Yamaha please sort this. Since the update the app does not record anymore. I've wiped and reinstalled and started over and still it doesn't recognise the drum channel. So you can't record or share making this app useless. On android.
I prefer the older version. The new one keeps get disconnected in the mid of songplay, every single time. Please repair this issue. Thanks.
the new 2.0 updated app mess with latency problems that i did not have with older version of the apps. i hope u guys could fix it,and it such a shame that updated app caused this problems instead of being more better built app. phone is Oppo A5 2020.
This app always freezes when I try to record. So frustrating I bought dtx 8 couldn't connect to my laptop, and now this app keeps crashing. Yamaha please sort this out.
App doesn't allow me to record my drumming anymore. It worked fine for the first 6 months I had it and then I upgraded my phone (Samsung Galaxy s22 ultra) from a s21 to where it worked perfectly, now it simply will not allow me to hit record no matter what I do, after deleting and Uninstalling the app, reinstalling it, it simply will not work. Broken app. Amazing device but terrible app.
Never ever have I thought an app experience from a major player like Yamaha could be so frustrating in 2020. Eventually (!) the app does what it says, but user interface just got to get better. A good start would be adding an option to browse all folders on device to find mp3 files and creating playlists. This app is designed to work with EAD10 and some e-drum modules, which cost over $500, so please get this done.
Messing with the latency. And everytime i try to adjust the timing it says data's corrupted tho i could play it again and again 🤷
Maybe you should change the name of this newly released update from Rec'n'Share to "Wrecked-and-now-can-no-longer-share". Seriously, who releases an update to their App which then makes it perform even worse ? I don't think you guys at Yamaha can quite grasp the idea behind the meaning up the word "Update".
It was a great app before the update, really. The latest update made me can't record anything. Turns out it isn't just me, others also have this problem based on the latest reviews. Please, please undo this update. The app is working good prior the latest update. Now I really can't record, it's always stuck at "connection will take a few seconds". Please fix this. Undo the update!
Used to work fine with my Pixel 3a, upgraded to Pixel 6 Pro and this app has become unusable. Such a shame as the EAD-10 integration is great. I'm constantly given "USB connection timed out" message. Hopefully this is addressed soon as it looks like many face the same issue. It's worth noting that I can still play along to Spotify etc through USB and the EAD-10, just not this app
I appear to be having similar issues as others here. Whenever I turn on my DTX I get a prompt asking if it's ok to connect the USB device, but the app throws up a connection warning whenever I hit record. I'm bummed, as this was one of the deciding factors in buying Yamaha over other models in this price range.
I had the app 1 day on an Android phone, now the mic doesn't work anymore, I can't call, WhatsApp or use messenger. No sound at all. I've removed the app and got several people to try to fix it and nothing is working anymore!!
At first, I had problems where this app would freeze and it would be very difficult to record. The issue has been fixed but now some of my songs are not compatible and I cant play them. I Have a samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. This truly deserves five stars but I keep running to issues.
Got it work with my Huawei phone, no problem. Started off great, but now the video is out of sync with the audio. It gradually goes out of sync by about beats at 130bpm over 3 mins. What can be done about this? Thanks
It's still not perfect and unfortunately since the last update it got very slow when saving data, which makes quickly checking a recorded take extremely time consuming. Other than that, I love it and the new features really offer a lot 👍🏻
