Tried several clients, but I always come back to rif. It's fast, clean, very easy to navigate. Some may argue that the design is a bit outdated, I actually don't mind it, maybe I'm just used to it, but it gives you the closest experience to old reddit on mobile. Haven't seen new features since I use it, but it still has active development and regular bug fixes. I think it's the best reddit client for Android. In fact it's so good, that it's the main reason I couldn't switch to iOS.

Faster and easier to use than the official app. Would love option for videos to play in feed rather than having to tap to open. Absolutely worth it to pay for the ad free version, no subscription. Have been using the app for years, and it keeps getting better, only Reddit client I like.

Love this app! The UI is much better than the Reddit website and app. Card view and dark mode looks very nice. Easy to switch between subreddits, Chang settings. The paid version of the app is a small price to pay so you can stop seeing the ads reddit puts out.

Best reddit viewer I've used. Been using for years. Download videos in app. Clean simple viewer with no adds. Multiple themes and layouts. Easy to go-to comments, upvote, collapse...etc. all controls clean and simple. I hope they never change.

Good app, clean browsing experience for reddit + ability to save pictures and videos. Only vice is you have to manually re-enable link permissions because of Android 12 update, which is a small annoyance.

I have been using and loving the free version of RIF for years and figured it was time to give some dough in exchange for the consistent stream of memes. While there are some nice improvements, like the much better "reddit album" viewer, unfortunately this premium version keeps randomly failing to connect to Reddit. I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling but it still occasionally fails even when the free version of RIF can. You guys rock, so I'm sure this will be fixed soon.

If you prefer the old.reddit minimal style, then this is the best app for you. Just turn off cards setting in appearance, and you'll see more posts at once on your screen.

Have been using rif over the actual reddit app for several years now, wouldn't change it for anything else. UI is incredibly accessible and easy to read, everything is well streamlined. Super worth it.

It's quick, it's reliable, it can do almost everything you can do on desktop (when can we gild people again?). What more can you ask for? I will caution that it's a bit of a storage hog, so you might want to grab another app or prepare to clear some space if you're super-duper tight, but for everyone else, this is the perfect Reddit app.

I was a long time user of a porcine competitor but have recently made the switch. Being able to filter out posts in a subreddit by flair is ultimately what won me over, but the more I use it, the more I enjoy the features and customizability of the app. Every time I've come across something where I think "I wish it wouldn't", I've found the option to make it not. (The only complaint I could muster ip at this point is the length of the name of the app :D).

Slick app for browsing Reddit. I like it a little better than the official app or other third party options because it doesn't feel bloated and it's efficient to navigate.

There needs to be a "mute videos automatically" feature. I dislike needing to click MUTE on every video.

I love everything about this app but I have to say, I feel like it's getting a bit stale. There's more that could be done with this app but it doesn't feel like it wants to improve usability. Classic no frills experience is great but there are a lot reddit apps out there now and some of them have neat features I'd love to see implemented. Like being able search for new subreddits in the sidebar, for one.

Amazing app that I've used for nearly eight years. Unfortunately, I can't log in to my account through the app now. I hope this can be fixed soon, as the official reddit app is horrendous.

Outstanding. Nice simple interface, no ads, and a massive reduction in data use.

I've tried a number of mobile apps for Reddit over the years, but I always come back to RIF. It is the closest I have found to replicating the old.reddit experience for mobile.

Was running rif before, then went to the official app for a reason I can't even remember. The official app is so buggy when it comes to playing videos, etc, that I've come back to the fold and paid for the platinum version to support the developer. I didn't see ads with the free one anyway due to an ad-blocker (but saw placeholders for them.)

Tom. L. Apr 18, 2022

Can't use this anymore due to having to reassociate links every time my phone updates. Not worth it, I'd rather deal with the ads in the official app.

mik. b. May 10, 2022

Been using the free version for years. By far my favorite reddit experience. More than happy to upgrade to paid version to support the devs.

Col. P. Feb 11, 2022

I've been using the base version for years, and only just realized today there was an ad-free one. This has all the many benefits of the base version, and $3 for no ads is criminally cheap.

Pog. G. May 24, 2022

One of the best ways to browse Reddit on mobile. Needs an easier way to comment usernames and Subreddits, and message users, but other than that, the reason I paid for the app

Jay. K. Dec 17, 2021

Have been using the free version for like 5 years. Was using it when I was in school, college, got my first job now and this is the first app I bought with my own money lol. Totally worth it. There weren't many ads in the free version, also had same features as the paid app, but I wanted to support the devs for making a great app. Best reddit app on Android. 1000 times better than the official app

Jer. R. Jan 17, 2022

Pretty great overall but it has trouble with YouTube videos. They seem to buffer slowly and pause/stutter. No issues with the same videos when watched from outside the app.

Ama. B. Feb 20, 2022

Literally my only criticism is that they don't advertise that they have a premium version in the app. I've been using rif for 8 years and would have gladly paid the 3 bucks for premium a LONG time ago. As another person said, they could get away with charging more, it's well worth it.

Chr. L. May 19, 2022

Recently whenever I upload an image (direct url), the image is very low-quality/resolution.

Kev. C. Apr 24, 2022

it's rif which is the best reddit app on mobile. can't view profiles for some reason but it's ok. thanks for being the app I've used for reddit for like 7 years i think 3 bucks is a steal for that.
