Update - Alarm in this App doesnt work on Android 12. I have Galaxy S22. I have enabled all reqd. permissions, removed from battery optimization etc. Tried everything but still no luck. All I hear is a notification sound, not alarm. Love it so far. I would give 5 stars if there was option to add a optional note to each reminder.
Love this is app, it's great for customizing alarms to specific times in a way that goes beyond the manufacturers' stock Android alarms, or Google Clock - much more flexibility and the ability to create repeat alarms at intervals of not only 1 week (can be set to number of minutes right through to yearly). The only major improvement I would love is the ability to set different alarm tones for each alarm... at the moment all alarms use the same one... thanks for the great app!
This is exactly why I hate updates. Now its not working and keeps stopping. Reminders not reminding! I will be deleting this app after I transfer my reminders to another app. Ridiculous! And in not contacting to developer as others already did with no resolutions.
Used to be my favorite todo app. The new version has caused me to lose all my reminders because the migration will not complete. I can't trust an app that will suddenly delete my information with no warning. I reached out to the developer via email and did not receive a response. Months later and still no response, and migration still doesn't work.
Not been getting reminder alarms in this app. OnePlus Nord 2 CE - Android 11. Have given ALL possible permissions. I don't want to have to switch to another app.. please tell me what to do!
Does what it says but has very annoying notifications, if I don't have a task set on a specific day I will get a notification telling me to set a task, there is no way to turn off exclusively that notification, as obviously I don't want all notifications for it turned off, please add a way to turn that one off
Notifications for repeated tasks do not appear. Notifications are not persistant (randomly disappear from notifications list) making me miss important stuff all the time, defeats the purpose of it being a reminder app
Worst app. It works sometimes, doesn't work most of the times. Worst app in terms of stability in the play store reminder app segment. Never use it, you are bound to lose reminders for sure.
Fairly good layout, and easy to set a reminder, but: 1. It doesn't notify you (which I thought was meant to be the main thing)!!! I set it on alarm mode and completely missed a meeting because it didn't go off 2. I'm not sure if this is just me, but it's extremely hard to get rid of tasks once they've been done. The tick button for done just doesn't seem to work and it obstinately stays there. I'm a teenager and generally good with tech, but I just can't make this app work for me. Wouldn't recommend unless you want excuses to miss important meetings.
I have been using the updated design for a bit, and I think it is also a bit of a step backwards in some respects. It looks nicer now, and the added features aren't intrusive for me. But the thing that is making it more annoying is that I can no longer "mark as done" from the notification in one click. It opens up a dialogue box at the bottom that forces me to "mark as done" twice. I also really don't like the gigantic ad that appears that I can't dismiss, and there is no ad-free version to buy.
The big issue with this app for me personally is the lack of cloud backup. Backups to the downloads folder are too risky, as you risk losing all of your data in the event of phone loss or memory card corruption. As well, some apps will delete the files in the downloads folder and the user risks deleting their backup file without being aware of it. Adding automatic scheduled cloud backup with the ability for the user to customize the backup schedule would make this a 5 star app. As well, a minor issue, but you cannot customize the notification sound (although you are able to choose your own alarm sound).
EDIT: Over a month later, still not getting a lot of my reminders. Dropping a star. I love this app for its ease of use, simplicity, layout, being able to customize frequency etc. But, it is frequently unreliable. My reminders are often not showing up. If I open the app, it might pop up then or automatically show overdue. Please fix! I really want to keep this app, but it needs to work properly. It has everything I'm looking for except reliability and consistency, kind of essential for this app.
One of the better reminder apps. It has a lot of features and controls. The problem is, they don't always work reliably. I use this for a repeating reminder during work hours. The app ignores the interval often, making it too frequent or lengthens the interval. Randomly, i get reminders coming up outside of the schedule, including waking me up in the middle of of the night.
