Not Impressed. A lot of the areas in N Central Florida I input came back with 'Not Available'. Then when I removed the problem areas from the Saved Search and Updated with other Zip Codes, the app didn't update the search map. I do like the way the map shows the property lines, but this app is severely lacking compared to Zillow, Realtor, and Trulia.
Was very happy with the app for a long time. But something has broken over the last month+. I rely heavily on saved searches. And the app had been fine. But the last several weeks, saved searches do not work right. When I first open the app and run a saved search, it was fine. But if I try to refresh the data, it loses the borders of my saved search and it won't rerun the saves search. I have to exit the app entirely and try again. Then today, even that doesn't work.
This last update seems to have broken the saved searches functionality. When I try to view my searches, the app loading widget just spins. 9 out of 10 times, it never loads the results. When it does, it takes a really long time to do so. It was a great app until this last update, which I used every day. Now, I am using other apps that actually load the results.
The app is good overall but for me it's almost unusable because of one major problem. Many of the listings erroneously list 3000+ ACRES for the lot size when actually it's 3000+ feet. So the data is bad and makes it impossible to use the minimum lot size filter which is the most important filter for my property search. I haven't had this issue with other apps like Zillow.
This feed on this app freezes, and I have to go into settings to force stop and then reopen it. Very frustrating. Update: now I'm not even able to force stop it. When I go to Settings it says "menu not currently available". I've never seen that before. Seems like this app is unraveling.
I've set parameters several times yet continue to get notifications nothing like my requests. also, more often than not, the highlighted portion on the map feature is not the property being posted. aside from my map of favorites, I see no good reason I keep this app.
Not a bad overall but one major issue. There are price histories that get removed. I was watching some houses that I know had a previous price, then one day I go back and see the previous price is now blank. Confirmed on HouseSigma that there was a previous listed price.
the filters don't work, still get listings don't care to see. no easy way to see homes in search area without clicking on each one. difficulty getting pictures to load on some listings.
Failure to exit the app via back button has finally been fixed. The previous response wasn't very helpful as the option doesn't exist by that name. I think I did find it, as I haven't had those emails lately. But the email options are poorly named so it was hard to find.
This app was helpful at first. Lately, a Redfin agent for local area has been listing lots of homes as back on the market or new in (town name). The ad then indicates that the house is not for sale, and displays an "I am the owner" button to push. There is no detailed information - just address, price, number of bedrooms and baths.
I have a modern phone. this app is horrible. bubby. stop telling me it's out of a service area OVER a house I'm trying to look at. also constantly resetting the map to Seattle. search is spotty and sometimes loads sometimes doesn't. Who QAs this app??
App fails to load way too often. You can open a listing and after the first two pictures it's blank, and scrolling down for more info is also blank.
Navigation is awkward and needs improvement. Inconvenient that it doesn't show the lot size in the headline and you have to click on the listing to see how large the property is. I attempted to change the "sort by" to show newest listing first and the app wouldn't save the change.
Frankly annoyed...I turn off the notifications because they just never stop, never. Then the annoying abundance of emails. The app freaks out sometimes and takes forever to load or dosen't at all so I uninstall and do it all over. That's annoying.😔Does have some really great houses available in areas that I'm looking for just everything else makes it hard to hang on to the app.
Every time I go to the feed to see the new listings the app runs a refresh and then it all goes under previous updates. It's extremely frustrating and it never did this before. If this gets fixed I'll change my rating.
The house images are no longer showing for the majority of new properties. I've updated the app, removed myself from the beta program, and still nothing after that. Making it frustrating to continue using this app.
This app is confusing to use, filters don't work at all. Put in 5 acres minimum and I still get bombarded with homes on a quarter acre. The "feed" is terrible, gives me homes that aren't even close to what I'm looking for. Hard pass on this app.
Images are no longer displaying at all for any properties listed after March 9th. App was updated March 7th and something appears to be broken. Samsung S20+. Wife is having the same problem with the older version of the app on an S21+.
App data refreshes when attempting to look at new listings in the sub menu and function becomes unusable. Going back to Zillow. Turns the app into a waste of time. See the same comment below on numerous occasions and still no fix.
Redfin's product manager has degraded this app by disallowing filters to autosave without creating an account. They disabled the autosave of map type so satellite has to be turned on every time. They added that ridiculous red banner across pics in portrait view blocking image. Please restore the autosave filter, map control, and get rid of that ridiculous big red banner blocking portrait views. Put the banner outside the pic frame.
This app was working perfectly until these last few weeks. Doesn't display the subject property area after I hit back and sometimes comps don't display at all after clicking search.
When you zoom my app shows prices for everything, for sale in or not, making it unusable in an dense urban area like NYC, Boston, SF, etc. I can't even imagine what would have driven that design decision. Especially when it has an option that should allow you to turn that off. For shopping one of these areas, find another app. That's easier and more efficient to use.
It's okay. Unfortunately when searching it brings more irrelevant properties and not what I'm looking for. More- so in notifications for saved searches, it gets even worse and you'll get all kind of information that you don't care about at all, so I stopped all notifications. One thing I must say about Redfin that they always reply when I write to them, something that you don't get from Zillow, plus their analysis is more credible for me.
