Readly

I was tempted by the free trial but ended up not using it t all since both the app and the web version are of a poor quality. I canceled my subscription but apparently it failed because they have been charging me 10gbp for 4 months! No warning by email about the subscription switch or billing. Their support service doesn't want to hear anything about my case and says they won't refund a pence to me. Now silent after my second email. And they removed my previous review. What bad communication!

UPDATE: Reduced to ONE star, since the app is getting dumber and dumber. E.g. you can't even get out of a read magazine using the Back function - you end in an eternal loop with a question if you want to read something else. And STILL no proper browser. ORIGINAL review: Works well, and has a lot of content, i.e. good value for money. Minor: the built-in browser is very limited in functionality, and unfortunately it does not seem to be possible to open the links in a proper browser instead.

Good little app and great for a single device, a great range of magazines to read, the major criticism I have is it's not very good for multiple devices, there's no Kindle like sync on your reading position and bookmarks seem to take hours or even days to reach other devices which negates one of the major advantages to having content virtually

Sort the 'favorites' out, favourites never refresh/update when I go into the app however I see newer editions just by clicking on 'magazines'. This should be an easy enough check to refresh favourites on open. Also an option to automatically delete after reading, perhaps a 'would you like to delete' on hitting the last page.

I would give 5 stars, however the search facility is a bit of a blunt tool. More often than not I wish to restrict the scope of my search down to a particular magazine title, or even a single issue of a magazine. Use case example: as a user I want to search Car Mechanics magazine for "Audi A3" ... uh-uh :-(

I love this app so much. I would give 10 stars if I could. Generous free offers , and the subscription price is very fair. . I also like that they have past issues going back several years as well. So much to read! Plus I'm helping to save trees.

Just made an account and entered payment details to receive my free trial offer, now it won't let me sign in my account, says wrong password which I know isn't true and when I press the 'forgotten password' it does absolutely nothing, no email to reset password. Tried multiple times both on the app and online. Not impressed already!

Great concept and good price. However, frustrating experience in the app as I get continues unwanted "marketing annoyance" that is not possible to disable. If I find an alternative with more respect for paying customers I am gone. To ReadLy: you would surprise me if you actually act on feedback, as I have never seen an impact from any company.

Was ok but now disappeared from my home screen/app screen and I have to go into Google Play to use it. I find navigating the mags a bit difficult, get to the last page and accidentally leave the mag, every time

Great choice of magazines! I love the monthly price as it allows me to read so many magazines very inexpensively

Same problem as a previous reviewer. Have cancelled on time before trial expired, not showing up in Google Subscription but they are still charging a monthly fee on my credit card. Totally unacceptable and I expect an immediate refund!

Pretty good, but there doesn't seem to be any way to change your main profile "discover" categories, so chose wisely when you start! I'm stuck with crafts and DIY which has nothing I want to read :(

Does not have a reading view on most publications which makes it almost impossible to discern text.

I have been using readly since it started and it is tremendous value for money, even more so now you can get access to National and local newspapers. Highly recommended.

I really enjoy this app. It's super helpful very easy to use and has lots of choices to make. Magazines newspapers ect.

Excellent app. Works fine and downloads content very fast. Readly is an absolute bargain. Long may it continue.

I LOVE this app!! There is a huge variety of publications to review, many of which cover my favorite hobbies. This app and it's extensive librarymore than pays for itself every month!

Excellent, all the magazines I used to buy in print form are here. Can't get any puzzle pages to print, however.

Absolutely brilliant, I do a lot of cross stitch and download a lot of magazines. It saves me a fortune.

They claim that their app is great for reading on TABLETS but they couldn't bother to make a decent landscape mode. No settings whatsoever, no two page view. You have to scroll both vertically and horizontally to read anything.

It's the best magazine company on Android and unlike the one I use to use,this company has more that I can read and the app works flawless, I just wish that it would have the Hemmings magazines I read, and there is a few magazines I read like auto Italia, 2 from France I can't remember the name that Zilo has and several from Spain that another company has, but I will continue carrying those apps for those magazines until readly carrys them

Nice concept and choice of magazines. I think the user's experience could be improved. For instance, once reached the maximum amount of downloaded copies, the oldest ones are deleted: this is fine, of course, but the app also deletes useful information such as the "read mark" so you might end up reading again an older copy realising it only halfway through. Also, it could be useful to have the possibility to create different collections of favourites

Continuing problem! It was working well but now doesn't. Comes up with a message saying there a problem with loading content and try again later ...... how long do you wait? Anyway, after deleting/ reinstating, which didn't work, powerwashed my chromebook ... a complete pain and not something you want to more than once which seemed to solve teh issue ... but it didn't! Back to square one. Try again later ....! Either Readily or Google (Meta!!!) need to sort this out!

Great app but I think it could be improved ifyou could make custom collections & if there was an option to mark off magazines as finished ✅ 😀 ,the same way there's a icon signifying that a magazine is downloaded
