There are so many bugs and flaws in this app that it is highly inadvisable to depend on it in the case of an emergency. Shame on Maricopa County. Having this app available for public use will only result in instilling a false sense security. An app that people are using to ensure the safety and well being has to perform at 100%, a 100% of the time before it can be released for public use. That is what beta testing is for!
Installed for less that a minute and already crashed. Cannot dismiss a notification without turning notifications off, sort of the wrong idea.
I've gotten 10 notifications that its raining (flood warnings) in the last 3 hours. The app is useless without alerts but I can't handle the same alerts over and over. May need to uninstall
This app is worthless. I get one line alerts, but when I tap them to get more details, the app tries to launch but sits there forever. For critical information, it should launch right away.
The push of "emergency" notifications is useful. I'd want to know if a monster thunderstorm was bearing down on me in the middle of the night. HOWEVER: I do NOT need to be awakened at 4:30 AM to be told that it is going to be a hot day in Phoenix in August. Please fix that.
Have received 3 scary demands to evaluate now! 0ne at 1: 30AM! Yet its for another country issue. Faults alert. I'm sure they don't want to cry wolf too many times. So I just delete it the app.
pretty good bugs worked out
Excellent in case of any kind of Emergency
Easy to use
Nice way to get organized. Some keyboard issues (no cut & paste). Font issues on initial address entry. Can't enter dashes in phone numbers. A json file import/export of data would help keep multiple devices in sync.
This is an amazing app for emergency preparedness! It walks you through the steps to create an emergency plan and kit. It gives you alerts, evacuation routes, shelter locations, and allows you to send a status update during a large-scale emergency.
While this is good, it contains little ADA-capability in the app. Laxative purchases might be under scrutiny with data collection as they are under a flag for cheap methadone substitution. Overall there is an assumption of affordability in medical kit supplies and ability to shop in general. Maybe Maricopa needs an elderly person on limited income to do a walk-through end-to-end see if this is actually feasible in a budget? (Looks like it was straight out of an LDS prepper manual)
Had this installed for less than 5 minutes 🤔...
This app is terrible. The UI/UX is actively hostile to users -- it uses the full screen, which means its main menu is overtaken by the default phone navigation at the bottom of the screen, making it impossible to access that menu. If you switch apps while using the Maricopa County one, perhaps to look up a phone number, going back to the app results in a black screen and, eventually, usually -- but not invariably -- goes back to the main app page, not the one you were just on. Uninstalled immediately after the above shenanigans. A basic spreadsheet is a better resource.
