I am IN LOVE with this app! It's exactly what I've been looking for. I wanted an app that was simple and I could just take a pic, choose the color I want to make and then it tell me how to mix it. I tried 10+ apps before finding this one and it's the best - PERIOD! I immediately purchased bc for the $2 it costs you can create your own palettes, colors and save/label everything. It works perfectly. To the developer, Thank You! This has made my art time so much easier. Great app, Highly Recommend!
A useful app, but perhaps some ideas for further improvement. I use Winsor & Newton Professional Acrylics and some are missing from the library. Could we not add to the library by providing the HTML or RGB for missing colours? To make it really special how about the ability to add a saved colour into the mix? Interestingly, your purchase option throws up an error, so I havn't been able to try that.
Great app, bought it after a few minutes! My wish list: - limit of 15 colors instead of 10 - reorder base and saved colors - search function is great but kind of picky. It could look for another (less saturated) color if no match is found after 70% progress. - wish for a "water"color that would dilute the mix, although this could be difficult and somehow faked with white. Overall: great app! Hoping for more features to come!
Incredibly helpful as an oil painter. It allows me to see what colors create what when put together, before i start mixing on my palette. Another feature you could add in future updates is letting us pick a specific color and recieve data on what colors to mix in order to get that result. Ex: "User chooses green. App shows user that green can be made by combining blue and yellow"
This is a tremendously useful app for painting. I usually use a palette of about 16 colors. I see there have been many requests for larger palettes. Maybe color analysis starts getting too compute intensive over 10 colors. If so, I would gladly pay a premium to flag up to 10 active colors at a time on a larger palette.
Haven't put it into practice yet, but it looks very promising. I created colors in a different app and, in order to get the percentages, tried to match the hex code by adding "drops" of RGB+white+black through trial and error until I learned of the (now blatantly obvious) search function. I was so intent on finding "# Hex" not "🔍 Search" so I ignored it completely. So 2 suggestions would be to change "search" to "hex" and to change the pipette at the very top to a plus on the pallet line.
I just try this app, and I love it. I think this app can improve by add 2 things: 1. The ability to pick color from real life object via camera. 2. The amount of paint I can add to the pallette. To be honest, 12 color really limited. Maybe you can add more variant like ordinary paint set (12/24/36/48/72). And set different price for each set. Maybe for 12 color pallette we can use for free, pay $1-2 for 24 color, etc.
Exactly as described. The ads are at the bottom where they won't get in your way; no annoying pop-up ads to close out. I use it make color pallets for various characters of mine so I always know the right colors and shades to use for them.
Would be great if you could customize the strength of "your blue or all colors" your colors. You could do this by setting color ratio on a known color of yours until it matches the app. I would be using lbs of pigment. Example any blue on App not strong enough to match my pigment. Two customizable selections per basic color should be easy to add. Tell me if you do it please.
While this app is very useful, it gets frustrating when you know you can mix that colour with the palette but the app does not find it. Maybe a close match option would fix this issue.i.e with the palette you have picked you get not the exact colour but very close with what you have. This would give this app 5 stars
Looks exceptionally good, havnt used while doing painting yet. But if it works as well as, what I can gain in 5 mins of looking through the app, I will most certainly part with my cash. Even the free version with the ads is great. Makes me want to support you and the development of this app. Well done.
A very nice acrylic paint mix emulator. Eliminates a lot of guessing and wasted paint getting the right color mixture. Eg. You'll know you'll never get a bright purple mistakenly mixing a warm red with a cold blue. Great for color theory classes. Doesn't have every color like quinacridone magenta, but has a set of included colors close enough to substitute. Doesn't emulate differences in pigment formulation between let's say the Liquitex Basics Cadmium Yellow Medium vs Liquitex Heavy Body Cad. Y.
Keeps telling me 'while importing the palette, an error occurred' - not been able to use it. Tried un installing, & reinstalling 3 times, still the same error message. Such a pity, it looked so promising! Hope the developer responds.
I LOVE this app. As a painter it helps me find the right shades I need for my work. Only reason I am giving this a 4 is because I could put all the paint I have available into my pallet or at least more then 10. Otherwise it's a great tool.
It is very good application. Just I hope if you can extend the colors option in the palette to include magenta and cyan. Many people are arguing that they are the true primary colors (cyan, magenta, and yellow). Thanks
Works well with the limited colours available, but promises feature like import palette, but there isn't any way to know where to obtain or create palettes. It says up to 10 colours but only has 5 and no way of adding colors. For this reason i can only give it 3 stars.
I've experimented by using little bottles of food coloring; brought up the desired color I wanted from the app, placed drops according to the number from the various colors it gave me... Perfect Blend!
This is a great app. There's plenty of colors to choose from and the ability to create custom pallets. This is indispensable as a painter who wants to keep the cost of paint down. As an added bonus, the ads are unobtrusive.
Not sure what to say, before I paid for it, worked very well. No I've bought it, the app keeps saying color not found. Even with basic colors, not sure what's happened. Such a shame thought this was goona be good.
I think this app was made by an 8th grade for their CS class project. You can't choose which colors are in your palette, and if you remove one of the default ones (say red or yellow), it's gone forever. Doesn't even calculate mixtures for desired colors. Totally useless, I'm convinced the creator hired someone on fiverr to get thousands of bots to give this app a five star.
App features are good but hindered by bugs. Some colors appear white and the yellows do not match
Confusing interface. Apparently no flexibility in the choice of primaries (RYB or CYMK). No slider style mixer. Sampling from a photo does not appear to work.
absolutely BRILLIANT app. the reason why i can mix colours 100% better. THANKYOU. improvements: allow to move and shift already mixed colours and allow modlre colours on the pallette
While it's not going to give you the exact colours you'll mix on your physical palette, this app is excellent for exploring colour combinations. Thank you maciej for making this app.
It's a good app it does exactly what I was looking for. But the problem they is no share button. It will be nice in future to add a button so people can share the app with other people
Ive used this app on two different phones the app works grat and i can get colors accurate on my old phone but this one not so much because every time i enter a hex i get a color thats either different in tonality and colour or something completely different if anybody knows a way around this please help
Very useful application, when needed to get some color from existing in the moment colors in your hands. You will be adviced to mix colors in particular proportion and you will get required color as close as possible
Useful app for trying out colour mixes when painting. Limit of 10 colours on palette is a constraint if you use a lot of different tube colours. Paying removes ads and enables user to add own tube colours. Is there a user guide somewhere?
Excellent app! It really helps me with my nail art, because I can mix any gel colors that I need but don't own.
So far, the color mixing is great!! However... I find it incredibly annoying, to go back...and back...and back to an image for every! single! color! Please, find a way to save (at least) the last image, so that the user can quickly go through a color scheme... Maybe even better, still, to mark on an image several points of interest to analyze. Please... I will gladly pay the €1.89 for this tool.
