Ready For Reddit - Material 2.0

Ready is designed to make browsing Reddit content a breeze. Standout features like auto-playing gifs/videos in feed, quick top comment previews in feed, double tap to vote make browsing faster than any other app.

Offline/Spotty Connection Support

You can continue voting, saving, replying, etc even while offline. Your actions with be queued to be reattempted in the background once you reconnect. You can also setup prefetching your favourite subreddits so they are available even when offline.

Inline Link Previews

You can see a small preview of image/gif content links without opening the link

Quick Comments Preview

Do you ever open post just to check the top comments? I do so I added a feature to quickly do that without having to click into the post and wait for it to load all the comments. Just click on the comment count and you can get a quick preview of the top comments.

Autoplay Gifs and Videos Directly In Feed

Another feature that reduces that amount of times you have to navigate to another screen is the ability to play gifs and videos directly in the feed.

Auto-updating, user-curated filter packs

This is a must have. Hate that you got a movie or television show spoiled? Tired of filtering new political subs that keep popping up? You aren't going to be able to keep up with all of it. Here is where auto-updating, user-curated filter packs solve your problem. They are filter packs that you can subscribe to that anyone can create. Ready will automatically check for updates to your filters packs.

Other features include:

• Double tap to upvote, triple tap to downvote
• Inline link previews in comments
• Support for subreddit icons and banners
• Prefetch data when device asleep and connected to wifi
• Automatically refresh comments
• Light themes, dark themes, AMOLED, etc
• Card view, list view, compact list view, etc
• Replacing gifs with Gfycat to save bandwidth
• Comment thread navigation
• Multireddit support
• Multiuser support
• Inline table support
• Spoiler tag support
• and more...

This is now my new favorite reddit app. This app is simply beautiful and highly customizable. It's one of the very few that actually implement Android's modern design in a good way. Minor nitpick, for compact mode with the thumbnail flipped, I feel there should be more padding on the left of the text. Visually that is all. For the future though, I would love to see biometric security on this app. It is something I really missed on Apollo for iOS

Absolutely perfect but there's some issues. You can't stop the video from automatically playing after clicking on it's post. It should give me option whether I want to see the video or not, it just plays automatically and takes away too much data. Thank you for fixing Removal of Fave Subreddit issue. Just a request, please add Flair option while posting something too, otherwise this app is just to browse, not to completely depend on.

Beautiful rendition of Reddit. This is the cleanest and most modern Reddit app I've used. It is great for those who like customization. The only feature I would like personally added is the ability to set r/all or r/popular as the home page.

By far the best reddit app I've used. Has a few minor bugs here and there but is ultimately very well designed. Glad to see it back up on the Play Store.

My favorite Reddit app. I think there are a some bugs that'll be fixed over time, but other than that it has by far my favorite ui of any reddjt app.

Very smooth scrolling and nice card layout. Default font is a bit small and comments are too tightly compacted so a bit harder to follow. But i think you can change in settings. For me I still prefer Boost but definitely this is a solid Reddit app

Probably one of the most visually appealing Reddit apps. Aligns more with most of what Google is doing these days. The UI elements seem a bit too small, if I'm honest, but it's a pretty good experience so far. Hopefully some of the missing features make it in, so I can finally get off of Boost and onto an app that is trying to look a bit more modern.

Almost perfect. Just needs the ability to share comments and a link handler like Sync. Then it will be perfect.

Best Reddit client for Android, came from Apollo on iOS. Slick performance and smooth animations, but imo there should be a swipe down on images to close them. Please implement it universally, thanks. Buying the pro version soon (once I save up enough lol) The buttons and stuff should be a bit bigger too as it is hard to see and difficult to press, and the layout can be cleaner. Also, if there was an option for backing up the settings, it'll make the experience better. Thanks for reading this!

A lot has changed since I tried this. Now have bottom navigation, can change font and font size for posts and comments. Have multireddit support. Cons: the UI elements are small. The album viewer doesn't show how many images are in the album. Should either have an x/y indicator somewhere or show all the images in an album overview.

This app is amazing, the preloading is a great feature and it looks good! Update: after a few months of using it I'm gonna have to change my vote. It crashes constantly on some profiles and has trouble opening links sometimes. The lack of any updates for the past 6 months is also a worry.

