Great resource and access to information. There is a save feature for properties you'd like to keep an eye on but would be nice to have a feature that does the opposite: an option to remove properties. I can't count the number of times I've been 4 or 5 photos into a place to realize that I looked at it 6 houses ago.. And yesterday.. And the day before. Great app.
Awful. The search function is essentially useless. This app won't even allow you to choose your city without giving you the entire map of Canada and then requiring you to zoom in to the area you are actually interested in. Searching by various features and amenities within the home also proves fruitless much of the time. this needs to be fixed it has been a problem for a long time now! For the dues and fees they charge the Realtors, this should be much more user friendly!
Takea way too long to load on opening the app. The scroll with filters at the bottom of the screen (when looking at search results on map) is laggy and glitchy. I'd love an additional filter by square footage of the property! On the plus side, the property details overlay over the map view works well, and when moving around in the map view it loads smoothly.
Pretty, but three problems: 1. The share button only allows sharing by email. Why can't I send the link to family and friends like every other app? Very weird. 2. Hitting the back button while browsing a list of homes clears your search. Definitely not the behaviour I want because it, again, doesn't behave like any other app. Just close the list. 3. Clicking on "map" from a listing doesn't show the listing in the map! It shows nearby homes as pins. Shouldn't need an extra Google maps search.
Not great. The map function doesn't work. And the app crashes frequently. Also, I have notifications turned on in my account, but I don't seem to be able to view them from the app. I have to go onto realtor.ca on the Internet to view them...ridiculous. Finally, there is no way to share listings aside from email. Quite useless.
Only issue but a BIG issue is when it comes to sharing a listing with others. You can only send it via email from the app. You cant even copy any writing to search the listing to get a web link. It is infuriating when the rest of the app works so well. I want to use it but it drives me mad when I want to text people the links to the listings. When its fixed I'd give it a 5 star but its really inconvenient for now.
awful navigation... cumbersome app. The website is substantially easier to use (though it is also awful). I search for my city, and then I'm shown a map of north america... and have to keep clicking down to make the map smaller, and hope that I didn't click tok far from my city. No "list view" could be found, and I could not select a building style preference. I'm guessing the idea is to make it awful so that you just call a real estate agent. App will now be deleted.
The recent changes are horrible. Whoever signed off on this should take some beginner classes in interaction design. Just garbage. I'm looking for a house, not a date. List views are important. Edit: you can still use the website properly. They haven't ruined it yet. If the strategy is to decrease app installs and push traffic to the web, then they hit the nail on the head. Uninstalled.
Hi, I really liked the app the first time I used it. But after the first use, the app wouldn't give any content, just a red page that highlights the option to purchase commercial property. There's no login option, I've tried to tap and scroll everywhere, I've long long pressed many spots. Nothing. So I tried removing the app, redownloading it and its the same thing. What's up with that? 5 stars for the content I've seen but there's an issue with the app.
It's probably designed to frustrate the user so that they end up calling a realtor. There are tons of improvements that will help the experience. E.g it's missing search options for maintenance fees. We can only select one type and style of building at a time, while in reality I am more interested in a group of property types, like House or Townhouse. The app forces me to create different search filter for each. Designers most likely are aware of this and just dont care.
Update from Note 10+ The app seems quicker I think? Still no way to easily share listing. This could be a pretty great app if you could quickly share listing. Upped from 1 star to 2. Don't waste your time/memory. Extremely slow (using s7), sharing properties with other people doesn't direct link, searches often come up saying "no properties found". Using the desktop version on your phone is MUCH quicker and more reliable.
app is painfully slow, it can take 5 minutes or more just to open and you lose all your searches if you accidentally hit the back button on your phone instead of the back button in the app. App needs an option to filter lot size when searching for lots with a house. Empty lots can be filtered by size but the only option for houses is acreage or no acreage. Scrolling through hundreds of 1 acre properties while looking for 50 or 100 acre properties is a huge waste of time.
