Receipt Bank

I use Dext it's no good if you have an android phone your OK if you have an IPhone i am going to be looking at using something else instead. Problem been you can't see any old invoices you have done got an iPhone no problem for you not impressed at all.

This app is awesome and all... the only irritating thing is that whenever I take a photo, the centre is off... so I position my phone to take a perfect photo of the invoice, but when I review it, the side of the invoice is cut off, then I have to take a new photo that is "off centre" to compensate and get the full total payable in the image... hope it makes sense. It has been doing this since the update in March.

Awful: it takes hours for the app to load receipts onto your receipt bank account and sometimes receipts don't load at all, but you would never know unless you double-checked all of your expenses afterwards. Also, when you make reports, they don't organise themselves by date, which makes it confusing and lastly, you can't move receipts from one report to another? The app also makes it very hard to see reports that have already been published.

Seems to work ok - I gave up before it was done. I scanned 9 receipts, entered (itemized and color coded) 6 receipts by hand while waiting for it to process, did a bunch of other work (over an hour) and then entered (again, itemized and color coded) the 9 I'd scanned, by hand. In that time, it had one ready for review, and that one wasn't itemized - it just had the vendor and the total paid. If you're not in a hurry, and IF it itemizes, eventually, (or if you don't need that) it looks like it'd be good. For my purposes, it was not.

I subscribed to the app paying $150 USD. Never used it after two months and just forgot about it. A year later I noticed the charge of auto-renewal on my credit card (this was less than a week of the renewal). I sent a message to support asking for a refund and they flatout said no, citing terms and conditions. The app otherwise does the job. But way to treat your customers - I honestly cannot recommend an app that knowingly and decidedly charge customers who clearly don't use their service.

Include the feature to add multiple lines on the description in the next update. Also make sure that all of the invoices are downloaded automatically without having to open each and every invoice for details. Most importantly, please ensure that (in the next update) that the accounts are arranged in alphabetical order automatically and that I can search and process invoices from a single supplier on the app just like on the website.

I tried the receipt bank app when I first signed up to receipt bank about 2 years ago and it wasnt great to be honest. I've just given it another go and its really improved. Its a shame that you can still cannot access archived receipts but it still helps with productivity regardless. As a suggestion for an improvement could you please add the field to view edit the invoice number.

Customer Service does not tell the truth - they won’t upgrade (or refund) my mistakenly purchased lower level subscription. They expect me to pay twice!! I mistakenly subscribed to Dext’s “Business Plan” through the Dext app. I couldn’t figure out why it didn’t function like it was supposed to. Once I figured out that it was called “Business” and not “Business Plus” I realized I must have subscribed to something different…I didn’t know they offered anything different from their website. I contacted Dext right away and told them I want to upgrade (or refund to upgrade on my own). They told me Google Play can refund this. I communicated with Google Play. They said, “We can’t do this, only the app developer can. I asked, “How do I communicate with the app developer?” They gave me the same email address that I previously used to communicate with Dext. I went back and forth many times (over the course of a month) communicating with Google Play and Dext; both telling me the other can help me. In the end, Dext offered to cancel my current subscription (but I wouldn’t get a refund) and then they’d give me 20% off a new subscription. Dext is EXPENSIVE and now I have to pay double, when I asked to be upgraded (or refunded) right after I bought it. WHO is lying to me? In the end, Dext simply closed the case on me instead of offering me the upgraded subscription for the price difference. UNBELIEVABLE! Dext told me that I hadn’t heard of this lower level subscription because they got rid of it as it wasn’t popular, but that Google Play kept it. I feel so disheartened by Dext & Google Play! They offered me a discount (without refunding my original purchase), yet they didn’t offer to only charge the difference between what I’d already paid and the next subscription level. WHY??? I wasn’t asking for anything more than what the average person would receive for their price. Why offer a terrible product that you don’t even advertise, that has almost the identical name to the next level product? I feel utterly duped.

I was really happy with this app but now it won't publish my items saying that there is an integration error when nothing has changed. The app is very handy for taking photos of receipts, catagorising the spend and normally publishing the receipt to my accounting software, QB, so that I can match the bank entry with the spend. A useful tool when it works. I'm still waiting for the online help to become available!

