RemoDB - MySQL, MsSQL and more

Good and bad. The product worked well and easy for the very few functions that I was interested in. I tested it on a phone I didn't care about (worried about bloat should I not like it). RemoDB touts a seven day free trial, but instead of waiting seven days to require the upgrade, we're forced to upgrade immediately - for doing so little as edit one field of one record only once! So I subscribed to do my test, expecting to be able to easily unsubscribe. The "unsubscribe" experience was so heinous that I abandoned this product - for four users. Google's instructions for unsubscribing are outdated and useless, leaving the customer with the burden of almost an hour of trial and error. To be fair, the unsubscribe saga was Google's fault. BUT RemoDB could have allowed use for seven days and THEN required the upgrade - as so many other (more customer sensitive) developers do. This would have gained four customers rather than get a mediocre review. Three dollars a year is not a big deal, but how many of these small bloodsuckers do I want to have hanging onto my account? And above all, the customer, the payer, should be respected - and not "leveraged".

The screen space is not managed properly. A lot of screen is cluttered with unnecessary stuff. It might be okay on tablet, but not a phone. It's worst when you are trying to write a query: on screen keyboard plus a bar with a connection and advertisement covers most of the query text area (leaving 3 lines..) so I am typing blind, hide keyboard, check for errors, show screen keyboard and repeat.

Best mobile-client, but I don't connection to MySQL-server with many (>50) databases :( Make the function, please, and I prolong subscription for one and more year :)

Works. Not super-feature-rich but then again it's more than enough for what you would realistically do on your phone. The ads are VERY obnoxious and way too many. Luckily the subscription is really really cheap.

This is the best client I've found. Easy to use and bookmark. Great tunneling support.

Seems like its a pretty nice app, but there's one problem with it: on the Play Store page here, you indicate/imply that it's a free MySQL client, when it in fact is subscription-based. The end user never learns this until they try to modify their SQL tables. So in a way, this is kind of click-bait-y. Uninstalled for that reason. For other Android users: Be aware that this IS NOT a free SQL client. If you want the complete app/experience, it's ~$3 per year (give or take).

Before you use this app, just be aware that you must agree to allow the app to run "auto generated queries" and to exempt them from data misuse. In other words if you use this app they have permission to steal your data in the background.

Pretty impressed so far. Testing using this on a Chromebook and love that I can run queries while not at my dev machine. Signed up for 7 day trial to test editing table. Ran into an issue where edited data wasn't saved. Waiting for response on that. Under $3.00 per year seems very reasonable for this. You can do queries for free, if you don't mind the obnoxious ads.

Nice app, though it'd be nice to see some kind of sorting functionality, and maybe a search function. The app should also definitely use backticks around table names for mySQL so it can open tables with special characters in the name right away. Looking at other reviews the problem with table value escaping has been solved, just the table names are left. For future updates viewing and editing triggers would also be desirable. UI is intuitive, and the premium is affordable.

I'm using a pro version of this app and I must say that it gets the basic work done well, though I would expect a little more from this app like scope to let us open multiple sessions of different database or tables at the same time and switching support between 2 such sessions, search textbox feature to search anything in the table etc etc basically things that are already there in workbench. These things will help make this app for developers 5 times useful than it already is. Overall good app

Works but is awkward to use. lost several queries accidentally (wasn't done so didn't hit save button). full screen ads are annoying. was willing to pay for pro version but not a subscription -- that is where you lost me as a customer.

I like this app. It reminds me of SQL Tool Pro, which is also great but no longer actively developed. Being able to test your connection first, and having ssh tunneling, are key features. I would get the full version, but I'd want to buy it, not get a subscription.

Very easy to set up and nice query saving/running conveniences

Amazing app! The only issue I have is editing records with uppercase column names doesn't work, you probably need to wrap the column names with double quotes. E.g. when trying to save field "oauthRefreshToken", I get this message: ERROR: column "oauthrefreshtoken' of relation "user" does not exist

Full screen video ads in a programmer utility. £2.75 a YEAR subscription to unlock, and can't edit anything without paying. Concerned that there are SQL injection vulnerability as others have said you can't edit a value with ' in it. Uninstalled quickly.

Pretty robust. Easy to connect to my postgresql db hosted by elephant SQL. Easy to make queries and save queries for future use. Really nice to know that if my boss needs any info while I'm on the go, I have instant access to our data from my phone/tablet. Also really awesome that I can export the results of queries and share those exports. Very nice app, best app I've paid for in a long time.

Very good application. The query screen needs a little bit of work, syntax highlighting would be especially welcome, but the output table is well rendered. I connected to MySql and PostgreSQL and both worked smoothly.

Great App, would give 5 stars but its really irritating when it loses the results of a query when changing apps or focus from the resilts screen. Please fix this.

Seems to be an intuitive app for DBA on vacation, but it's lack of utf-8 support makes it useless to me (I need to update my table with Japanese text). Unsubscribing.

Short of features that I'd like, but compared to what else is out on the market - very good ! Was easily able to manage simple tasks intuitively.

When the app isn't freezing as result of trying to spam ads every 2 seconds it's crashing the system from excessive ad spamming. Functionally unusable trash.

I love this app. Having quick access to my db on my phone is very useful. I mainly use it to export my db tables as json files. I connect via ssh and it works perfectly. I use it on a Samsung S10 and it displays well.

Nice interface but I couldn't get it to make simple edits on a MySQL database. "You have an error in your SQL syntax" just changing a date field.

Great app, I'm subscribed. 2 stars for now because you guys have yet to implement a much-needed scheduling feature so that people can set a particular saved query to run at regular intervals! it's a must have on a paid app like this!!

Doesn't go beyond "checking connection". Ni timeouts, no errors, nothing. And ads are very intrusive.

This is one of the best SQL Clients for Android that I've found. One thing missing is the ability to modify stored procedures. Exec sp_helptext displays, but it's in a grid.

Great app, nice UI! I've been trying to connect to my RDS MySQL database through TCP/IP over SSH, that seems not to be working. A fix would be appreciated. Thanks, great job!