Starting the app is very slow. Interface is simple, easy to understand and use. It doesn't display all options compared to the website such as the type of building; apartment, duplex, triplex, etc. You can find more estates using their website to search rather than this app.
1st. The app doesn't give the customers the option to choose a specific type of property whether detached, semi-detached etc. 2nd. The app does not give customer's the option to cancel out properties previously seen, helping to minimize the same homes being overlooked over and over would be a great option. 3rd. The app doesn't give us the option to look up New home's or Older home's. I am searching for a New home and have to jump through hoops to find them. Crea did a poor job on this app.
Search engine is so basic its a failure. not having options like age restrictions, area exemptions and caps/values on strata fees/pad rent, makes searches near useless in some price ranges. going into each listing individually and scrolling through the listing for 55+/40+/19+ is draining. and then if you use the back button on your phone rather than back in the app, it takes you back to the home screen so you have to re-input the search parameters again.
Filters are super finicky to dial and do not remain selected from one menu to the next. The set back for me is the sharing option. The only option is by email and it is not practical. I feel like I downloaded this app few times already and each time uninstalled shortly after, out of desapointment. I need this app... if only it would be practical!
Unpleasantly clunky. This app could be great with some basic fixes. 1. don't lose search parameters if you hit the back button 2. dont move the map around without input 3. don't randomly return 0 results when parameters are changed 4. add floorplan option 5. add property taxes (as on website) 6. allow properties to be marked as not of interest for future searches.
Very outdated... Awful app website is so much better. The share option is awful, would be so much better to have a copy and paste for links to listings. Email is just silly.... half the time they don't go thru. Not to mention the maps, great for browsing but you have no options to see distance from work, and family etc. Would be nice if you could even copy and paste the address but literally the only thing not copyable is addresses. This app is very disappointing for something so large.
I like the website far better than the app. This is the stripped down version. It excludes small options. I like to copy and paste items into emails, maps, etc. You do not have that ability on the app. ²Footage seems to have disappeared. It appearss that there is more info online than onapp. What purpose this serves beats me? There are more but needless to say, I am not liking it. I am just a home buyer. Since I have been through the process a few times my 1st time friends trust me to help.
Basically unusable. You have to deny it 5 permissions, scroll down on a license agreement and tell it you don't want to log in before you can do anything. Then when you try to search, it takes seconds between when you click on the search box and when it lets you type. Then the map component is barely usable. Absolute garbage.
The app lacks basic and necessary features; it doesn't allow to share a property through another app (like SMS or any of the social media), it doesn't allow copy of a text, when a property is saved on the favorites list and gets sold or removed from the listing it just disappears... this is to list a few. I switched to using the web version which means this app is useless for me.
Quite poor user experience. The map clumps properties together and unclumps them at will, so it's frustrating when using the map function. Crashes often, lots of bugs. Can't detail everything that's annoying with this app... Once you use it, you'll see. Sorry to be negative, has a lot of potential. Needs serious help!
Edit: It somehow got worse. At least before you could email Realtors from the app. Now you can't. You can save listings but then you have to login to a computer to do ANYTHING with them. You can't share anything with other apps or even text listings. You can't even select text to send the MLS number to people. Not user friendly at all.
Not having a decent share option is really making it hard to use this app. I can find homes through this fine. Only sharing through email makes zero sense given the options available in similar apps. Other than that issue, it's great for what it's needed for. Unfortunately, I gravitate to other apps because I share what I find.
I really like this app and even started renting my current place from it 4 years ago. I'm only writing because recently it has become buggy and I hope it's fixed soon. When I put certain filters it stops showing any results even when I take those filters back off. Before that it was a great app to use with lots of filters and the map is very accurate.
Feature that should be added, when you click on a bubble of several listings on map view it opens a list view of them. When you're finished looking at that I consider the natural reaction to hit the back button on your phone. If you do this it backs out of your entire search and you have to reset all your parameters. It's infuriating. Hitting the back button should cause the list to minimize, returning it to a map view.
