I got a notification for a coupon, logged in and picked out a movie and spent the last hour trying to get the coupon to apply without success. Very frustrating that they don't automatically apply discounts or have an easy place to access your discounts. Or just don't send me a push notification for a discount that I can't access...

I suppose the paid version would be okay but if you try to use one of their free items the ads spend five times more time buffering than they do running which makes the entire experience unbearable, so I just don't use it because I get tired of sitting and watching the buffering symbol going around for 5 or 10 minutes to run two or three 15-second ads. The shows stream just fine it's only the ads that are unbearable. I don't have this problem with any other service, it only happens on Redbox.

Your app won't play movies on my Samsung TV!! Yes, I SAID TV! Every 10 seconds, has to stop and buffer or something. My TV has a direct cable to my Internet modem, and I have 1 Gig speed. Other apps on my TV work just fine! And there's no slowness issue. Even made sure my TV was the only thing connected to my modem and still issue existed. Ran a speed test, I'm getting the 1 gig speed I'm paying for.

I love the app and have no problems with it but the actual review I want to give is for Redbox customer service. I have had to call them a few times for refunds for different reasons and it has been a better than positive experience every time!! They have always given me the refund that I asked for and rarely asked more than basic questions. That's how you keep your customers happy which makes good business sense! Thanks Redbox customer service!

I love this app, it's very convenient and 30 seconds ago I just reserved 3 movies for date night with my fiancee. just wish they also offered something like how Netflix did with its DVD rental thing. I love the hard copies because I have an internet provider that doesn't offer good service and don't wanna deal with constent buffering or wait 2 hours for the movie to download so I can watch it

Redbox Customer Service recommends against using this app to reserve movies. I reserved 2 movies, and when I tried to get them from the kiosk, I was charged for both movies but only received the 1st one. This happened several times until I stopped trying to reserve movies. Received no refund because Redbox sees these transactions as "successful."

Playback is skipping on my device (using mobile data). I've had this issue with other streaming services since I got a 5G phone. I've performed all troubleshooting methods such as, clearing excess data/cache, restarting my device and checking download/upload speeds. My phone meets all requirements too so my device is absolutely not the issue, just as it wasn't with the other streaming services. Have your IT dept contact the HBO Max IT dept for their fixing method. Or whoever oversees coding.

No matter how hard I try to contact redbox to find out what is going on with my perk points. The app just takes you around in circles. I have not used them but they disappear. I can't use them for streaming because they won't let me. I've lost 3,000 points every month. To what? I don't know! So if you want to collect points for nothing. This app is for you.

It's impossible to see the newest movies because sorting by "Newest" doesn't actually sort them in descending order of release date (and I mean release date at the kiosk - every week, new movies at the kiosk appear under more "popular" movies that have been there for several weeks). Still can't zoom in cover art. Still can't reserve and pick-up with Google Pay. Movies are no longer removed from your wish list after you rent them. I guess they want their physical redboxes to die?

Great option to still rent movies at a low cost. There is also the same easy option to rent on-demand. And an added bonus are the free channels and movies available online. Runs on multiple platforms.

Just downloaded it, got almost all the way through the setup just for it to flat out refuse to take the expiration date for my card. It won't save it at all no matter how many times I put it in and hit okay. It pops up the ! Symbol saying I left the field empty... This was disappointing to say the least..

Mixed results with logins. When I try to login using my PC, almost always get error message "sorry something went wrong please try again". I try again and get the same message. Very frustrating. My work around is then to use my phone app which works without a problem.

I previously gave the mobile app 3 stars, but since then I discovered the problems I was having were not caused by the app but my internet provider and has since been fixed and I am no longer experiencing problems while using the mobile app, it works very well and is easy to navigate. I have changed my rating to 5 stars.

I have had several re tal attempts fail. Including, one rental that I was charged for, but the redbox was out of order. And I was unable to seek credit as there is no option in the service drop down list.

I use the app and kioskes all the time! actually had a problem with a disc and was able to talk to someone with their customer service and resolved it immediately. so impressed. and if you like to buy the movies you cant beat these prices

Only complaint I have is on the reward points, I think they should also apply to streaming rentals as well, no one wants to have to go and get a DVD and then have to return it the next day.. I have like 2000 points and not going to use them because of this!

Love this app!! Has a really good selection of choices for free watching. The only thing I didn't really like is the amount of adds you have to watch to get through a movie is pretty ridiculous. I completely understand you have to watch adds to watch for free but having to sit through 5-14 adds at a time is atrocious!! Other apps have one or two and they're short ones to watch for free also.

EDIT: So far, the only thing I can't use is my free movie rentals. I have two Free rentals that can only be used at the kiosk. I have since found the promos for 50 cents off etc in the app. Thank you for the response, Redbox! I hate the fact that being homebound means I lose out on all the specials. none of the coupons work when streaming, so I have to go out of my way to drive to a kiosk. Coupons should be available for streaming as well. I would use the service a lot more if I could.

App is decent except literally every time I add something to my cart, a few seconds later I get a message that my session has expired and removes item from cart. Then have to go find it again and re-add and it will let me complete the transaction. Annoying but such good deals I keep dealing with it :p Update: I've uninstalled and reinstalled, but an added item in cart still throws an error that my session has expired and I need to start over. I'll send an email as requested when I can. S10/os11

Great Great you got to handed to these guys they are doing all they can to keep there customers. My family was in the movie rental business in the late 80's early 90's and it was tough back then with a B.buster on ever cornor. Redbox has it where you can stream on demand, pick it up at a kiosks store near you plus rewards program and did I forget the best part of this? You can even watch some for free yesss I said FREE you just have to watch a few short commercials. So go download this app. 😉

since the departure of in-store movie rentals (RIP Movie Gallery/Blockbuster), Redbox has stepped up the plate to fill the gap. Not only have they provide multiple copies of the same new releases, but they make sure their kiosks are located in convenient places! Utilizing their app has never failed, always providing the most up-to-date stock of releases; now with an awesome way of securing your movies before you even get to the kiosk! Thank you RedBox for being there for all of us!

Am so dissatisfied, have have send messages to the email given, no reply and the app not functioning properly, free movies with ads not playing, I screen shot the problem nothing done, so am questioning your reply interms of my email and my private information.....free tv working well but the free movies with ads not playing....am using a Samsung A10 phone, think I give all information from those times til no so the problem can be ratify.

Beneficial resource that's easy to navigate; thrifty & nifty. I've earned over 4,000 points BUYING movies at the kiosk, and have only ever rented 1 DVD. I also watch Redbox via my Roku . I feel I should be able to use my points the same way I earned them; purchase at kiosk &/or online. Everyone likes options, & 'we the people' are all about FREEDOM of choice. Controlling a supposed gift cost them a perfect score.

Used to be good but now when I go to my messages it won't let me open them. Comes back with a fault that says "message is not loaded yet in full" have missed out on several coupon opportunities which is very frustrating. *in addition I sent an email "to your developers" to the address below on 2/28/22 and have recieved no communication and still can't access any messages despite having the latest update 3/8/22 still no communication from your team

This app is horrible! Doesn't let me sign in I've unstalled and install again and nothing works. Doesn't even let me see what movies they have. It just says Unable to load, Pull to try again. Very disappointed!