Edit - 3/10/2022 No response from developer. Can't see archived receipts. Please fix. This is annoying and does not help my business. ----------- My accountant loves it. But he uses the desktop version. The app is poorly executed. Please allow a little more navigation, and looking at older receipts.

Seems to capture invoices but there does not seem to be a way to make export so I can get my info. I still have to open app and write down all the info so irs the same as taking pics. Also a tip option would be good. Most places give you a pre tip invoice.

Receipt bank has increased our efficiency to a level where we couldn't have imagined otherwise. We use it for all our clients and they find it convenient to use too. It could be pricey depending on the size of your business but time saving is a cost saving in itself too. Highly recommend.

I would rather give no stars. I have used this program for months now and it is a constant battle to get anything uploaded. I finally have given up and deleted everything, cancelled my subscription and now I'm asking for a refund on n the months I have left on subscription because I'm done! And yes I contacted support Everytime. UPDATE: the folks that have responded to my request are in another country and have refused to refund my money I would not recommend anyone using this app. Crooks

This app has drastically improved efficiency and the handling of our invoices. The seamless integration through to Xero is fantastic. I cannot recommend this highly enough. The very reasonable cost is quickly recovered through the improvement in productivity.

My business used this to load receipts in Xero accounts software. We were a loyal customer for several years. Given the times we face now we have had to look into all costs. Xero use hubdoc and it's free if you have a Xero account, just as easy to use. We always paid the subscription annually to Receiptbbank and have stopped it's use half way through the pre paid time. Contacted support for a pro-rata refund and they won't, pointing out terms and conditions. Money 1st, Customer Last.

Functionality on Android is very poor. So much of the data stored is inaccessible, I literally cannot find a dashboard, archive, or any sort of history in the app, and have to go to my PC.

Photos get stuck in 'upload' unless you leave the app open. Also get stuck in processing but dont process. Constantly retaking pics and going back and forth to redo and check what has or hasn't gone thru. VERY FRUSTRATING!!

The upload is extremely slow, but it's incredibly accurate! Excellent app! Hoping that once I get the paid version, I can sort my receipts, get totals for each category, etc. What's the price after the free trial anyway?

This app is obviously designed poorly and nothing more than an elaborate con for your money. Wont accept my email address or user information. Although it has no problems alerting me this one less than functional page is a trial version. Eluding to the fact they want money out of me to get the functional version. This app is a joke.

I think it's great to be able to scan and upload receipts however I really need to be able to approve and submit them to Xero via the phone app. This feature was there in the old app but got removed.

I installed tgis app and straight away put it to work. I tried scanning 2 receipts and it failed miserably to recognise key coponents on either. Managed the correct amount and that was about it. Very disappointed!

I only needed this app for one purpose, to capture the sales tax from receipts. I captured several receipts and there is a field for "tax" displayed, but it was never filled in. Gives the ability to fill in manually, but this defeats the purpose of the app.

I'm at the purchasing end many km from accounts payable, this has simplified the Forwarding of invoices and receipts for me and also at the end of the system for collation, allocation and payments. Really Really helpful.

I enjoy using the app and the system in general. It no longer has that cheery bling tone when I submit a receipt. I really miss that. Is it just my phone or has that feature been removed? Can it be put back as a settings option? Please.

This app is great! Saves our team alot of time and effort getting receipts in for reconciling. They pic and send them thru at the checkout so our accounts clerk can process straight away while she waits for the hard copies to come it. Makes work so much more proficient!!

Great app! Easy to use and integrates into Xero very nicely. Just can never seem to be able to use the line items though, but it's easier to do it in Xero.

Just tried 10 different expense/bill management apps and this is the only one that made me actually create a username/password and enter my full name and phone number. Why not sign in with Google like literally every other app in the entire world? An annoying start to things. Would like the ability to tag.

Life and time saver. Every business needs this app. Especially if they have a lot of transactions. Love it. Makes storing receipts and tax time a dream. Integrates with QuickBooks. Amazing.

The app won't even load the page to log in through your intuit account. considering my accountant purchased this app for her clients to use, it hasn't worked out. I've wasted a good hour trying to log in. That time would have been better spent doing it through my own camera and QuickBooks. Your app is a joke. stop wasting clients business time and money!

Never got to use it. Downloaded it for work. Login button doesn't work. Pressing it a hundred times. Does nothing. Can't even login.
