Recurlog: Recurring tasks, chores, Reminders & Log
The app supports different scheduling needs:
- Tasks or chores with fixed schedules and deadlines.
- Tasks or chores that are less time-critical. The next due date is calculated based on when you last did it and not when you were supposed to do it.
- Activities or Events with no schedule. Just log when you do it or when it occurs.
You can use the app to organize, schedule and track your recurring personal and home maintenance tasks. You can also use the app to maintain logs of activities that you do repeatedly such as dine outs, doctor visits, and overtime. The app lets you add notes and values like price, time spent etc when you do a recurring task or activity.
Recurlog can remind you when something is due, overdue and about to be due. Using the configurable after due date reminder, you can let the app nag you for days until you do the task. With Recurlog, you will never forget any of your routine tasks again.
Some examples of things you can schedule/track using Recurlog:
- Pay the phone bill on the 15th of every month and also track the amount paid
- Vacuum the floor on Wednesdays and Saturdays every week
- Inspect and replace HVAC filters about every 3 months
- Exercise every day and log time spent
- Wash car on the second Sunday of every month
- Sleep (Track hours and quality)
- Work log (Hours, notes etc)
Types of values you can log when you do a task or activity: number, duration, yes/no and note.
Recurlog's Auto Rollover feature is useful for optional tasks. When a task that has Auto Rollover turned on becomes overdue, the app will reschedule it to the next due date automatically.

I really like this app,it just does what I want, concepts are well done, only thing that it miss to become my favorite for this task is the user experience, this feels like more a 1980 computer program with unintuitive user experience, but definitely serve the purpose. I am ready to pay for this app, if UI is done right.
Brilliant app that always felt like something was missing, and now I know. There is no option to have tasks different colours. It would be really nice if you could choose to make category 1 red, category 2 orange and so on. That was the all tasks view would really pop. Other than that, hard to fault.
This is super useful, and the only app that has the "advance due date" feature which is an absolute must for apps like these. What use is a haircut reminder on the 1st of every month if your last haircut was delayed all the way till the 15th? This app is the only app that solves this issue, and advances the next reminder to the next month's 15th. Downside: no auto-backups, no cloud backups, and last update was in 2018. Can we get cloud backups please? I'll pay for Pro!
Great app! This is exactly what I needed. I'm the type of person that uses more than one notes/list app for different purposes. The only this is that I wish the categories could be different colors*** and you could prioritize them. For example: I have morning, afternoon, and nightly recurring tasks, so I made a category for each. I wish that I could add additional tasks and when I categorize it as "morning tasks," it would group together in the "all task view." & Add non-recurring task feature!
Great app! I've been looking for a replacement of Regularly app which has been abandoned. And this app matches and extends most of the functionality of Regularly. I like how it allows to customise the recurrence options. One feature I miss is the ability to track irregular events and I hope that it will get added in the future. Thank you developers for creating and maintaining this app!
Great app for creating recurring tasks. I would love it if it would let me add simple non recurring tasks as well. Tapping on the task name in widget is not doing anything. Shouldn't it take user to the task details page? Edit: Great that you are focusing on recurring tasks. But as a user I don't want to have multiple apps to manage tasks. I want all my tasks in a single place. It would be a nice addition and your app will get more engagement.
Works flawlessly in 2022. I have recurring tasks that I want to repeat with a certain interval from the done-date, such as cutting my dog's nails with a one week interval, fill the hydroponic plant base with water about every 3 weeks, IPL:ing my legs every two months etc. Stuff that is otherwise easy to forget, this app enables you to set it and forget it. You can also set notes for each occurrence, or data fields such as Yes/No checks. Absolutely fantastic!
Very good app so far, but does not support MULTI-LINE (word-wrapped) reminders. I'm looking to replace an old app--no longer supported--that did not successfully install on my new phone. Examples of reminders I had/would create: (1) "My WORD--sometimes quality first, sometimes quantity first." (2) "Scoping well-being, steps, and targets--structure as a creative act." I like the SEARCH function in this app, though.
