Since the update, I can now control the feed rate but the data logging has been unnecessarily changed. I used to be able to expand the graph by a single degree for extreme accuracy of history, now I can only expand by the minute of time cooked and im forced to try to interpret a few degrees on a 0-200° scale. You fixed what wasn't broken.

Recent update fixes the prob B reporting in the temp chart. But now I don't get any notifications on my temps or when reaching targets. I checked my android notification settings for the app and the settings in the app itself, all notifications are enabled. Assuming it's the recent update that broke it. Also the temp still is flaky on showing the most recent temp. Sometimes going out of the app and back in displays the most up to date temp reading. That was true before the update as well.

Overall the app is very flaky to put it nicely. Sometimes it will update the temp, sometimes it won't, and it won't let you adjust the temp if the app has been open for more than a few minutes. The alarm feature is a good idea, but all it does is make a little beep like a text message... I'll be lucky to hear that if I'm even awake, definitely not if I'm taking a nap. Love the smoker, hate the app.

So before I would have given the app 2 stars. Now that the new updates have come out, this recently released version in particular, the app is working very well. The graph actually shows the correct values for each input; set point, actual temp, temp probe A, temp probe B. The notifications seem to be working correctly, the other functions have been updated and work correctly as well. The only other complaint was needing to force close and restart the app. That still seems to be an issue.

Love that I can turn my BBQ on and off from my phone, set alerts and monitor probe Temps. Additions i would love if reqrec would make. 1. Be able to change the temp before turning on the grill (get like 12 notifications while changing the temperature, kinda suckey). 2. Be able to set the grill to turn off when a probe reaches a set temperature.

I cringe everytime the app is updated. I've had my RT 700 since January of 2020. At that time the app work fairly well. Now I have to manually refresh the app to get the temperatures. Every update brings a new adventure in the app. I've pretty much count on a third party temperature probe to notify me when my food is done.

When I first downloaded the app it gave me an error when trying to receive my email verification code. I posted the problem on rec teq facebook group and received an email from rec teq in less than 2 hours of my post. They informed me there was an issue at the developer level and to check back in a few days. The problem was actually fixed the next day. If you have any trouble call recteq or go on recteq Facebook group best customer service! They do not monitor this section for assistance

RT-700 is outstanding, the app is just so so. On the temp graphs I would love to see the max temp reduced from 1000F to something realistic like 500F. When I'm following the graph, my smoker temp is around 225 and meat temps between 100-200F so everything's in the bottom 20% of the screen. Should be an easy fix if the dev reads this. Thanks.

I'm thrilled to say now the temperature chart is working properly. Yes!!! Now if you could give us different options for alarm and notifications sounds when meat hits temp. I changed my 2 star rating to a 4 star. RecTeq Keep improving upon this app, please! Thanks for fixing the problem I had

5/16/22 The recent app update is a HUGE improvement. Greatly improved user interface. So far everything seems to be working well. Original review (one star): A pellet grill as great as a recteq deserves a much better app than this lame POS. Can't even use it to turn things on today. Just keeps telling me network error try again later.

Doesn't handle unified wifi SSID frequencies, other than that it's a great product. Recent update fixes the feed rate adjustment along with providing additional modification. Edit 5.12.22: another update which improved upon the last. 5 stars

Some reason this app decided not to give me an alert that there was an ER2 error code on the smoker. Overall it's really inconsistent with temperature reading. Sometimes it's working great, others not so much.

Love my new RT-1250, but since updating the firmware to 2.1.2 within a week after purchase, now I have no Temperature History, nothing appears on the page at all, just "No cook data available". I read in the forums it is because the Android app lags the Apple app quite a bit. Need to get this worked out. Update... It fails on a iPhone as well, "No cook data available". Update 5/3-Looks like the problems were on the servers side after all, cook today shows data... Thanks!

App isn't the greatest sometimes. It doesn't show temperature until I exit control screen and reopen. Also temperature alarms take way too long to send alert. Temperature climbs an additional 3 to 5 degrees before I get an alert. Not ideal for an otherwise top of the line grill.

The temperatures don't refresh automatically. You always have to back out manually and then go back in to the temp page to get an update. You have no indication of whether the temps are current or stale.

The app works well. It would be helpful to indicate which notifications it will do. For example, cooking a brisket overnight and setting alarms for the stall temperature, I don't want to be woke up to see that it is within 10 degrees of stall. It may take an hour before it gets to stall temperature. I want my sleep interrupted as little as possible.

App freezes unexpectedly leading to overdone expensive cuts. Works fine if you don't mind dry tough overcooked meat. You have to repeatedly completely shut down the app and restart it to get a dependable temperature. Recteq has ignored the problem many many months now. They should have at least allowed us to reload an older version...but they do not give a damn. The current and old versions are nothing to be proud of. They improved the Apple app but have left anyone with an Android hanging.

Great app has what you need but it needs history section to view the past smoke history with graphs saved and settings used *Update 5/10* Now my grill won't connect. Spent hours trying to make this work. App wont find grill. Wifi full strength 2.4ghz and it never connects. Recteq says it's my ISP and controller is working on grill. My internet is fine. I have 30 devices and iot devices connected to router and nothing has issues at all seriously just this grill. Such a shame an awesome grill...

Last 2 updates have ruie ed the app. I now constantly have to close and open to have the app update temperatures. The graph is now useless. If this app isn't fixed I will buy another brand smoker when it comes time to get a new one.

Only 1 phone can control the app. It will totally drop the other person so you have to start at the beginning just to connect. It happens every time.

Tge app needs updates. I reported an issue 3 months ago with the temperature chart. Simply put, the temperature chart does not function as intended. I was told by RecTeq it would be fixed in the next update. Three updates later, it is still broken. I think I've resigned myself to the fact that RecTeq is not fixing anything in the app.

The new upgrade on this app is trash. It never keeps the right temperature on unless I'm at the house. That's why I bought this grill. I go to the clubhouse now and the temperature is off. Upgrade is trash completely trash?.

Great update. Much easier to adjust temps. Temps still don't automatically refresh. Have to close app and restart to get cu numbers.

Hated this app, new update is life changing. I can't recall ever experiencing such a massive night and day improvement with an app update haha.

Finally. Much improved user interface and consistency. Its been a long 4 years but happy its here! Dont change it!

Can't stay logged in, occasionally temp adjusts don't translate, can't change the model and it show a different model than I have since setup. Needs development. Update- still garbage app. The wifi feature is basically useless, don't buy this if that is an important feature for you.

The app works to control temp and monitor probes but the temp graph doesn't go horizontal and the vertical axis is ridiculous -- 0 to 1000 deg F. I would also like to save graphs from previous cooks.

It kinda works. Alarms don't work. App is always behind in recording Temps. About the only good thing is I can turn it on and set the temp with the app. Recently the temp chart stopped recording. The program keeps saying its stopped.
