Provides the flexibility I want in a recipe manager. Good support. Update: now that I have been using this app for sometime I decided to update my review. The recipes side of the app was already great, but the linking of recipes has made it even better. For example, if you have a white sauce that you use in numerous recipes you don't have to repeat it, just link it. Also, I am looking to how the link feature can be used to create more complex menus that include multiple items and courses.
This recipe app is amazing! It does everything I need with a shopping list (that links to Alexa!) to allowing me to get recipes easy from websites. I could not be happier with this incredible app. I have never had a problem with it. I was bummed at first (years ago) that I had to purchase it for every thing (iPad, PC, phone) that I needed it for (and was able to link it to! Which is freaking amazing) but I quickly got over that. There are continuing updates & so many incredible features! LOVE!
I've been a Recipe Keeper fanatic since my days on Windows Phone. It's the best app for keeping my various recipes as well as planning my weekly meals. I love that I can change the serving size in the recipe and the amounts for each ingredient automatically updates it's portions.
brilliant! bought this app years ago with an old account. I had thousands of amazing recipes from people, books, shows, the web... you name it. I turned into probably the most organized hoarder ever. LOVE the customization options, the interface, the data sync, etc. I use it all the time. Whether planning, cooking, shopping, browsing, sharing, whatever, it's an essential and routine part of my daily life!
This is the app I was looking for a long time. I'm using it to index and make searchable my physical recipe collection but its scan from photo function is excellent (depending on typeface it has issues with fractions but it's easy to correct). Totally worth the price for unlimited storage, even if you have to pay for each device (unless you're signed into the same app store account on Android). I have almost 3000 on there.
6 months in, I'm quite happy with this app. The ability to import recipes from the web or photos is great. Two things would make it 5 stars: integration with google home ( so can add to grocery list via voice) and a more flexible zoom so on a smallish tablet one could see directions and ingredients at the same time. Oh, and some small always visible tabs so one could go with one press between recipes. But it's a great app, and worth the money
Amazing! I have been enjoying this app for a few weeks and I love it! I would be truly lost without it, it's so easy to use. I did have some trouble syncing to another device ( completely user error) and had to contact support. I found them to be extremely swift in their response but also very helpful and friendly! Couldn't have asked for better, thank you so much
This app keeps all of my recipes organized, it's great. Simple to use. You just copy a link and it pulls everything in and puts ingredients, directions separate. It lets you categorize the recipe for meal types, or food types so it's easy to search. When you do copy a link over, the app does take a minute to pull all of the info into its right place. It's not a big deal, but don't save the recipe until you're sure it's all there. You'd just have to do it over again, but it's simple.
I'm trying the app out. So far, the biggest issue I'm having is scanning recipes from a picture does not seem to be working. Scanning takes an extremely long time before eventually timing out. I have yet to scan a recipe successfully. I like how you can customize the color layout, however I find most of the colors are two bright and bold. Having some more pastel or softer colors would be easier for tired eyes. Lastly, I would like to be able to cross off the directions in my recipe as I cook.
Really decent app that does a great job of organizing recipes and importing. I sprung for the pro version, however if I had a do over I probably would not have. The biggest issue I have is the ingredients and directions are in separate pages so I'm constantly going back and forth. I've seen other apps were you simply scroll down and the ingredients are on the same page which is far easier. If they made that change or enabled that as an option I'd give it 5 stars.
I have both the Windows PC version, and the Android version, and they sync flawlessly. As far as what I use it for mostly, it's amazing! I typically find a recipe on the internet, pretty much from any site with recipes, and copy the URL and paste it the 'Import Recipe from Website' part of Recipe Keeper, and it finds everything - even pictures, nutrition facts, prep & cook times, etc... I haven't experienced any negative issues with Recipe Keeper! I would, and DO, highly recommend it. It makes life so much easier in that you don't have to say "What was that recipe I saw the other day on the web, or in a magazine, or ???' With Recipe Keeper, and literally just a few seconds, you have it to refer to whenever you want! LOVE IT!! And, a Huge Thank You to the Developers!! I've paid much more, for MUCH less! Keep up the good, no, GREAT work!!
