Reading Glasses - Free and Ad-Free
Reading Glasses provides a variable zoom and a flashlight, so you increase the magnification to a level you feel comfortable with and add a little light to dark situations.
And it's free and free of ads. You get the whole screen to use as your lens. No annoying ads will get in your way.
Below you'll find a list of Features. There aren't many. Why should useless or nearly useless functionality distract you from what you really want to do?

HOW TO USE
Use the slider to increase or decrease the magnification. Alternatively you can use pinch gestures, much like you would with a digital map or image. To add light, click the lightbulb button.

A NOTE ABOUT CAMERA PERMISSIONS
When you first open the application, you may see an alert box that says something like:
"Allow Reading Glasses to take pictures and record video? [DENY] [ALLOW]"
Reading Glasses doesn't take pictures or record video, so why are you being asked to grant it permissions to do so?
Because to view something the app needs to make use of the mobile phone's camera, as does any app that needs to view the outside world. And the makers of your mobile phone's operating system don't really know what the camera will be used for, so they have to assume it will be for taking pictures or video. That alert and its text are added automatically by the operating system.
To reiterate, this app will not take pictures or record video.

Works perfectly. I read through some of the reviews and cannot believe the comments some people make on an absolutely free application. With that said this is one of the better magnifying glass applications I've used. The focus clarity and zoom capabilities are perfect. I am much more likely to contribute financially to an application that does not annoy the users with ads in it non-relevant in-app purchases. This application developer deserves positive recognition for this application.
This app is a great example of perfectly executed simplicity. Very clean interface, with only zoom button and a flash button (no unnecessary junk). Only camera permission needed (no unrelated permissions). And no ads & no in-app purchases. Excellent app for focusing on doing only what it's intended to do.
Good clear view spoilt by the light switch and zoom adjustment staying on screen. Could these not be moved to the edge of the screen, or better still, made to disappear after a short delay, and re-appear on touching the screen.
This app is absolutely amazing in what it does. I am visually impaired, which leaves me constantly struggling to read small text. This app has completely changed my whole perspective. Thank you for creating this and helping so many.
Works great, just a bit large and can't be moved from the internal memory to the sd card. Tried to email the address given, but its not valid. So, it works great and no ads. We just have to accept it using so much internal memory.
It works very well on my Motorola G5 Plus 4GB RAM. There's nothing better than a simple intuitive interface. Zoom works surprisingly well. I would add a single other feature: freeze frame. Thanks.
Like a few others, I am amazed at the clarity with magnification! I'd like to know high magnification goes. Definitely more than 500 tmes. Can read newspaper size print at arm's length. Am legally blind and like the ease of use. Thank you!!!!
I clicked on the app a few minutes ago and was amazed at the clarity and ease of operation. I heartily recommend this most useful of apps to any one like me who has difficulty with small print. Many, many thanks to the developer.
"The application relies on the camera but hasn't been granted permission to use the camera." Installed, gave every conceivable permission in settings, uninstalled, re-installed... Nothing. Same msg. This app page says, "When you first open the application, you may see an alert box that says something like: "Allow Reading Glasses to take pictures and record video? [DENY] [ALLOW]" In multiple attempts to re-install, I never got this option, just the flat declaration with which I began this review... ALL my other apps needing the camera work fine... This app? Zero......... Tried their website: It's a logo. Period. --------Dev response is helpful. I'll have to stick by my review since I will never be able to test this.
I am visually impaired and this is a great app, but the bar to scale the magnification needs to be lower on the screen. This would allow more text on the screen. Otherwise, I would have given 5 stars. keep up the good work. Thanks.
It's AMAZING! It's FREE and it has NO ADS! It's exactly what I wanted. My hands shack, and yet the view stays STEADY and CLEAR. And it only uses the permissions it actually needs to work. It's PERFECT!!!
I love this app and use it often. Granddaughter has a gadget that she connects to her phone. This app works just as good AND has a light. Pfftt on her gadget LOL Thank you developers for this Free... and Ad Free App. You guys/gals rock!! A side note to all of the complainers.... Get real. It's free. Go buy something that suits your needs or stop complaining.
Excellent. A simple magnifying tool with zero ads and only requires camera permission. Also has ability to turn on flash light if needed.
The App is awesome simply the best reading app ever .. just one diwnlfall there is no option to take picture . Dev please add an option to take a pic or make a video so we can share that with others also

Well as long as you are wearing your readers... Now if you need to read a menu and forgot your reading glasses this app is not helpful at all. I assume people looking for reading glasses might appreciate knowing that up front. This is a magnifying app. Rename and you're a 5 but as readers you don't pass muster.
This application is the most practical solution if I misplaced or forgotten my spectacles. The real bonus is the flashlight. Awesome with no ads!

Nice. Able to read minute print on medicine bottles without any problem. Good app. Suggest you have a button to capture image.
This app is super for reading the smaller print on restaurant menus and wine lists when you've had a senior's moment and left your glasses in the car.
Amazing works great. Better than I could have hoped. Only thing is image stabilizer and Crystal clear mode don't help, but actually hurt
