So far it is great it may not have all the ingredients that you are looking for but they have close to the same, so you can sub it in. I believe it is a newer app so they are still working on making the database bigger. But all in all one of the best apps and/or websites I have used for my recipes for calorie and nutrition. I do kind of wish you could swap between serving and oz for the final read out or how ever it is you weigh or measure your food out.

Helpful but sometimes the calories are way off. I have double checked with online sites and gotten vastly different result. Still its usually correct and very useful.

Brilliant app! Exactly what I needed! You can literally create a recipe and input everything about the recipe and then it'll calculate the nutritional value and calories for that recipe! Again, brilliant!

I've been looking for an app to get nutritional analysis of my recipes. Thought I'd try this. My review so far: I don't think the maker of the app cook; ingredients are not listed like a cookbook or the way someone who cooks would think of. Most of the time the pop-up list are only partially viewable. The way you enter ingredients is awkward and slow (can do faster with 2 thumbs and phone keyboard). I tried the from a picture option but would have had less problems if I entered it myself. The ap

Buggy, sometimes goes back to initial screen instantly after I opt to select an image from the gallery. The app behaves slow for me. I use the newest Android OS. I find the constant quote pop up annoying and I suspect it plays a role in those lags. I think this app would shine if it adds important features: an option to see stats based on food eaten per day etc. + richer nutritional values per ingredient, antioxidants or whatever (I really love data/stats).

Great database of available ingredients to use in the calculations. I make organic hot sauces, and finally bottled some to distribute. Loved everything about the app, except you cannot type in a number of servings. This likely isn't a huge problem for most, but since I was trying to calculate an 85 bottle batch, with 30 servings per bottle, I had to hit that dang + button 2,550 times. It would be amazing if there was an option to just manually enter a number of servings!

This app is wonderful to use. It helps anyone know the calories and all other food facts of whatever their dinner is. I highly recommend using this app for anyone who cooks, or just to see the nutrition facts of ANYTHING! You will, however need to be able to convert fractions to decimals, but anymore, Google will do that sort if thing, although we all should know how to do conversion.

A great idea but in comparison to what's on the market, a poor execution. Getting recipes into the app from the web is too complex for mobile devices with small screens. Other recipe managers do it better. Food Database naming conventions are too complicated, and limited. (Raw Chicken Wings should be quick to find, and no Ranch dressing). The output misses important things like prep and cooking times too. The work flow is just too clunky.

I was really hoping for more from this app, it successfully imports recipes from the web but when importing from a magazine it fails miserably. It couldn't separate the ingredients from the instructions therefore it lumped everything together under instructions. When I cropped the picture to just the ingredients it did just fine for ingredients but left me having to type in the instructions. Perhaps a solution may be to take pictures of ingredients and instructions separately?

Previous review mysteriously disappeared. It basically just adds up calories and divides them by the number you say it serves. It provide no help in the free or paid version for you to simulate different serving sizes. For ex, idk how many servings my pot of tomato sauce is, I need to know the calories for 1 cup of sauce, or 1/2c, etc. And to be able to see different serving size scenarios for meal planning with different numbers of people, like when having guests, would make this app useful.

I LOVE THIS APP!! I have tried multiple sites to try to calculate recipes and this has been by far the easiest and most comprehensive nutrition calculator I have found. I was a little nervous at first because of some of the bad reviews, but I noticed they had released an app update since then, and they are very responsive to reviews so I know they are reading them. I found the app to be very intuitive. I'm also dairy free so I use a lot of substitutions and I had no problem finding those.

First, I love the app. But something seems to have changed. I used to be able to add photos. But now when I try, it tells me to allow the camera even though the camera permissions are already approved. I've tried closing, clearing the cache and a force stop. Sad now.... Updated 11/30/20. All fixed and I'm back to happy! Thanks so much for the quick response!

I tried taking a photo of the recipe and it didn't work. So I tried to put it in by hand. This was mostly working until I reached baking powder. There were so many types with such long titles that I couldn't read them all. I had to keep selecting and reading them on the menu to figure out if it it was correct. Frustrating but I kept going until I reached flour. My recipe calls for all-purpose flour. This app has flours listed I've never heard of but no AP flour. I gave up after that.Uninstalled

Great app, says what it does and does what it says. I am a 67 year old Viet Nam Vet and I do not normally review an app but I am very impressed with this product and will be using it routinely to help me start changing my life style. The only thing that I would like to have is the ability to past a picture of the recipe in the saved file, other than that you can not go wrong checking out this app.

Hai. B. Jan 23, 2021

Really disappointed with this app. Tried to save a recipe but would let me log in and looking at the nutrition information it calculated was way off! It thought my dish was over 4000kcals which is ridiculous. Some simple ingredients it doesn't have stored in the database some as chilli and plain flour. Strongly don't recommend this at. Waste of time.

Difficult. Tried to enter in a simple bean salad recipe. Does not recognize simple canned beans as an ingredient. I tried listing the types of beans in the can of six bean blend but it still couldn't find each bean without it being part of something else. Also unable to read the whole description of ingredient options to try to find something that would be close to the actual ingredient.

I installed the app with high hopes and immediately tried to create a recipe from a photo. It input the wrong value for some ingredients 1 cup instead of half cup) and would not recognize others (such as tortilla chips, whole milk, etc). Seems they have a limited library of ingredients that fit a narrow and exclusive definition of healthy.

Works pretty good. The fact that it can recognize your handwriting is awesome. Most of my recipes are hand written and I did not want to type them up to enter in the app. Just take a picture and it captures it. Sometimes it gets the ingredient wrong and it can be hard to find like fat free milk, but I still like it.

Tai. Mar 8, 2020

Hard to read my text has to be bigger and the app cuts off half the words, cant log simple things like a banana without adding units. Looks like it would be useful if those small things were fixed but for now had to uninstall.

Gai. L. Jan 25, 2021

Update** as suggested by the developer I reinstalled the app and logged back into my account and my recipes were back! I had been trying it out for a few weeks and all of a sudden my personal recipes disappeared, but all is well now. I really like this app.

Inaccurate calorie calculation Their calorie count is higher than it actually is,would not recommend

Ale. R. Sep 4, 2021

You should be able to scan the barcode of your ingredients and enter the amount used so it pulls your specific nutritional information. The generic values in this app are off a lot of the time. Not a big deal unless you want accuracy.

Wes. 1. Jun 1, 2020

I had high hopes for this app. I tested it by inputting recipes with known nutritional values from a well known highly trusted, respected, test kitchen noted for using scientific testing for their recipes. Every recipes I put into the app was off my a significant number of calories. Sometimes off by 50 calories per serving. The idea is nice, but this dramatic difference in results is not helpful for someone who is trying to get a handle on their nutritional intake. ☹️

JoD. W. Apr 23, 2019

after entering about two thirds of the ingredients of a recipe, the app just quit, and I lost all I had input. Did this twice is a row, still have not been successful.

Sap. C. Aug 4, 2021

I like that it is really easy to add the ingredients for a recipe. This went very well on the test I did. However, there is no similarly easy way to add the method of cooking. As far as I can see, this has to be added manually, which is disappointing.

Lin. L. Dec 7, 2019

Update: I'm deleting this app. I never got a response from my email nor had they responded to my previous review. I have, through trial and error, no you can't use your recipes in other recipes, which makes this app mute for me anyways. I HATE developers that CLAIM their apps have the option for functions and they don't.
