I downloaded a free version and was never asked to confirm a purchase but I was charged $10.99. I never would have downloaded the app that DOESNT EVEN WORK WITHOUT THE ORIGINAL REMOTE for any amount of money when I can order a functional replacement directly from Amazon for the same cost and less trouble.
Horrible. Ad pops up to buy premium version after every button click. I can understand ads but this is f'ed up. Why even have a free version if you are going to make it useless and force people to buy. Just list it as paid in the first place. This is a joke.
Worst remote app ever. I downloaded this because the batteries for my remote weren't working, and I cant even use he remote for this. Everytime I tap my FireTVs name, it keeps on showing the premium remote ad. I am deleting this app
Super laggy! No volume control or power control from phone not worth paying for roku has a free app that works perfectly. Super disappointed ☹️
It just doesn't do much. Not worth money. Continually disconnects and still have to use my regular remote.
Seems to have a few bugs that needs to be worked out. There's more then a few seconds delay time completing functions when using directional arrows and other imputs. Operational performance very, very slow. Hand held remote might be a better option and less costly.
I could not even try the app. It is so full of ads. The first thing it does is pull up a full screen shopping ad. It wont leave the ad, and you cant use the app with the ad full screen. Closing the ad does nothing, it takes you to the play store to install the shopping scam. These idiots need to be reported to google.
This doesn't help my situation I have no remote I can't allow on my TV when the remote doesn't work.
This app was originally free until I just updated it. Now I have to pay for it? Also, the whole reason I downloaded this app is because my children misplace the remote for their firestick but if I have to activate the debugging on the firestick with the remote everytime to allow it to connect, what's the point in having it? Once its connected, I shouldnt have to continuously have to reconnect it.
Easy setup, but what irritates me is that its so slow. My tv reacts so slow or way later! When I press the middle button, it doesn't even select anything or it doesn't work at all. So disappointed!! My nephew misplaced my remote so I had to rely on this, and this dont even work well!! Going to order a new remote and cancel this app!
Almost useless. I had this working for a minute. ADB Debugging is on, but it still thinks it's not and now won't connect. When it was working, the delay was 2 seconds per click. Meaning if I need to scroll down 15 items to find what I'm looking for, I wait 30 seconds to get there. Stick with the included Firestick remote. I paid money for this app and now regret.
Downloaded because I lost my remote. Wouldn't work without needing to use the remote to change the settings on the fire stick. Then, I found the remote! Followed the directions and it would not connect at all. Uninstalling and finding a better remote.
1 star. Would give zero if I could. Horrible and useless app Uninstalled this app just as fast as I installed it. This is app is not free. I'm not paying to use a remote monthly. Furthermore, it doesn't make sense that I have to change the settings on the fire stick to be able to use the remote. I don't have a remote that's why I need the app
This app stinks. Apparently you need your remote to change settings before you can connect to the Fire TV. I could not get it to work at all. Download the free Amazon version instead. This was a $15 waste of time and money. Lesson learned...
When I first installed it the app worked great then it started acting up, later I remembered that it had been connected to an extender right under the TV, I replaced the extender and made sure the Fire Stick and phone were connected to the extender, it works great as long as both the phone and Fire Stick are both connected.
Doesn't let you try the app before paying and I wasn't about to pay $7 a week for a remote that I can buy a replacement one off Amazon for @ $20 so I paid that the one time payment of $14 ad the app doesn't even connect to my fire tv or my other tv that has a fire stick. App isn't even worth 1 star let alone the $14, biggest rip off
The app can't connect well. When you forward a movie using this app, it gets disconnected after 2 seconds while fast forward is still on. It takes a minute to reconnect. Just watch it computer or cell phone.
If you had the remote to get to settings on your fire stick, you wouldnt need an app! As soon as you downliad this app, the first thing it tells you to do is go to settings on ur fire tv. How would you like me to achieve that goal? Uh, the remote? I wish i had the firestick remote and not an app thats supposed to act like the firestick remote then tells me to use the firestick remote. Can we say redundant?
Terrible app, it's not responsive at all. I had it on the same network as my fire cube. 1 to 2 second delay on the commands. After 10 minutes of use, I asked for a refund with Google assistant, luckily I got the refund. $ 2.49 is not going break the bank, but it's a matter of principle, I expect it to work.
Completely useless. My remote stopped working so I tried to use this app. BUT you can't use the app without using the remote to allow the fire stick to connect to the app. If my remote worked I wouldn't have needed this app in the first place!!!
The whole point of me downloading this app was to use because I don't have the original remote that came with the device...but this requires you too have the original remote to navigate in order to set up the app remote...what a waste of creating this app...don't bother downloading.
It causes my Access Wireless phone to restart often, and has difficulty connecting and maintaining connection. Often times I have to go into settings, I will select "fire tv remote", change the "vibration" setting, if it's on, I turn it off. Or the other way around. Then I arrow back to the connection screen. That setting change, is usually enough for the app to find my fire stick.
The whole point and even trying to use an app is because you can't find the remote but the only way to set up this app on your phone is to manually do it with the remote. Makes perfect sense
Not very happy with it. You can't just hook it up you got to have access to your fire stick remote. So if you lost your remote and you're trying to use it. Forget it. That's a pain trying to use it's not user-friendly. I hope they can fix it so I actually want to use this app
It doesn't turn my TV on or off. I have to manually control the volume. it's got a round circle that is your controller and it's sensitive when you were actually going to be going to the rights to a different selections it'll go ahead and select something for you then you have to back out and start over it's just a frustrating app and I hate it. I tried to get my money back but it's non refundable. Thats the only reason they're still in business. Customer satisfaction is not guaranteed!
