Why did we build 'Read by QxMD'?
Health care professionals need to stay up to date on the latest medical research and topic reviews to provide optimal care. Unfortunately, the process of content discovery is broken with research artificially compartmentalized by publishers and hidden behind countless institutional pay walls.
At QxMD, we believe that knowledge translation– the process by which new knowledge is incorporated into clinical practice – is an important and unsolved challenge for our health care system. We hope that ‘Read by QxMD’ will be a part of the solution.

Terrible updates to the app. Doesn't refresh, doesn't allow to choose topics, doesn't allow to choose journals to follow either, and hangs frequently too. Previous versions were so much better. I'd request the developer to please look into the matter. Extremely disappointing for long term users like me.
Previous versions were amazing! Unfortunately, the app seems stuck and won't refresh for about a month. Same on the website. Reinstalled the app, but now won't open. Reached out, provided a work around which didn't really work. Please make QxMD great again and I'll update the review!
It was a good app but it stopped functioning lately. It does not open at all despite restarting the phone. I wonder what has happened, and it's a pity to see a good app has stopped working.
App was great. But hasn't been working, even after updates were done. Will not refresh. Keeps coming up with error 3 on all my devices

It does not allow opening the app, it throws an error: null pointer expection. It also does not allow sending reports to the developers. Nothing changes if the phone is reinstalled or restarted
From my impressions on the first day of use, this seems to be a very useful app. Tools to make reading the literature more readily accessible, particularly on the go (mobile), are likely to become increasingly helpful to people. Of course, it will be important for this app to retain a real sense of being unbiased in provision of information, since users will be critical thinkers searching for evidence to examine and consider.
Full medical research document access for free! This app is great for personal research. I'm not a doctor but having access to legitimate research is very helpful to learn about the latest advancements.
Wonderful app. I can follow my favorite journals, get alerts, collect articles, stay up to date. Can't say enough good about it.
Nice initiative. Is there a provision to summarise and submit the brief of an article, which is not listed in the app. Also my institute name is not enlisted. There should be an option for mentioning new institutions names
I've never met such an amazing app on medicine. However, the full PDF download function is not always effective in my institution because my institution subscribes Sciencedirect and Ovid rather than the journals.
Provides PDF or web access to many full medical journal articles, including JAMA, Circulation, BMJ... Some access is limited to abstracts, depending on the journal. There is access thru an institution, if your have that.
Lately PDFs for major journals don't load anymore. PDF not found. You have to try it over and over again to get it to work

Was a good app, but after recent update it is crashing constantly on my device(pixel 4a)

Sad to say that I still can't get it to work. Used to be a lovely app. I try to uninstall and reinstall every few weeks or so and it just has a spinning icon and 'refreshing' but never opens. If it works it is literally my favorite way to find and read papers
