Remote Control For Sky UK

This is absolutely brilliant. It's exactly like my sky remote !! I can't believe this exists!! We lost our sky remote and kept having to get up and change the channel with the box buttons. Thankfully one of our more tech savvy friends said omg what are you doing that for, you can download one for free off the playstore... One or two ads occasionally to pay the developer for the app don't mind that at all and they're not so frequent that it's annoying. Love this!!

I've been having loads of trouble with my Sky remote and before spending £25 on a replacement I took a chance on this app. Glad I did (even upgraded to the add free version for 99p) Simple to set up and works seamlessly. Plus I have the advantage of always having my phone on me so I never misplace my remote anymore.

This is great as my actual remote broke. You don't even need to know the 4 digit tv model code to connect and it works exactly as your sky remote would work. Yeah there are advertisements but so what this still saves on the cost of buying a replacement remote. The only thing I can't do is adjust the volume but that's really not a problem. It gets 5 stars from me 👍

Ads seem to *always* pop up when winding forward (or back). Then accidentally click on ad trying to press play (as watching TV and not phone screen). Ad opens website in browser, have to flip back to app, close ad, then press play, by which time it's 5 min into next segment and have to then wind other way... Frustrating to the point rather get up and use buttons on sky box. I'm all for ads but ridiculous. Even without ads button hit boxes very poor. Not suitable as full time replacement.

Used this app as we linked 2 rooms to one box. It was great until it updated, like many others. But had enough of pressing buttons many times for 1 or no response, then a app pops up. Also didn't pay for no apps as others say it's a waste of money, and still get apps. I've given up, and got a bluetooth remote instead.

Brilliant,my magic eye on the bedroom TV stopped working,the picture and sound where fine but could no longer control it with the remote control.when I was googling the problem with it somebody recommended this app and it works perfect it's literally a sky remote on your screen.works so much better than the sky's own sky+ app remote function. The ads are few and far between too so they are no issue really.

Does the job, it's handy for when you lose the sky remote but can be annoying when you're looking through programs and an ad comes on the screen every 20 seconds so you spent half the time using the remote and half the time closing ads.

Good alternative of a remote, so many ads though! I have to close an ad probably every 20-30 seconds. Maybe fix that and then it will be better. But overall, it's a good app.

Wow I have been looking for this especially when it's one of those days when you have your phone in your hand multi remote capabilities with your phone. 10 out of 10 one of the best app I have seen. One thing I would like to suggest is to put in the MIC button so we can use voice commands also. Then I will give you an 11 out of 10. 😉 Absolutely brilliant genius. This app you should buy 1 euro ain't so bad for this genius. Great work. You could remove ads when you have made enough ¢₹₱¥₹$

nice app, connection to my sky box was so simple and there was no faffing about. too many ads for my liking but I would definitely recommend this for anyone whose remote is lost or broken... or on my case thrown in the in the toilet by the toddler 🤦‍♀️

It works a treat but I hate how the adds cut in while you are in the middle of doing something on the remote like using catch up or planner infact it's really annoying! And because of that you get 3 stars instead of 5 also the volume doesn't work. I have just uprated to 5 stars it's the only one that will work.

just what I need for when the remote has gone awol again. No more frustration and pulling the sitting room apart. Only quibble thst brings this down to 4 stars is that the volume control doesn't work on my particular model of Samsung tv, but I suspect that will come over time. Paid for the full AD free version too given how cheap it is,

So this is an update to previous review.. wth has been done to this app, was excellent, now ..RUBBISH! still works but the remote images have shrunk to the point of being almost unusable! Badly needs fixing ...end of! on top of Which, why having already paid for this, has it reverted to being an ad supported app! ace app works perfect, is there an option to remove ads, even if that's paid for?

This app us really good because on our remote the select button sometimes doesn't work so this is very helpful! 5 stars for me! Even though there are a few ads, it's fine since you can skip them in around 2-3 seconds. Great app which does the job nicely! 100 percent would recommend!!!!

This is a really good replacement for my missing Sky remote. I would've given it 5 stars, but occasionally it disconnects from the Sky box, and so I have to reconnect it. However its very simple to use. I love it.

Excellent. I cant get the volume up or down to work but as my wife has a habit of nicking the actual Sky controller and falling asleep with it in places I dare not goto ( ;) ) this app helps me to watch the programs I want..... Also, its great fun when shes watching her programs and I can change channel from a different room.... ...yes, I'm a bas#$@d :)

Great app. Can turn on the sky box that is in another room and use it like my normal remote. Make sure your device is connected to the same wifi as the tv/sky and it's really easy to set up.

Was in a panic as I'd lost my remote, really didn't think it would be that great. I was so wrong, its brilliant. Adverts a rather annoying, however I can live with it rather than having to get up to manually change the channel on the sky box

Works great Needed to control the sky from the dining room and the bluetooth remote didnt work through the wall this bridged the gap perfectly. The free app is annoying with pop up adds but i got the £1 a month one and its worth it.. better than spending 25 quid on a system on sensors.

If watching a few ads is the price to pay for this app then it's well worth it. If your Sky remote is broken, this app is just the trick. Easy to instal and use. No more switching channels from your box. One very happy customer.

Phone disconnects quite quickly from the sky box but then reconnects in around 1 seconds so just an annoyance, doesn't affect the use. Great app and saves me buying a new remote for the sky box!!

Brilliant app. works perfectly as long as you can find ip address of your box either by looking on service menu or in my case the suggested list came up with sky box labeled in the list. All the people complaining about adverts are just too mean to pay 99p for a great app.

Update: when you tap "find device manually" it doesn't. It eventually connects to previously found devices but it takes ages. Very frustrating to the point that you just give up knowing it will connect and the remote works ten minutes too late.

ADS! Start with the ads as between each function a full screen ad pops up. Ruins an app that actually now works well. Uninstalled.

Love this app as my remote's fast forward had died. There are adverts but they don't affect usage at all as it's only seconds and I can just close them. AND .....you can choose your remote! ❤

Very useful if your remote is broken, especially as this app doesn't need infra red, it can use wifi connection. Adverts popping up full screen while you fast forward is frustrating though.
