Remote Control For Vizio

This is hands down the absolute WORST Vizio remote app I have ever seen! I actually don't think it could be any worse than it already is. I may have actually got it connected to my TV ONE time, after that, never again. It was ALWAYS searching for a device, even when my last device used (which was the ONLY device used) was already listed! And Everytime I would click on the device that was lasted used (that was already listed), it would NEVER let me choose that one. I have no idea why. I gave up

The Remote itself is good but ads pop up at the worst time a lot. Like when your trying to type on the keyboard and it's time sensitive because your putting in usernames/passwords for apps and every third letter or so you put in an ad pops up. Then you have to get out each time and it makes it so time runs out before all the info is put in and you have to start over. Very frustrating! Also the app buttons at the top don't work.

Developer sent out a note on the app that he lowered the number of ads, but it seems he just lowered the number of button pushes between ads. The buttons on the top of the remote to access different streaming services through my tv don't work, they just take me to the streaming screen on the tv, not individual services. You can't long press to hold down a button, either. Honestly I'd pay for the app to get rid of ads but I'm not paying a subscription, and not while the top buttons don't work

Other then the adds, you can not turn the tv on with the app, you can't use the top buttons of the remote, and you have to continuously enter the pin for it to connect to the tv... other then that we haven't had any problems with the app. Works great once the pin is entered.

False advertisment. Saw the remote I was looking for in the pictures, we installed it and when we went into the app it didn't have the controller. The downside is when you select "my remote not available " it requests you to upload a photo of your remote, however, instead of allowing you to upload a picture from your gallery, it only allows you to take a picture. The main reason for needing to download the app is due to misplacing the remote. Not very useful.👎👎👎

It will *never* reconnect to any TV once it's been disconnected (once wifi has been turned off). I have to uninstall and download it again to get it to work, which I do every single time because it does work well when it's connected. Just don't ever turn your wifi off if you can help it.

The remote works well for one person to use the app as a remote control for a visio TV. Unfortunately it doesn't allow for multiple people to pair the app with one TV at once. The ads I've seen were a bit annoying but fairly dismissable. The app buttons also don't work, and the power button didn't work after unplugging and replugging my TV.

None of the remotes would work with our brand new 60in. Vizio 4K Ultra HDTV, which is frustrating because when picking your remote, the first or second remote listed is the EXACT same brand and style/model of ours. Neither Wifi/Cast or Infared settings will connect. other than that, however, the app is very simple to use and navigate and the UI runs very smoothly. I've a friend who uses this app and swears by it, however - as do many reviews here, so I'm gonna drop a 3. Just need updated codes!

Has a good variety of remotes, ones I recognize that should work, but I am unable to get the app to work. I am connected to wifi, the tv is connected via cable to the same modem, but the app won't connect even though it sees my TV. I have confirmed via the xfi app that the TV is connected to the wifi, but no luck.

So many ads...interferes with operation of the remote! Also has several different remotes. If you are like me and purchased a Visio and then had it update to a new remote it can be trial and error to the correctish remote. None work 100% on my television. Mediocre at best!

Works great for me. I have some slight problems with my sound control but I am using a sound bar, so that complicates things. I would prefer no ad interruptions when I'm trying to navigate the menu also.

My tv is on (but my amazon fire stick is working) but it wont pick up my tv when scanning. My remote quit and I am afraid if I turn tv off I will not be able to switch it back to my firestick. I tried putting new batteries but it is not working it was just fine yesterday. I do have a Vizio 42 inch tv and sent a photo of my remote. You have a similar remote on your app but mine has 3 short cut buttons for amazon. netflex and Iheart radio. How can I get it to pick up my internet mine is wired.

Terrible, this doesn't work and they try saying it's your device not having an IR blaster. well, mine does... the app just doesn't work. Dont waste your time with this. It shows my tv in the list but fails to connect everytime. To any of those wondering yes I'm on the correct network.