If you've been migrated to this app, check your "notify in advance" settings. I just missed a dentist appointment because they didn't migrate. The upgrade is worse in pretty much every way, by the way. Everything is synced to the cloud, so when you enter a task you don't even see it in your list until after it's uploaded and downloaded again. The design is white on white with only a box shadow differentiating tasks.
I have been using this for years, lovely app that just works. Bug: repeating reminders (daily for example) do not show up in the overdue list or today list either. They instantly jump to upcoming, as if you have already clicked Done. The only place you can see them is in the phone's notifications bar. Which makes it a bit annoying, I have to be careful with the notification, otherwise I lose them.
A really poor upgrade from the previous Reminder Pro. A downgrade to be sure in many areas. Harder to use and more ads. I looked for a new solution that was similar to the old program and found Better Alarm. This seems to have all the functionality of the old app with an option to get rid of ads for a few dollars. I highly recommend this alternative for former users of Reminder Pro. Check it out. Good luck!
Used to be a clean app with one simple purpose, which is why I choose Reminder. New version comes with added functionality I don't need and a less user-friendly interface. Also contains quite obstrusive ad placement now. It's not bad for what it strives to be, but other apps can do the same things better, and since I don't need the funtionality bloat I'll be looking for a replacement app.
App looked really good, reminds me a bit of Trello, so after using it a bit I decided to buy the Pro version. Then the huge surprise: the Pro version is a completely independent app, none of my existing entries or settings were transferred. Now I have to use two apps until the reminders in the free version have all passed. This is unacceptable program design.
Used to be perfect, simple, no ads, then the unwanted update arrived. Large ad at the top, no one time purchase option to remove, only a subscription for £2 a month, ridiculously priced for the lackluster extra features you receive. Will be switching apps, shame, as the previous version was perfect. The new UI is more modern though, I can appreciate that aspect, but there was no fault with the old one.
Great reminder app. Reminders pop up on screen and wait for you to either mark as done or postpone, although after a while (with no response from user) it will automatically postpone the task. I wanted an app where the reminders wouldn't just disappear into the notification list after two seconds, and this one satisfies that need (set as alarm). I wish you could make one reminder vibrate only and another use sound, but the settings (sound, vibration, etc.) apply to all of the tasks. Great app
Given the name of the app, I was expecting the reminder to work flawlessly, but it doesn't. Sure, it shows a notification, and you can mark as done or postpone. But let's say you swipe it away by mistake (it should forbid this), the "other" notification happily reports "no tasks today" even though you still have one overdue task! I suppose something similar would happen if you restarted your phone, for example. Not reliable.
Great Application. The only problem is that in notification settings you can see all available sounds but it does not play it when you touch one just to see how it sounds. So you have to create a test alarm just to hear it. Unfortunately, as all such apps, it does not have an option to set a recurring alarm at the last day of each month. I bypassed this with setting a recurring alarm on the 1st day of each month with 24hrs advanced notification. Looks ugly but it works.
After the last update today, I can no longer open the app at all. An introductory logo appears and after few minutes the system reports that "the application is not responding". So all my reminders are lost! In addition, after the update that changed the complete app, I have a hard time navigating it, I can't even put a reminder to play my melody :-(
It's a bit buggy. When you postpone a task for an hour it postpones it to the next day for an hour. It also moved around a bunch of task postponing them for two months. It seems a bit unreliable. I switched to a different reminder app called "Tasks" that in addition to not having a many bugs has way more useful features and is still free.
I really really wanted this app to he perfect. And maybe there's a solution to this that I'm not aware of but I couldn't find anything. For reminders that are recurring, they don't move to the top as "Overdue". I can see them in my notification bar as a silent notification but not in the app. I REALLY need to be able to open the app and look at all of my overdue reminders.
It worked for me at first, and it was amazing! but I found that it has stopped notifying me when I set up reminder notifications for certain tasks. I feel like that's the whole point of this app. I have also found that when I did previously set up alarms for tasks instead of 'alerts', the alarm would never stop. No matter what you do, it never stops.
