RecycleMaster: RecycleBin, File Recovery, Undelete

Good points first: 1. I find the price reasonable 2. It was able to find deleted photos as far as a year ago. Why 3 star: 1. It made duplicate copies of the photos, some reached up to 10 copies! It included some random photos, emojis and weird ones like election related pictures of presidential candidates. That was a big turn off because it made it hard to find the ones I really needed. 2. No option to "select all" which required individually clicking the photo. I still say, nice try despite

I like that it saves deleted files, but I have issues... It also saves stuff that's been moved from one folder to another. This ends up takeing a lot of time as I have to sort thru everything if I don't constantly go into app & remove what actually needs to be permanently deleted. It shouldn't save stuff that's just moved cause if you move things more than once, you end up with multiple copies & I'm afraid it might remove them all including original items moved. Looking for another app to use.

Stopped working as before. This app is no longer a recycle bin for deleted files. Appears that you now have to share files to the app. Regardless, deleting a file no longer places it in the recycle folder. Not sure if the auto delete function still works either. It may have you set a Google Calendar reminder to manually delete files moved there. If not, maybe on the next update.

Simply put, this app mimics and functions almost exactly recycling bin on your comment Window's PC. The settings are categoried with a wide and deep array of file types but are grouped in a way that maintains ease of use while meeting the needs of most users. Being able to lock the app with a PIN was a brilliant addition that feels natural, almoat like it should have always been an available option. Finally, being able to change the colour of the theme is a small but nice touch that keeps the app from feeling too basic. Overall, this is a well developed program that is virtually flawless.

I've used this app for quite some time, but will now uninstall it. The new "share" modification has totally ruined its usefulness. If I have to jump through a hoop to move my files into Recycle Master, I might as well just move them manually to a backup directory of my own ...duh. Why did you have to fix what wasn't broken? Very poor judgment on the part of the developers. It shows a very definite disconnect between the developers and the end-user.

This app doesn't work unless I remember to open it before I delete anything. The whole point of having an app like this is so I have an automatic back-up if I make an error. I have emailed the app developer requesting help/clarification on this (on March 28 and again April 20). Haven't heard anything back so it's time to delete it and look for something else.

It wasn't what I was looking for. I needed to restore an important document that was accidentally deleted with an un-install. It appears one would need to have this app, RM, installed already in order to restore files. Essentially, it is an app, which acts as a backup trash/file rather than an actual restore app... This app has been misrepresented...I hope they did not charge my CC as I want my $ back...

Not recommended. It's just a scam don't fall for it people. It expects you to pay premium to actually recover files, it gives you the option to use deep recovery for free by watching a video but it finds no deleted files at all while another free app I used actually did get results of files I lost, as for this it just does gets you 0 results the free way so you have to subscript to premium for actual results of deleted files.

Used to be working like great, now that you need to share files to the app first rather than automatically transfer into the app really defeat the purpose of the app. If you accidentally delete a picture without sharing to the app first then the picture is gone. Hope they can remove the share step and just return to the way the app works before

So far so bad. Only good in charging money it does not worth the payment. After payment no one video was recovered. There are better apps that do the real restoration function without fee. Fee for nothimg app. Please refund my money. After payment of the fee for a week, this App did not recover one video for me. It is useless to me. please refund my money immediately.

I don't leave reviews very often if at all, this app was excellent 5 stars worthy until the latest update, why on earth would you remove the automatic backup feature, that makes zero sense why would I want to manually move my files to recycle master? That defeats the entire purpose of a recycle bin/ file backup. Don't waste your time downloading, this app is really is useless now. I mean it literally does nothing. It's just a glorified folder Word of advice- "if it an't broke don't fix it"

i finally hit that whoops! moment. turned to this app and it was worthless. my deleted files from my sd card were nowhere to be found. i tested further. if i defete *anything* from the external sd card, this app does NOT catch it. on the internal storage, if i delete entire folders this app does absolutely nothing, only catches the files deleted from within the folder.