After trying so many other universal apps, that were nothing but ad serving apps... i typed in vizio remote.. and to my surprise, it actually worked.. through wi fi.. because other than that ur phone needs a ir sensor or whatever.. blaster.. with this app it found my tv through wifi and was able to control it with a remote exactly the same as the one thats gone missing lol.. thank you!

Worst app I've had the misfortune of using. Not only are there banner ads at the bottom, but pop ads after a few uses of the buttons, which sometimes work. Thank goodness I ordered 2 replacement remotes, I'll never use this (cr)app again. Oh, and $8 bucks to see no ads, a new remote cost $6.

With my Galaxy S5 I downloaded a vizio remote which has always worked. Now, with the S7, that option seems to be gone. I choose the one that matches the actual remote. make sure wifi is on. etc, etc. NOTHING!! What's up?? :(

I've had this app on 3 phones in 4 years. It worked great on my Galaxy s4 and s5. I just upgraded to an s8 Active, and the app no longer works on my phone. My TV is a 2011 model, but the remote app has worked on other phones. Sad I can no longer use the remote apps for my TV.

it controls my Vizio, but can't keep more than 1 TV. To add a second TV, I have to stop the app and completely delete all storage for the app, then do the same thing if I want to go back to the first TV.. Had I known this, I never would have purchased the app.

I couldn't find my remote. I had no idea why since the same control was the application's icon picture. Also whenever i try to connect my phone to my TV it keeps saying "failed to connect". Please fix this or i will not change my rating. Thank You.

App works well with hesitation but no doubt works If you loose your remote download this one until you're able to purchase a new one. The controls look the same as the real remote but work somewhat different mainly the input button it doesn't let you scroll through it it changes the input each time you press it I gave a 4 because of the drag between the remote and TV and because you have to learn 5he features on your own

Great app!!! This remote looks just like my original remote and does everything it does. I love the convenience of having a remote on my phone for the times when i can't find my original one. i haven't had not one problem with this app, it's great!!

I loved using this. Then it stopped responding to the commands to select channels, etc. It let me go to the menu and resetting the tv but nothing would work to watch anything. Not even the preset buttons like Netflix or Crackle. Must have been cuz I kept ignoring the pay $1 to stop the ads. Now I'm glad I didn't give them my payment information!

Good Vizio remote. One ad at startup then I dont have any problems until a let it sit a bit. I then may have to close app and reopen to get it to work. I like it better than the one I had before becuase its easier to use since it looks like the real remote.

Very simple yet effective app. It has numerous remote faces to allow you to choose the factory one that cane with your TV, or you can try another if you'd like. The only app that has truly worked like an actual remote.

I need a remote to turn my tv on but this app requires you to have the tv on in order to program it, therefore it's useless. Plus it doesn't have all vizio remotes. So downloading this app is nothing but a waste of people's time, how irritating!

After many different remote apps this one is almost PERFECT!!! I can't use the channel button to scan up or down have to do it by channel numbers. Can you guys fix that little inconvenience please?? I would definetly recommend it and give it 5 stars. Happy consumer..

I don't see why this app meds to be over 100 MB large. Apps if this nature shouldn't even be a whole 1 MB. But the one star is because it says it will remove ads for 2 hours if you watch an ad. I tried that and it didn't work. Still had ads. Lastly, if you want to remove ads forever, be prepared to pay and I mean pay.

Bogus. Can't even get past the stupid form you have to fill out. Even when you do that, it brings you back to same page, making you do it all over again. It is repetitive and useless. Gets you nowhere. May I ask why this No Button trend has become so popular? Why are remotes becoming a requirement to use flat screen TVs? Illogical to say the least.

I finally broke down and purchased the "No ads option." I put that in quotes, because I'm still receiving ads. Developer, are ads really removed? Yes, it's only, what, $0.99 but I could buy seeds for my garden, go on eBay, etc., but I would really liked this fixed, please.