Per previous issue, I have this app on my computer and phone. Same log in and password. Computer says I have the pro version and allows sync and share. Phone says I need an upgrade. Happens EVERY year. I've uninstalled and reinstalled per tech support. It still isn't recognizing that my phone is pro. Worked perfectly before the holidays. Then, they did whatever check they do every year and breaks my version.
Best app ever for all the culinary obsessed. Don't even bother looking at any other recipe keeper. You'd be wasting your time. You want this one. I've used it for many years on the iPhone, then immediately purchased it when I converted to an Android phone and tablet. This is the ONLY app I cannot live without, and that even includes the ones actually programmed into the phone, like the Phone and Text app that IS the smartphone 😂
I really enjoy this app I'm using it more and more. I payed to have unlimited access which I thought was a very reasonable price. The main take away from this app is that you can get recipes that are filled with unwanted stories and adds and immediately get just an ingredient list or just the directions. If you like being able to save recipes and organize them you'll like this app.
I've been using this great little app for keeping favourite (food & drink) recipes for about 6 months now. It will automatically import recipes from any website and sort it into images, ingredients & method, it also has an option to add the recipe items to your existing shopping list (I use it for my standard shopping list too) for you. A nice feature is that it allows you to edit the imported content with your own comments & recipe tweaks. Thankfully an app produced in the UK, so you don't have to put up with nasty Americanisations.
this is the best recipe collection app I've come across and I've tried a few. The ability to import recipes from Web pages is great but the best thing is you can screen shot things from FB or Instagram and then put them into this app. I have only recently started using the app and busy adding screenshots of recipes I've been building for over 12 months so haven't even begun exploring the shopping list, menu planner functions yet. I'm excited about creating a book of my fave recipes too.
I purchased the paid version of Recipe Keeper to keep my charcuterie and smoker recipes in. I can quickly print out specific recipes or create a recipe book to print or share. it also easily grabs recipes that I want to keep off of the internet or pintrest. My best app buy in quite a while.
Complete con job. Once you have 20 recipes it requires you to pro. I feel like it was a total waste! Would not recommend unless you only intend to keep less than 20 recipes
This is an amazing app! I can't believe all I do is paste a link in and it separates the ingredients, directions, notes, etc just like magic!!! My goal is to take all those nasty printed recipes from the internet that I page thru all the time and find the links to the recipe so I can put them in this wonderful app. WELL DONE! I'm considering a 2nd purchase for my windows laptop. I currently use the app on my phone and tablet but sometimes would find it useful on my laptop.
A great app for your recipes. Very commendable about it is the fact that it picks up recipes from websites in different languages identifying the different elements perfectly. Title, ingredients, instructions and image. Without a hitch! I've taken down recipes im Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese and English so far and it just works. I'm impressed!
Have been using premium for awhile, rather useful app for instantly saving recipes from websites or images, including different languages (the AI sometimes struggles with certain fonts). Maybe a bit impractical having to manually set the course for each recipe to be able to search via course/recipe type, but it works well enough.
It only let's you put a few recipes in. If you purchase full edition you can add more but it stops at a certain limit mine stops at (248) two hundred fourty eight recipes. Now I have the tedious work of transferring them to another app before I uninstal. I have several thousand or more recipes to save. This app will not let me and the online help isn't helping.
Does the job nicely (the paid version), I add recipes on my computer and use the phone app in the kitchen to cook them. I had an issue with syncing, but an email to support was answered very quickly and the problem was solved, so thumbs up for support, as well.
Very happy with this app. Easy to use. Can save, edit, share and customize recipes as needed. Great support.
I have been using this app for several years now and absolutely loved it! It has lots of great features and I especially like the facility to sync across my devices as well as the ease of sharing my favourite recipes with friends and family. A big plus too is the way the developers incorporate improvements suggested by users, for example they implemented one of mine which converts imperial measures to metric and vice versa. Highly recommended! PS and it keeps getting better!