This does exactly what i need it to to keep track of my clients service intervals. I do think though that one client dissapeared off my list... not sure. Ive used it for a little over a year now, & that seems to have been the only glitch(if i did in fact insert the client & interval)
Not usable for me unless I can choose from some of my own alarm sounds/music in my phone. The only alarm sounds available in here are so tiny and short they will not work to remind me of tasks. Sadly uninstalled. Would be happy to pay something for this feature.

This app is helping me to get into some better habits. I told the developers I wanted an alarm option because I was ignoring the notification sound. They directed me to a way to have longer and louder notification sounds. It's working great and I'm happy the developers were so quick at finding a solution.
Perfect for those of us that need a repeating to-do list. Class schedules, chores, workouts... this is a simple functional app that allows you to keep track of all your repetitive tasks and check them off one by one without filling up your calendar.
The reporting of an event/task as to being current or completed is baffling. The edit menus are confusing. Easier to just use a basic calendar repeat function.
I've already tried similar apps (ie, MAcTrack) & so far you're the best one. When are you going to add alphanumeric sorting? It's a pain in the butt to find & edit single items without it. Think about it. The remaining 3 stars will be yours when you fix this glaring oversight. Honestly.
This app is exactly what I've been looking for! I've always been a list maker and love being able to use one app to track my chores and routines without having to flip through dozens of lists! Love that I can make categories to compartmentalize everything.
Good app but it could be great with a few implementations: -colored categories and tasks, to understand at a first glance what is going on when many tasks are shown; -tasks priorities; -option to sort tasks according to priority, category, due date or alphabetically in "Today" and "All" screen; -dark colored navbar when the dark theme is in use, rather than white; -see a task's notes from main screen, since at the moment i gotta enter the edit screen to see the note and i find it pointless. Thanks!
Unreliable. I can't tell why a recurring alert does or does not notify me on any given week. It might be related to whether or not I checked it off the previous week? I need the alert to go off each week regardless of what happened the previous week. My chores don't go away because I got too busy to check a box last week. Uninstalling.
I wanted a recurring chores tool that would update based on the last time a chore was completed rather than on a fixed schedule. This was the first app I've found that does that. It works remarkably well too.
Every is really good except how the reminding works. Alarm sounds and reminder comes up on the screen very briefly. From what I can tell if you do nothing it just goes away and you're just done. That won't work for me. I'll miss half of them.
Finally a To Do list that suits my life! If I don't do a task it doesn't nag me unless I tell it to, it just rolls it over. If I do a task late I can have it reset the next due date based on when I did the task not when I was supposed to. More flexible than Wunderlist. Just wish it could do one off tasks too.
Nice app, almost exactly what I am looking for. However, suddenly reminders of almost all items are set to 1:59AM, I fixed this for all tasks one by one and it happened again within less than a week! Would you please fix this?
I like it. Though it does need better features. Needs control for adding multiple reminders. And it needs to allow us to create more than 3 categories that are default.
I am compelled to disown this app even after I paid for its premium version yesterday to get the widget. 1) The task titles in the widget do not show even a full line, even though space is seen as blank in the first line. 2) When we click on a task in the widget, it does not open up in the app.
This app is exactly what I was looking for and reminds me to get haircuts and pay bills. I had a similar iOS app that did not work with iOS 11 and I struggled to find a replacement until Recurlog came along. Thank you to the developer.
A promising app. Would like to see the widget appearance be customizable and able to be made more compact, and color coding for tasks would be handy too.
This app would be perfect for my needs if it included an option to recur every n hours for a fixed number of times. For example, a daily reminder at 7:30am that recurs every 4 hours from the time it is dismissed for a total of 4 times.
This is a great app! Organized super well. The only thing I would ask for is to put in one time things that need to be done. I have my reoccurring task in this app but have to keep me once to do in a different app. Would love to have that option all everything is in one place.
Really helped with tracking and doing my chores. Can also use it for one-off tasks. Swiping away the daily or overdue tasks I've finished is a good habit forming reward mechanism.
Former iPhone user here. I was using an app called Errands. Really loved it. Couldn't find that app in the Play Store. So I started downloading and testing many apps like TickTick To Do, Any.do, etc. Tried like 10 of them and only this one was the winner. Thanks to the developers. Only thing that needs tweaking is the Dot notification. Not seeing it after confirming settings.
