REDCap Mobile App
Collect your REDCap data in an offline environment in the REDCap mobile app, and then sync your data back to your project on a REDCap server.
REDCap is a web application, which requires the Internet to be used, but the REDCap mobile app allows for offline data collection for your REDCap projects. You can create your project in REDCap, securely download your project to the REDCap mobile app on your Android, collect data on the device (with or without an Internet connection), and then securely send your data back to your project on a REDCap server.

Who is the REDCap Mobile App for? In order to use the REDCap Mobile App, REDCap must be installed on your institution’s server and must be at version 6.5.0 or higher. The REDCap Mobile App is designed to fit the following scenarios:
• A REDCap project that needs data to be collected without any Internet access available.
• A REDCap project that needs data to be collected with sporadic Internet access.
If mobile devices are desired for use in REDCap data collection, and if WiFi or cellular Internet is amply available, then it is suggested to use the REDCap mobile web view that is available on the REDCap server, which provides real-time access to data.
What is REDCap? REDCap is a mature, secure web application for building and managing online surveys and databases, and it is used by hundreds of thousands of users around the world (http://projectredcap.org). Before setting up a REDCap project in the app, you must already have a user account on a REDCap server hosted by a participating REDCap partner institution. What are some limitations of this app? The REDCap mobile app runs in conjunction with the REDCap web application software. You must already have a REDCap user account and project on a REDCap server before being able to download the project to the app. The app cannot function or stand independently without a REDCap server.

Recap is great but lately, it has stopped working on my android devices version 4.4.4.....been using it on the devices for the last 4years.
Error when uploading large data even after updating to latest version. Had to resolve to use emergency data dump. Could you guys check on that

it is a little problems on format on tablet. difficult to see than before.
Kindly check the issue that on mobile application the calculated fied is not working and creating issue that if there is a defined range of differnce and the field must depend on the defined range it is not working on mobile app..kindly fix it .
Versions from 5.19.10 don't refresh or scan the project on version 10.6.3, we had to downgrade the version in order to scan and refresh...

Please allow this app to be installed on Chromebooks. Most new chromebooks support android apps, are cheap, secure, easy to maintain; some support touch and/or are rugged. This would give a third platform to use the app on (next to phones&tablets, iOS&android), a platform that would be a very nice fit with the REDCap mobile app intended use cases.
It doesn't work with the Shazam module at all! My instruments with html coded tables don't show up correctly and have huge blank white spaces. Definitely unusable because of this. Please fix it!

I don't now why, but it doesn't work on my Tablet (Android 4.3) .... When I run it first, the app asks passwords for Admin and for Collector. After that, if you disconnect , you can't reconnect anymore with the same password. Need Help please!

This sophisticated tool is a fantastic way to collect data for upload into REDCAP projects when your research subjects are where there's limited or no Internet connectivity.
As of latest Android update project seems to be working. Cannot enter text into ontology fields.
I found problem in REDCap mobile apps. Whenever I open my project in the device, there appears a white screen and it does not change. When the device goes to sleep mode and I open it again with the user password same thing happens. I am using 9 Samsung devices and 4 of them have same problem. It worked for initial couple of days but now it is problematic. Can anyone help me with this?
