Useful when it (infrequently) works, but really poorly designed... often doesn't show alerts in app after a notification, doesn't handle screen elements correctly, locks up or stalls with a blank screen if swapped away from with 'recents' button. Not something to rely on in an emergency. The FEMA app is much better for alerts.
Good info but buggy app, keeping it installed but needs improvements The info the app provides and the tools it offers are useful, but the app has some issues loading slow and the navigation menu at the bottom of the app displays under the Android navigation bar so they are not clickable.
Unable to read the alerts when I get them. I am assuming the app was built for iPhones. I have an Android phone. I am also unable to access the buttons at the bottom of the app. My phone buttons are in the sMe area and if I tap the buttons the phone buttons override the app buttons and it shuts the app down. Its a good app with lots of information. Just needs an android version.
Totally useless. I get an alert notification, open the app, and there's nothing about the alert to be found. Waste of time and grant money. Just happened regarding a wildfire.
On my Android phone, the app bottom menu appears beneath the OS buttons so it is impossible to access the alerts menu, making this app unusable and it blocks critical information during an emergency.
It's installed and alert notifications are turned on, however I don't get any notifications even though my family members do.
This app will push a notification that cannot be further accessed. When you try to find information through the app directly, it's a jumbled mess that resembles a college freshman comp sci project. I'm surprised a government authority would approve this project and leave it in this state.
I just moved from So. Cal, and found about ALERTSCC so I installed it in my cell, seems like a lot of fires are breaking out in So. CAL, hopefully none in SCC.
The app can't even start up now; it complains it can't reach the server. My guess is that they've given up on it.
Contact integration doesn't seem to work.
No updated information.
Very Informative!
Would be good - full of useful information, but it wanted to update software, and that kept locking up my phone. Deleted it.
I agree with others. I will get an alert notification on my phone and I when I click the notification, it takes me to the main menu screen and I have no idea where the notification information is. It is not for lack of trying. It just isn't there. I think I need to uninstall it because it is just not helpful and is more stressful to get those notifications when we are in fire season/fires a few miles from us.
