Could use some more optional information (what benefits do I get upgrading my guard tower? How much health does my wall/sea wall have?) And more features (repairing buildings, terraforming/digging canals), but the gameplay is solid. I have many times opened up this game and then looked at the clock and 2 or more hours disappeared. Tl;dr: good enough game as is, with indications it's being worked on, so possibility of it being even better.

Luk. T. Jan 15, 2019

Fantastic low-fi RTS, best on the app store from what I've tried. Only downfall is the lack of explanation for some mechanics. Such as do i have to manually upgrade the individual buildings, or is this done automatically via the xp upgrade. Otherwise well worth your time, and gets beyter with each update

Aad. R. Jul 14, 2019

loved the game. it's a really good and simple tactical game, can be played during a short break(5mins) to a few hours long war, and it automatically saves and pauses when you close the app so you can continue where you left it. keep up the good work!

Ell. Y. Jul 23, 2019

it's a great game maybe could use the ability to make different troops like. swordsmen, Archers, you get it like keep going up and add where the player can build a mine or other building and the ability to research better technology. it's a great free game and I would not mind paying for maps a far price for a great game like this. the others are ideas the game is still great without them added keep working how you are it's great I hope to see it grow.

Kev. Dec 30, 2019

once you get into it, a solid hour or two just flies by with every session. Its really weird. To the devs, I suggest you add music, and speed up the tree and crop growth a lot (maybe lower limit from 250 to 150 to balance) Also if you can, add a timelapse function at the end which shows the whole map and recaps the game in 30s or so, that would be rly nice
