Great app but could use some improvements. Would love to see you incorporate a way to hide listings you never want to see again. Another great feature would be a way to exclude certain terms or areas. As an example, I would never choose a home in certain states for a variety of reasons. Being able to hide any homes in a certain state or with certain search terms, would greatly increase the usability of your app!
App is no longer useful due to the following issues: Frequent notifications for "new listings" that I've already seen, and often, already saved. Needs a reject option to filter out properties in areas I won't consider. Also, property types I've filtered out (like trailer homes and lots) show up anyway. What's the point if they don't work? And homes I save that are sold, then rented, still show up in my favorites, then I get more rental suggestions! I'm not interested in rentals!
Love this app...makes looking easier and can usually see them even before our agent. Only hit is that I wish I could eliminate ones I was not interested in so they didn't show at all or the dot could be marked black or something. Having viewed ones turn pale is great, but find myself rechecking the same ones over and over that I do not want. Also, would be great if you could eliminate a property feature or area (i.e all houses WITHOUT a pool, or whole state except this county).
Great app to search and evaluate properties and potential investments or purchases. the only recommendation is that it needs a better way to indicate the actual status of the property in the market. Many times the property is already under contract and the listing is not updated... or at least I have seen some instances like that. It also send you properties(like condos) and very expensive properties (in the millions $) that are not part of your parameters and preferences. Overall it is good.
Just you try to unsubscribe from the emails about places that are not within your criteria of what you are looking for. I unchecked all of the boxes and it still sends me emails about houses that are nowhere near what I'm looking for. I contacted Zillow and they told me to do that same thing which I had already done. It didn't work. It proved to be an exercise in futility. The only thing keeping the app from being one star is that it is otherwise easy to use.
So I like the ability to have tags & notes to saved listings. It's frustrating when I'll get a notification for "price change" but it doesn't show the price change (the +/- value) just the current listing price. Another thing I'm looking for places in Alberta Canada but all my recommendations are for Texas with no way to change this or turn them off. Listings are missing key information like condo fees, which are included on MLS listings, so I still have to use a 2nd site to see the actual $$$
BUGGY. There's a bug where any house that has an undisclosed address will not show any pictures when you tap on the house to view additional details. This is quite a nuisance when I see a property I like that I'm considering renting, but I can't view any additional photos outside of the one that appears as the "cover photo" for the listing when scrolling through the gallery of listings. That's a huge disservice to the property management company that lists it too.
App is easy enough to use when actively searching but constantly sends me notifications for properties that don't fit my set search criteria. I'd like to be notified of new rentals popping up but it's a total waste of time opening these notifications only to realize that the apartment isn't dog friendly.
I'm noticing after the latest app update I'm not seeing any updates in my "saved searches" section and sometimes when I click listing in the email alerts the listing doesn't show up at all. I usually check IMMEDIATELY after getting the email. I know the listing isn't removed because it pops up again in another email days later.
Used to be a nice experience, but since I have sold a property over a year ago, the property is STILL showing as "claimed" under the "Your Homes" section. When I try to release from the drop down menu, nothing happens. I have contacted support a total of 4 separate times to absolutely no avail as they have not even reached out a SINGLE time to address the issue. TERRIBLE support!
It is a good app to use, it's good on gas and also you don't have to drive somewhere and it isn't quite what you're looking for.. So you have wasted time and gas and your patience. If possible I like to see on Zillow so it's very convenient for me to check out the statistics also as not having a well or electricity makes a difference depending on your price range. SO THANK YOU ZILLOW YOU AND I WILL BE BUSY, but at least I'm not alone on this important purchase. Brenda Perrigo
The app is missing so much functionality...why can't I access messaging or application info? Also inconsistent: search on web allows me to select open-ended (ex: 2+) ranges for bed and bath filters but the app only has the open-ended selection for the bath filter. I can work around it on the app, but why this difference that makes operating on mobile (smaller screen) more clicks?
Keyword filter is not working properly after recent updates. Typing in "new construction" or "backyard pool" should search for those words together not separately. When the system automatically separates word values typed in at once, it creates an inaccurate search. For example, showing "new" and "construction" separately could point to new bathroom features after a renovation and a line about limited construction due to historic district. Look at Trulias feature to fix.
Computer version is wonderful except I can't find how to print so i can have the paper copy to kale notes no and try to map out a path. The mobile app is horrible. It doesn't retain the info you saved on your laptop, even tho you've signed in. Does not have the correct information or same information that is on the laptop version. Major disappointment and flaw in the software.
Great app. Only downside, is when zillow attempt to connect you with housing agents, I'd never successfully got one on the phone. Not sure if it's just me as an individual, or if other people had stumbled across that same complications.
Excellent site and app to find rentals and homes for sale. Great filters and easy navigation. I love that I can search a specific area and then remove boundry to expand the search. I also like that I can save the homes I like in folders/tags. Been using it for many years and always happy with it.
Really wish the app had the same filters on mobile for saved/favorited houses (For Sale/Rent/Under Contract/Off Market). The only filter is "filter by saved homes only." That's literally the list and doesn't do anything. I want to see my favorited houses that are still available! Otherwise good app.
The past week or so it won't let me open the details for homes. Says web page not available due to internet connection, I'm on my phone in the app running off of unlimited data. Stupid thing sends constant emails and notifications for homes that are way out of my price range as well.
The user experience is fragmented between the app and a web interface. Messaging goes through the web, and certain things like applications can only be updated through the website. Why even have an app then? Overall the site/app is also laggy as well. So much more I'd like to say but in this inflated economy time is money.
Been using it to scout for apartments. Love that it recommends places I might not have looked at based on what I searched, helped me find some new places to tour. You can tag saved addresses with why you like it which is great. Rent Zestimate is also VERY helpful
Frustrating app. Only saves some searches. Emails me about searches I did 10 years ago that I have terminated, but since I started looking again, hasn't updated with current perameters, using old that are invalid. Aggitating.
There is a problem with the app. When I click on a property to view it, there is a pop up saying network error. When you go to report it, it also pops up network error and you can't report it. Doesn't matter if I'm using Wifi or 5G, it still says network error and doesn't show me the details of the property.
Great for searching rental listings. Doesn't have the messaging feature though, so I need to have both the app and the website open at the same time, defeating the purpose of having an app on the first place. Also, when you use the app to request a tour, the message sent doesn't actually ask for a tour. Also would be better if there was a way to hide listings you don't want too see anymore, and a different color or shape to denote listings you have already applied for.
