This app is developed with security and privacy in mind. Your texts only travel through the email gateway of your own, not through an intermediary server.
However, the catch is, you need to provide your own email gateway, be it a free GMail account or another SMTP/IMAP supporting account (Yahoo, Live, or your own server). We don't get to see your texts. In addition to that, replies work as long as your phone is up and connected to Internet. It means if your phone sleeps, your replies will be affected.

For example, it doesn't backup/copy your texts, it works on new messages as they arrive and doesn't deal with the old texts. It does require an Internet connection for forwarding texts and it uses your phone's messaging capabilities for replies, so you will be charged for your replies by your operator. And yes, it needs your phone to be ON!

No question at all that this is 5 stars. This app allows you a gateway to have texts sent on to your email (and even reply back to text from email.) I did a lot of research of similar apps and for this purpose, this is simply the best. Security has been taken into account. As well, it's not that difficult to get it working. It seems there are some similar apps with more features, but maybe that's why this just works. This is the first day, but i've sent and replied to a lot of tests and it's been fully reliable. This is great work. I would like to see this supported so that it continues to be updated.
Great service, hopefully it will be kept alive. There is gmail account auth failure now, when trying to use gmail account withing regular gmail auth you can give rights to replay me, but then the forwarded page at herokuapp with unique id gives Internal Server Error. Alternative method with gmail smtp always fails as well. It's working on my already authentificated old phone, but cannot setup a new phone.
I am using this app in my redmi note 4. It is forwarding only personal messages to a mail id but not forwarding other messages like., messages from banks, shopping sites, advertisements etc. This app was working perfectly with my old moto g turbo but now useless for me. Please solve this issue.
Keeps losing configuration, and no longer works in Nougat as the more aggressive battery saving keeps putting the service to sleep, even though battery optimization is turned off.. Basically does not work in Android 7 and above.
This app has always worked seemlessly for me, and is the only SMS-to-email app that hasn't generated loads of spam emails after using. This is an excellent app and s its good to see that the app will continue to be available even if there is no support.
Be aware! Google sent me a security check-up email warning that this app developer is 'Unverified', and it has untrusted access to my Gmail.
Sadly, this is not reliable. It does return error messages when it fails but doesn't give enough information for me to solve the problem(s) .
This app used to work but now it does not. Tried reinstalling and wasn't able to set things up again. Got error messages. I need a working replacement for this app.
I like what the app does, but for the last several months I have not been able to get it to save the settings. I have entered my email and account info several times and within days it stops working. Could use a fix, if there is one. Love it when it works
Awesome, wish it supported MMS so I can send/recieve group chat stuff, long messages, and pictures in my emails.
It doesn't forward the content of MMS messages. It often works great if the errors are cleared in and the phone is been used recently. Once The errors build up it stops working.
it worked great for a while, up until a recent change in how google allows it to connect. the app in it's current state does not work properly when attempting to connect your Gmail account for routing of text messages
Good and simple. Finally fond a working app on my motog5 plus. Works for both sms n calls.
App worked great for about a week. Now it's just full of errors and doesn't work anymore.
Worked until recent update. Now won't link Gmail account. Says the oauth has been deleted. No help to fix after I've given you my money for an app that's supposed to work
Recently stopped working. Removing and adding email address returns API error - 'deleted_client' - The OAuth client was deleted. Reinstalling does not help. Removing and re-adding Google account does not help either. Other complaints, app often needs to be started for it to start forwarding the messages.
I just installed it after paying for another app that didn't work. I'm happy. It actually works
The app is now not sending and is generating error messages. I think this is due to the latest update to my Oneplus 3T OS. I have tried to contact the developer but all the email addresses I've used bounce. Does anyone know how to obtain support? LEB

Reliable. Easy to configure. I do not carry my phone in office and get to know all the events in my phone.
Lots of errors and failures. Continue to be failures. Poor customer service. This seems to have completely stopped working. Anyone got any ideas on what is going on?
Does not work. Hard/confusing/impossible to "set up" after "install." As in, what do I need to do to "set it up" after I install it? Instructions? None that I can find. I need an app that also lets me forward old text messages to Gmail or convert them to word processing for archiving. This is not the deal.

good app works i get the emails but would be cool if over WhatsApp or facebook messanger but its not possible right

Works great as stated. No ads, it uses your own gateway so there is no way they can pull the plug on this service. Last app I bought had their own gateway and went belly up. I use Gmail to receive my text messages and used an old Yahoo account as my relay.
