Extremely poorly designed app. Counterintuitive, circuitous navigation, constant errors, i.e., "You cannot make a payment...please try again later," and so forth. The personal app is much better, but with regards to this one, that's not saying much. I love your financial products, Amex; now hire some tech people whose brains didn't freeze in 1987.

I was hoping for so much more. Very basic app. You have to sign in every time and can only take pictures of receipts. The note does not show up on the report just under the picture. Wish it was exportable in excel spreadsheet with place for notes. Also would be nice if you could forward your receiptd by email directly to the app and maybe put note or tag in subject line.

Wow, this app is terrible. I've only been using it for a day and had fingerprint login turned off twice and had to reenter my password, receipt that said it uploaded but wasn't there later, errors loading the app, errors uploading receipts, errors adding notes, and the app hung and crashed twice. Even when it does work, it's painfully slow. Definitely can't roll out to my staff. I thought all the negative reviews couldn't possibly be accurate, but I was wrong...

For over a month now the app just gives an error and doesn't load any transactions at all. You also can't just take a picture to attach to a transaction later anymore. I was hoping to at least be able to snap the pic then go match on desktop later from unmatched receipts... but unfortunately the combination of these 2 problems makes the app totally worthless (and my job much harder)

Constantly asks me to rate the app regardless of which option I choose, I have to agree to the terms and conditions every time I login and I often have to match the same receipts multiple times because they pop up in the "unmatched transactions" section again. Great start to an app, but definitely has some bugs to fix.

Works great, when it works. Problem is, that's only about half the time. The other half is server connection problems, failing to attach files, failing to load images, etc. But once everything is set, it's great for generating expense reports.

Horrible for Android--Never works, very frustrating to use especially for business. You need to increase your billable hours just to use this app, and it will still time out if you do get it to work. It does not allow special characters in descriptions, including punctuation. Completely unusable most of the time! Just updated and no better. Now I cannot login or see transactions at all let alone attach a receipt.

You guys need to get your act together. I take a picture of a receipt, upload it to the app while the transaction is still pending and when it processes the picture of the receipt disappears. It seems that this gets fixed and then the next time you do an update to your application it happens all over again. Major inconvenience.

If i could give it zero stars i would. It frequently forgets my fingerprint and won't let me re-enable it, leading me to have to uninstall and reinstall, and it fails to upload receipts more often than it succeeds. That's the whole point of this app! If i didn't need this for work I would gladly delete it.

The ReceiptMatch, which is the number one reason to use this app, works maybe a third of the time. Have to retry a ridiculous number of times including restarting the app over and over and over. This does not save time and just adds to the frustration of doing expense reports.

Constantly logs off. Does not accept passwords, even if correct(internet connection glitch), frequently asks you to use biometric login, but then continually forgots the login. Uploading pictures is hit and miss, upload while pending, and it will lose the photo. Type notes in too soon, and it loses to whole upload. I would think, with the funding amex has at there disposal they could afford better developers. It makes me use my amex less, for fear of having tonuse the APP.

the app works about half the time. I can upload about 20 receipts and then it stops working and you have to reload the app again and again and reset all your passwords. you think of company that does that kind of business could get it right and keep it that way. if it wasn't for my company using their card I wouldn't have to go through the aggravation everyday

App is always crashing on itself. rarely ever can I upload a receipt immediately after making a purchase. When I try, it just logs me out. Half the time when I enter in notes and tags immediately after making a purchase they disappear when I go back to the summary page... VERY FRUSTRATING!

I appreciate the ability to upload a receipt but it is buggy and sometimes doesn't show that a receipt is attached. I'm forced to put a password in each time I open the app, wish they would implement biometric unlock.

once again this app fails to perform the finger print portion keeps resetting and i must enter my password everytime i want to capture a recept when i try to activate the fp reader the app comes back and tells me the verification is not available try again later ive reinstalled the app several times and it works for a few days then it does not why amex can you not build an app that works, i know others are having issues because its only rated 3 stars.. very unhappy user

I understand that some people have difficulty in uploading images. Not sure what kind of phones they have. But, I've never had an issue uploading an image, creating an expense report or just using the app. It has worked great for me.

After the last update, the app does not allow me to take pics of my receipts or allow me to upload pics to match them up. Also the app split charges up so it makes it harder to match them up. It needs to be fixed.

Amex, you're a big company, a good one too. Why can't you hire competent development team to fix this embarrassing app. People have been complaining about the fingerprint issue for forever. I have numerous banking apps that work, with fingerprint, flawlessly. This app simply needs to be trashed, and start over with a good developer... fire the ones you have working on this now because they cannot get it right. And can you finally make it modern enough to accept punctuation in the receipt notes??

Not a good one lately. 80% of the time is crashing and not allowing to upload your receipts. Now you have to save those pesky pieces of papers for later to try again. Most times you have to wait days before it works. Before was a breeze to do this but now its becoming a pain to deal with... AMEX get your act together!!!

As a customer of Amex for several years, this the first time Amex has publicly expressed an unwillingNess to provide all of its Customers access to something. My phone I love. But if I want to continue using the app I depend on, then I have to get a newer phone. Lol really, Is it too much to ask a big company like Amex to take care of there Customers.

The recent update removed the notes field from the review screen when you insert the receipt. This doubles the time it takes to add every receipt since you have to go back in to add a note. Please add this back. Adding tags to the same screen would be great.

American Express has horrid customer service. They sent me, in the mail, and offer for an interest free credit card with them so i opened the card. Turns out it wasn't true. This corperation lies. I will NEVER work with them again.
