Reconnect to Garmin watch

* Go into this app and press the "RE-PAIR" button
* If the phone is not used for 7-8 hours then turn the screen on.-
- If that doesn't help:
* Garmin has recently updated their password policy, so your password needs to be "strong". In the Garmin Connect Mobile app, try to log out and then log in. If you cannot log in again, then you need to go to the Garmin Connect website and change your password to a "strong" one. Then go back to Garmin Connect and log in, and when it asks if you want to add a device press NO! -
- Or --B) If the watch shows it's connected:
* Open Garmin Connect and select Settings
- Smart Notifications. This will make Garmin Connect ask again for permission to read notifications. Disable and then enable the messages permission. -
- If it doesn't ask for permissions:
* Enable all permissions by going to your phone's Settings
- Apps
- Connect
- Permissions GCMRunner reconnects your watch til phone and keeps the connection alive. Garmin Connect is not doing a good job that this itself, enten it takes very long two reconnect, or after some time it solved connection completely. GCMRunner sikrer att man kan synchronize and keep getting notifications on the watch, and the battery usage is very low.GCMRunner shouldnt work at least for Fenix 3 Fenix 3 HR, Vivoactive HR, Forerunner 235, men det kan også work for other models. My Android One Nokia 7.1 (runs vanilla Android Pie like Pixel) would completely forget my Garmin watch several times a day especially after a recent Connect update. After installing this app it no longer happens. Occasionally the phone BT toggles off but that's a much easier fix than re-pairing and reinstalling my watch several times a day. BT connections to the watch and other devices are otherwise solid. Thanks.
It seems to work but Huawei P20 Pro just won't show it paired with Fenix3, so doesn't show connection in the app (even though all the signs say it is.) I have started to get notifications so it seems to have made a difference. Will keep an eye on it for the coming days.
My experience with this app is trash I hate it 😡😤 It was so frustrating to deal with now it screwed up my watch and restarted it I can't get the date right now. I can only get the time right and apparently you need to get clear satellite service to get the date right.
I think I tried every tip out there, on how to change the settings on my Huawei phone to make my forerunner 245 stay connected and send me notifications. Nothing worked. Installed this app and now my watch and phone work as they should. Thanks. Great app.
I have a FR220 and samsung S6. The watch failed to connect only recently and tried all the steps on Garmin help and even spoke to their technical team and no luck. Downloaded this app and problem solved in 10 minutes. Thanks a lot and stopped me having to buy a new watch.
My new Huawei phone would not connect or sync with the Forerunner 245 and this app immediately fixed the problem. Then I realised I probably needed this with my old iPhone 6 and 7 and 235 and 245 watches as they often lost connection and would not reconnect.
Was really hoping this would fix my Garmin and Huawei issue. But I just can't find a way for the app to see my watch. Just as my phone never sees the watch as a paired device - even though it is - neither does this app.
This app helped my Viviactive pair with a Pocophone F1. The pairing kept disconnecting following Android Pie update. i think it was the blue tooth on/off part of the process that did the trick
BIG THANK YOU to the developer! I had called Garmin for help soon after I received my Garmin. Blame was being put on my S7 Edge. They had me asking others to use their phone for testing. Yes, Garmin Connect did work on other phones. I was officially due for an upgrade and since I had tested Garmin Connect on my cousins Note9 and all had worked great that was the phone I decided on. Soon after... my new Note9 and Connect DID NOT work! I contacted Support... more test! No! THEN I FOUND THIS APP!
Fixed the connection issues I had with my Garmin Forerunner 245 and Honor 10 (Huawei made phone). After a run out cycle I always had to reset my phone. This app sorted all those issues. Read the instructions carefully and install the app called 'bluetooth pair' if you're a Huawei user (read the app description too if you're a Huawei user). Thanks to the developer for making this.
didn't work for me and my Moto phone 😥.. was really hoping it would as i love the watch and this app was my last hope to keep the watch. will be returning... glad it worked for others but it's didn't for me. i have a vivoactive 3 and a moto e5 cruise..
At last an app thatworks. It is so frustrating using Garmin Connect as it is so temperamental and inconsistent in connecting to my Garmin Fenix 6. Without fail, when using this app the connection is successful.
Perfect! Havent had any more reconnection and pairing issues since using this app. One downside: now Garmin has less incentive to fix their problems;) Thanks for developing!
Its says that this app if not available for Fiji .. I bought this watch from USA just last week and also have latest Samsung S9 note phone..any idea what can be done.

This app helped me reconnect my phone, after days of problems. Recommended! Why Garmin haven't integrated step-by-step assistance like this into Garmin Connect baffles me.
I enjoy this app. Just want to know, if Garmin Connect is not running will this app all so start it, or must Garmin Connect always be activated as Garmin Connect does not run in the back ground and can be accidently closed.

It doesn't stay paired. And it tells me every minute that phone is disconnected

Having issues with my fenix 6s disconnecting every few hours and nothing seemed to fix it without resetting the watch or app every time (watch is brand new / using galaxy s8 android) - I came across this app after researching potential solutions and after following the steps the watch reconnected immediately and has been working fine since.