Imo this is the perfect Reddit client. The design is really good, it has a good video player and it's a really good app overall. The Devs made a exceptional job

Compared to other Reddit apps this had equal amount of pros and cons, there was a lot of floating messages blocking visibility of what I was writing and it was very easy to accidentally post replies to the wrong comment, perhaps I'm just getting old. Visually it was really good though and the amount of customisation options and the ease of using them I enjoyed.

Its a great app for reddit. But subreddit names that contain numbers or special characters cannot be posted to because the entry that asks which subreddit to post to does not recognize them. (Ie. When trying to post to the GW2 or RDR2 subreddit they are not detected by the entry box). I go back and forth on using this app because of that issue, but it looks really good and the design keeps pulling my back.

The app looks good but everything is so small to me, and you can't change the interface to make things bigger, I don't like having things that small in my display. Maybe I'll come back when making the interface bigger is possible

Perfect design! Although the app should have an option to auto-delete cache after every time it closes / everyday etc (Cache takes an unbearable amount of internal space). Also, switching between different accounts is such a hassle since subreddits don't automatically update (I have to force closed the app for subs to update) & feeds take a VERY long time to load (~30s, sometimes 1-1.5 mins)

Little out of sync with the main reddit app

Jam. S. Jul 31, 2019

Love this reddit client, easily my favourite in terms of looks. Suggestions for the developer: please give an option of bottom of screen navigation - phones are too big these days to comfortably use the top. Also, please integrate with Reddit's favourited subs and either group them at the top or separately - it’s a bit annoying to have to either look for your favourite subs in your huge sub list or make a custom orderjust for this app. I love everything else about the app though, instant purchase

It's decent enough. I like the UI. But imgur links never work. And I can't long press to copy text or links in order to paste them into Chrome. Since reddit is like 90% imgur albums it got real old real fast. Fix these problems and I would be happy to come back as it's my favourite reddit app UI that I have tried so far.

Lui. O. Jul 18, 2019

It's good overall, but the sidebar doesn't work and the only subreddits on the manager subreddit pager are the Front Page, All and Popular, refreshing doesn't do anything. pls add a way to share a post or comment's link Also, most of the time, when opening a link to reddit from an external source, the content doesn't load in the app.

Aus. S. Sep 29, 2018

Trying to write a comment is such a hassle. Turn your phone sideways in the middle of writing something? Hope you have a good memory, because everything you just wrote has disappeared. Typing something up but want to scroll to make sure you're quoting something correctly? Hope you saved all that text, because when you scroll back, it's gone!

Tri. L. Jul 29, 2019

maybe it isnt as feature loaded as some of the more popular clients but this is an up and coming champion! great fluid animations that are not unlike some iOS clients! it still has a way to go but it's doing great so far!

Love the app! It's so pretty and clean, and so functional. It's just wonderful. One minor issue with the white obfuscation; it goes completely white, could it be changed to a dim-blurred or black-ish tone? Thanks!

Moh. K. May 24, 2021

Everything is fine but there's a bug or what but when i click on a video to play it plays frame by frame (in slow motion) even though i have changed the video playing setting but still getting the issue please fix this. Otherwise nice app

Sim. B. May 11, 2021

Love the flow of this app, have been using for years with premium version. However, same issues persist, updates are rare if ever. Videos load low quality, copy pasting text is horrible, etc, etc. Looking for new app.

Best Reddit App: Functionality+Design. So i typically never wrote a review in PlayStore but i had too in this one. I found your app through a reddit post some years ago and i have been using then. Today for a change i was trying out other app like Rif,Boost n all but i had to switch back to yours. -its clean and not too bloated like others. The scaling, font size, placement are just perfect. - Awesome functionality and user friendly. Your top comments fetcher is just fantastic. KEEP UPDATING!

Ray. F. Dec 1, 2019

Loving the super clean layout and the volume button scroll, I absolutely love the customization, but 4 stars because searching for subreddits are hard and need to be written specifically, same with posting, while searching maybe add suggestions related to what's being searched and easier to find subreddits while posting. Thanks

My new favorite Reddit app :) Intuitive, customizable, and beautiful. (Gotta love that material design.) The only deature if like to see is the ability ro choose the accent color in each theme. Cheers to future updates!

App is good for the most part however I think an option to not have immersive display would be ideal because I like to see my status bar untouched. Right now it's transparent and although I can see the icons, I'd wish to have an opaque status bar like usual. Please add that option and I'll update my rating.
