Read Chan: 4chan Browser

Very nice app, but missing some important quality of life small stuff. For example when I click on an image, instead of a loading bar, it should show me a thumbnail as a placeholder for the image, so that way I can swipe through images faster as I don't always want to see the fully downloaded image. The second thing would be adding a setting where swiping left or right on an open image will move me to the next or previous image, instead of having to click on the bottom panel and long press will show the post. The last thing would be the ability to change the number of columns in the list of threads, since with only 2 columns, not many threads fit on the screen, which makes quick navigation harder. If you add these simple changes it will be a solid 5/5.

had a good experience with it... for the first 30 minutes. the full view feature only works for about 2 or 3 webms so you have to exit the thread and come back again so that the videos would actually play. then, the whole video player and image viewer stopped working altogether. don't know why this happened but it's not great.

FEEDBACK: Having to scroll left and right through 8+ boards to find the one you want to use is extremely annoying, you should be able to click on a board in the boards side tab to go directly to it instead, make bookmarks a default side tab, and maybe give an option to make the top bar show bookmarks instead of boards. Aside from that great UI for the boards and threads themselves, imagine viewer is really nice, probably the best app if you stick to like 3 boards.

Best chan reader out there. Super simplistic and customizable there's only one problem: Everytime a thread is deleted it displays the same message as when my internet stops working "trouble loading data". It would be nice to have a different text Would also like to have an option to save as webms as .gif but this would be just for ease of use, not important at all to be honest

Very easy app to use once you get the hang of it. I would like to see the ability to bookmark boards or create a list of the ones I want to use. Also whenever I bookmark a thread and then it is archived I dont see any sign its archived anywhere until I try to make a post. And any of my posts or its replies are missing that signature (you).

Update: Captcha no longer loads thus unable to reply. Seriously great app, almost perfect... Needs a little bit of UI work. Unable to bookmark without opening the thread (bookmark from the card view) Add things like arrow bubbles when you scroll to take you to bottom, last read or top. New replies notification could be way better as a bubble with the number of new replies in the card.

Overall very good app. One problem though, on Galaxy s9, webms are reloading when you move the cursor backwards. webms are also loading again when the video loops. I use 'allow streaming' option as my connection is quite slow. Maybe I missed a setting ?

Pretty convenient for browsing boards and threads, but: -I have so many files saved I don't want saved cause I left my finger on an image a second too long while scrolling -makes it too easy for phoneposters to just scroll images and miss out on the subtle nuances that give this site any charm. To be fair, your have to have an IQ within 5 points of my own to understand, preferably under -spent how many minutes picking captcha fire hydrants only to keep getting the captcha error. It's pretty good but starts to slow down when you click on replies and images, as it is opening tabs in tabs. I think it would run better if instead of opening a new instance it would scroll down to the reply.

Great app. Got only one problem with it. Regardless of turning off "Play video when ready" and "Always enable audio" options, the app always stops the music playing in the background, while browsing any board

It freezes all the time since update to Android Q on Nokia 7 plus. Also, webmS are freezing too. UPDATE : Working much better after last update. The only thing not working is fast forwarding videos. Seek bar is the problem. Video freezes when press forward.

Give us the (You)s. Your bookmarks should show when the thread 404s and when there are replies to you. Webms and gifs should start from the beginning when you scroll back to it. Report window should open in-app rather than opening up externally in Chrome. No option to delete a post. You should be able to bookmarks threads from the catalog. Needs option to auto-bookmark when posting.

A fantastic experience with alot of other good browsers falling to the wayside, only real thing holding this app back is how it seems to compress larger images making the text on them completely unreadable, if not for that it would be near perfect.

It's good, but there's issues with scrolling through webms where the next webm becomes distorted and plays over the previous. It would also be nice to have a thread filter like the site so I don't have to see threads I don't like.

Great functionality, hands down the best chan reader. Wish that it didn't drain so much battery through. I've done everything I can to reduce battery drain but it's still higher than even watching YouTube.

Literally better than Mimi, and it's free! Not very intuitive but once you figure it out it is more feature rich and complete. I hope the dev continues to maintain it.

Everything is alright except for the image viewing. Zooming into for example greentext screenshots are very blurry. This wasn't the case for previous versions.

Does what I need it to and is very responsive/bug free. Used another similar app for a long time and it was great when I first got it but the experience degraded over time, so this review is subject to change from the time that I'm writing it.
