Why does it make a loud shutter noise even when the sound is turn off phone-vise? Please fix. Otherwise good app.
The app is brilliant but now it doesnt allow you to share the photo. Is there a paid version that does or why it is disabled now?
Seems to be the ONLY SERIOUS NFC reader/decrypter in the Play store. Wondering what can be added, extended, enabled, releasing a commercial/"professional" version also. Good job ! 👍 PS: BDW, tested successful read of an UK HO issued Biometric Residence Permit, I guess most of data on it decrypted, including the photo. Again, excellent work
It's the first time Haitian Government doesn't lie for the first time my mother just came from Haiti and I heard about this app so I get her ID try to see if it's true but it does work is the first time the government doesn't lie I have to give them the credit because that's the first time the doesn't line I miss my president Jojo I love you
It just works! Very good. But I'm not giving 5 stars because sometimes you just want to read the NFC tag and not scan the MRZ. It also would be nice to have the app recognize what type of document the received NFC data represents and correspondingly display the interpreted information.
I have encountered some problems when reading above said ID cards. Some of them fails to read because app says access control failed. Tried entering the details manually but it still fails. Same ID reads fine when using the Verifier TD&B by IOM. Any suggestions? Already sent an email to you. But no reply
Quick feedback :-) Switched phone off and on, also reinstalled app but still failing at NFC Access Control. Worked great that first time though! Tried holding absolutely still for a along time and also had no covers and still no luck. Could be my phones NFC signal loosing connection. So will try with my wife's s5 tomorrow. :-)
A useful app, well designed and 100% free. Kudos to the developers. Note it does not read the new Polish ID cards (chip authentication failure - the app does not support CAN for authentication). * UPDATE 09/2019: Turning the PACE setting on does indeed help with Polish ID cards, big thanks! ** UPDATE 09/2020: The app reads new Polish ID cards out of the box.
it's a very good app love the interface very simple and readable
ux is ugly as hell but seem to work. too bad i don't have any of the required documents to try it... i hoping to find more features inside. it was in my first wave of looking for a smart card reader, in which i found about 3 other apps. -- awesome feedback by cregox.tk
Works pretty good, used it to verify information because the ArriveCan app miss spelled my name, wished I could take a screenshot of information instead of having to send it in an email to myself.
Good app but can't read arabic when the info in identity in arabic
Seems to be very well made but does not support German documents :( Edit: ah, thank you! Good to know that Germany doesn't follow international standards once again... would be great if you could add it though!
very fast and accurate software.
This application work great to help me identify if the contact less chip has the same information on the card. I would love to see a biometrics option as well since the chip have the biometrics as well.
It's the best app to check out the features of your ePassport. What really sets it apart from other NFC apps that can read ePassports is that ReadID uses passive authentication based on the actual lists of Country Signing Certificates and Document Signing Certificates.
Works better than other apps I tried, but it's annoying it REQUIRES camera permissions, even if you're going to type the data. Would have been 5 stats otherwise.
Wont let me disable network permissions. As long as this is forced i say this. THIS APP COLLECTS ALL INFORMATION IT SCANS BY MEANS OF TRANSMITTING IT TO ANOTHER SERVER DONT USE THIS APP. Dont be fooled by lies they would not force this otherwise. Update response: only way to do that would be to remove sim card and stay out of familliar wifi range
