Relish - Relationship Personal Trainer & Advice

The latest update is not good. There is a disorganized array of vaguely titled activities you can browse, which you have to click on just to know what they are about, and then they are auto-added to your to-do list with no way to remove them. You can't send lessons to your partner anymore, either. Also if you type a long response to an activity, the UI gets in the way of your text, so you have to write your response elsewhere and then cope/paste it.

While there are some positive aspects to this app (it triggers conversations in the relationship which may not otherwise occur), it is overly simplistic and lacks the substance required to address relationship challenges. Some of the quizzes are quite annoying and useless and feel repetitive. There is also no distinction between couples at different stages of life, e.g. we have two kids but at no point did the app ask about children. VERY expensive as far as apps go, but pretty good. Of course, it's cheaper than an actual therapist, but still... Mental/emotional help is really only available to people that can afford it, even digitally, and that sucks

This app is wonderful and super useful! I find the cost to be well worth as compared to paying for a couples counselor. It's a great option to have, and feels less intimidating that a traditional counselor. The only issue I have had is that my payments have been refunded randomly without me cancelling them. It's a little odd but hasn't hurt anything, just frustrating. But it's being resolved.

The app is pretty unreliable for such a high cost. When I signed up, it asked me what time I wanted to be prompted to interact with it. It has never once done that. When I completed a quiz, my wife got a message encouraging her to see what I wrote, but tapping the notification opened the app where it looked like I hadn't responded to the quiz yet. Today there's a banner encouraging me to update to the latest version, but it takes me to Google Play where no new version is available. Giving up.

Just signed up for the personal coaching and I am looking forward to that. My only concern is I can't find anyway to lock the app, so if someone were able to get into my phone they could see my personal discussions with my coach.

Very Cool App. It does cost money but I believe you can access certain features for free. Get a personalized coach you can get certain parts of your relationship you want to work on. Different, New, Unique, Many Features. Recommend. Pandemic stress started to take its toll on my relationship so I started looking for online therapy options. I would give it 5 stars if they removed the feature where it brings you away from your screen any time your partner sends you something. Also the feature where merely highlighting an answer to the quiz brings move you on to the next one. Both are maddening. Update: dropping it down to 1 star because getting taken away from a quiz then starting from the beginning because I received a message is still incredibly maddening.

Other than it costing to be able to do pretty much anything in the app, I loved it and before my trial ended. It was helping my life not be as stressful as it had been, considering the relationship issues my boyfriend and I had been going thru! Some people just don't have extra funds lying around to pay for an app! Wish I did cause I really enjoyed this app... Oh well maybe when the panademic is over, I will win the lottery and can afford to blow money on an app! But if you can... Buy it!!!

This is sad how the 99% of the app is locked if you don't upgrade your account. You get only 7 days trial? And then you have to pay +100€ at once (ok, for 6months) but still. Big NO

I opened this app and put in my details then there was a 7-day free trial period. I'm wary of being herded into a $99 for the half year subscription before I've even seen what the content is like. So I didn't press anything & I certainly did not confirm a subscription. My phone rang - when I returned to the app, no mention of the subscription again and I can't find anywhere I can see whether they have subscribed me without my confirmation or consent. For what it's worth, what I saw looked good.

Horrible and lies. I purchased the app and was getting lessons AND coaching for a fantastic price. Then suddenly im being told i have to pay an absurd amount extra for the services id already been receiving. They literally changed everything without informing anymore. I was told i could request and receive a refund but theyre just playing games and no one will fix the issue and actually give the refund.

You have to make an account and answer a bunch of questions before you can even get a glimpse of what the app is like, and only then once you jump through all those hoops does it tell you it's $100 for 6 months. In my experience apps that use this method are greedy and will charge you more for extra things later. Also, reading the unprofessional responses and non apologies to some of these reviews doesn't inspire confidence in the coaches abilities to navigate my relationship.

Couldn't even log in to the app because they didn't send me the verification e-mail. But it seems like i dodged a bullet after reading the reviews. Good thing they put in so many tedious steps and made it so damn difficult to get this far in to the sign-up, because it gives you plenty of opportunities to rethink using the app.

This is a great tool to help start conversations and see where you and your partner are both at with your connection. It feels a bit awkward at first if you have been struggling to communicate or have been frustrated with each other, but it gets easier as you go along and you start understanding and appreciating each other more.

After my husband of 17 years suddenly passed, I realized how toxic our marriage had been. I didn't want to repeat the same mistakes I'd made with him when I entered into a new relationship. This app has been very helpful to me and my boyfriend. Its helped me talk to him instead of yelling and has made an amazing difference. No relationship is perfect, but mine is pretty close to it.

They made a hard time for you when you want to cancel the subscription. They don't reply to emails. Waste of time and money.

relish is much more then a app. it's incredibly specific landing platform for everything and more a professional masters counselor provides. this not only has a catch and will hold up as a legal service in the eyes of the course I recommend to anyone starting with therapy or women like me in and out of therapy for years with no true today issues solving coping skills or examples. happy

Saving my relationship amazing. I would say over half of my friends are therapists. I looked into getting a therapist to help with my long-distance relationship. Although I still think that therapy is good this app does something that therapy can't. It educates each person in the relationships and makes them self-reliant and has them do the work that brings the relationship closer. I am really blown away by this app. The amount of work that must be put into the back end blows my mind.

App crashes when I try to start the quiz so I'm pretty much stuck. Other than that, the lessons are interesting and could possibly help your relationship.

I lost my family because of this app. The couches were rude, the plan kept changing, they tried to charge additional fees and told my ex partner that I needed to have sex with other people to be happy which was not what either of us wanted. The app and the coaches are toxic. Seem like a great option but was a mistake

Hi, hope you can help, I tried to cancel the app, however it does not appear in my account under subscriptions to cancel and now you have debited. Seems like a very helpful and successful outcome through this app but charging $99.00 every 6 months way too expensive for my opinion. Having relationship experts and coaches or whatnot that price is too steep. Especially since there isn't an option to pay monthly instead of every 6 months.... especially since my husband and i can just talk to my sister who's a licensed psychologist and damn good at her job. For absolutely free.

Looks like a great app. The evaluation test in itself gave me some insights. But when I completed it, that's when I found out it was only a 7-day free trial and I'd have to pony up $99.99 after that. A heads-up in the description would've been nice, I hate those kinds of surprises.

It is not personalized. You will get same set of lessons first regardless of where you relationship is, and then you are not allowed to pick your lessons. Your "personal coach" will choose new ones in 3 days after you've completed your first set like a good girl, even if their first lesson is completely useless. Lasting is TRULY the better app. They don't give me an absent coach who wants to dictate useless lessons. When I asked for lessons that would actually help, I was told to pay more.

This app will cause you more problems! They charged $99 without giving me a chance to select an affordable plan. I tried to cancel same day as charged. They do not want to take responsibility for the charge or pay my money back. Ironically, this has caused financial stress on my relationship. This is a scam to prey on the already vulnerable. Poor customer service is not worth anything I can read online for free. Buyer beware!

Trial period is too short to be able to know if worth paying for especially with limited lessons. Either have limited lessons for free for each week (1-2 are perfectly fine) or extend the trial period to 30 days with more access.

App costs $100 for 6 months! I can't afford that!

Totally useless. Just tons of tiny text. OK if you have extraodonary vision like squinting at your phone. No Web or desktop version either.

For many, this will be better than marriage counseling because you get private coaching on the things that you need to work on that will make your relationship better. Your spouse might not even understand the things about themselves that the app and coach related to you does. That almost never happens in marriage counseling.