It's a good app, doesn't work as supposed to, found the photos of the day that I needed, but the short videos were never to be seen again. Aaaand tried everything, just doesn't seem to work. I would like to have my money returned for the 1 month trial I payed for, that I used for the glorious 7 minutes of nothingness.

I purchased this app Nov. 2018. Lifetime for $3. It has been a real recycle bin for Android and well worth five stars. The new version 1.7.1 has made the app useless. You are expected to share a file to their app after you accidentally delete the file?? It is also no longer listed on the developer's website. I REINSTALLED VER. 1.6.9 WHICH STILL WORKS AS A REAL RECYCLE BIN. - Pixel XL/Android10.

I'd give zero stars if I could, downloaded yesterday, tried deleting pictures but nothing showed up saved in this app! rebooted my phone to see if that would help. but nothing. Sorry but will be deleting this and going back to "Dumpster app'. They are also a little quirky but mostly reliable. (I'm using an LG stylo 2 with android-6)

Tried the app in a panic because I lost a ton of photos. I messed around with it for 20 minutes before I gave up. I didnt figure it out and didnt have the patience too. Or it might have not worked and it wasnt me. Was charged after 3 days by mistake but RecycleMaster refunded me. That was the best part. They could have made it difficult. But they did the right thing.

Well, it is actually good to be a recycle bin, to recover some files that I deleted, and yet if you accidentally deleted a file that it is needed, then this app will save you from getting that file out of nowhere. So, it is necessarily download this app before using your phone if it is a new one to prevent the situation that you've been doing your important file again, and it is a waste of time! I also download it because all windows computers have recycle bins and androids do not. So, download this app before using your phone for the first time!

Do not install this app. The last version that worked was V1.6.9. When reported to the vendor, they only sent an automatic response and nothing else. They ARE NOT interested in fixing the problem. Very bad customer support. 02/23/2021 Instructions for sharing files to be saved not clear and not complete.

Test delete seemed to work okay. But looking for a test file in stock file manager, or even just in gallery. File manager didn't show directory tree until after several refreshings. Gallery only showed half of pics, others listed as damaged! I almost panicked! Immediately uninstalled this app, and thankfully issues disappeared and my pics are okay. Not worth the trouble.

I accidentally deleted my camera roll and I needed an app to help me get it back, so I searched how to access deleted photos and this was the first option. It had good ratings so I downloaded it, but after I paid for it I went to something like deep recovery and the only pictures it showed me were from my keyboard backgroud. I was unable to retrieve my photos but I don't blame this app. I cancelled my subscription easily. No apps worked but I got most of them back with my own strategies.

I thought this app would do me some good, such as find and restore some documents I would have liked to have back with Deep Recovery. It didn't, even on multiple phones. On Moto G4 Play it found ONE image file from February 2019. Useless. On Redmi Note 7 it found multiple images and half of them I dont even recognize as having before. I would be leery of this app's quality as well as it's misrepresentation of said quality.

Not worth it. It is limited to media files(photo, audio and video). If you are charging $20 a year, at least have an option to search any file with extension. For example zip for archive *.zip Not definitely worth it.

If it were possible I'd give no stars. I paid for one month of premium as there are some videos and pictures I really want back and I thought paying would actually get the job done. Turns out that all it provided was a bunch of stock photos that I have never had on my phone ever. Absolute rip off. Almost criminal. Obviously a huge scam to get you to pay and just take your money without any intent of helping you get your pictures or videos. I want my money back.

Wanted to restore a previously deleted document which this app does not do. I downloaded and tried the app then within 20 minutes immediately uninstalled. Even though it says free trial version I was charged for a full year of this app and I've been sent an email from Google play that says no refund will be issued. Update: getting a refund of 14.99 some time withing 10 days of the "trial."

Used to be fantastic. Anything you deleted could be restored just like on a Windows desktop. Now you have to share files with the app first. Wish I'd known about this change before I accidentally deleted files and then found I couldn't restore them. Have uninstalled it.
