Remote for Philips TV
To use the remote control, you must have your mobile / tablet is on the same wifi network as your TV . Detection of your TV will automatically and according to the model of your TV, you have to accept the message that appears on your TV. As the application runs on your home network, it is not necessary to be near to the TV .

These televisions are trash. Always having connection problems, the app won't detect the TV, and customer service was trash. I've never experienced such terrible tech support. She offered absolutely no help, not even one attempt at troubleshooting, not one procedure, and basically said that without the remote, I'm stuck, since there's no way to switch from letters to numbers to input the wifi password, and the password unfortunately must contain numbers, otherwise I would have changed it.
My TV wasn't detected on the WiFi network shared by my phone and my TV automatically, so I had to enter my IP address manually. But that wasn't a problem, and the app popped right up and across the top of the graphic (of the remote) was the msg: [TV]Phil TV detected However, any button pressed on the remote returned the same error msg: Your TV was not detected. Your smart TV and your tablet/phone must be connected to the same WiFi network. 1 word description: FAIL
Absolutely useless. I checked my TVs wifi IP address and its connected as is my phone. The app won't find it on the network. So I manually type in the Tv IP. The TV name populates in the top of the app. But when I use any key on said app I get the same prompt that the phone and TV need to be on the same network. So how pray tell does this app know what to call my TV after I've connected it but it somehow still isnt on the same network??? Garbage app to just give you adds. Keep searching.
It was working perfectly until the last update but now it doesn't connect automatically on startup even if I manually set the IP. After every time I start the app I have to manually search and select the TV to make it work, even if the correct IP is set manually. It's ruined the app totally.
App wouldn't connect to my Philips smart TV no matter how many times I tried. reset the TV, reconnected to wifi multiple times and even put in the ip and it just says I have to be on the same network as my phone for my TV and I've reconnected my phone as well to the 1 wifi we have. not worth the trouble even installing.
i really was hoping this one (after having to uninstall 12 other apps) that this would work on my 10 yr old Phillips TV! Didn't happen... it keeps saying it can't find my tv on the same wi-fi network. My phone and everything else is all on the same network. Ugh
This app wasn't the most reliable when it was needed before the update. Now after the update, it's absolutely useless. It will not power on the television. It won't do much of anything except throw an ad in your face and quit. Awful.
yet another app that says its connected to the tv yet doesn't control anything, can't even turn the volume up and down. Wifi works fine on the tv and my phone so its the app.
To many ads. didn't work with my philips TV. When you close the ads, it closes the app. then you have to restart the app. PIA. uninstalled within 5 minutes
Got it working BUT not user friendly and doesn't really add anything to existing Philips TV remote. And constantly interrupts finger work by useless ads. Waste of Android memory, uninstalling.
Works perfectly! RECOMMENDED if you lost your remote or if you're remote is out of battery or broken.
Works well, but there's too much pressure with the ads! Now it'll function properly only after being exposed to an ad every single time you want to use it again.
Connects, and the TV responds, but none of the controls in the UI are correctly mapped to tv. So volume up is mapped to Netflix for example
Given a one because can not give ZERO. As with other Philips TV Remote apps TV is not found stating TV and phone must be on same network. Even though they are and verified in Router settings.
Smart TV button doesnt work, too many irritating ads after every 3-4 operations. The app can replace a remote control effectively.
Even after manually inputting my Phillips Smart TV IP Address, my TV is showing as being discovered; but the application still says my TV was not discovered. Bad App -- Don't waste your time.
The unexpected adds are destroying the entire experience. They pop up in every 30 sec. Come-on guy, do you really think someone will be influenced by them... No consumers will stop using the app instead... Like me 😉
Sometimes it can't find the TV. I have to Uninstall and reinstall which happens rather often. But when it connects it works perfectly.
Terrible. Won't connect to my TV even thought my phone and tv are on the same WiFi network, with the data for my phone shut off. Waste of time don't try it
Guys, it's just a TV remote APP why the hell are you flussing us with all those ads. Why even want some money to upgrade to pro? I do understand that £3 in nothing but I do not understand why all this just for a TV remote app. At the end we gonna use for your TV!
Second app I downloaded after breaking my remote,the first one couldn't find my TV. This is sooooo very easy to use. Highly recommend 👌🏽 churr haha
FYI anyone who has android tv u have to uninstall updates from the tv in the settings then apps then scroll till u see Android Remote System and uninstall updates and this remote will work if u don't have a remote connect a mouse and it will allow u to get there apps now is working great since I did the steps above thanks
Very annoying app!!! Click a few times on the remote and the the adds will pop-up and off you go on the browser.
Why has this app automatically subscribed me to mobiplanet. I've just lost € 7.50. And will continue doing so every week. It wont let me stop..I've just been ripped off! And the app doesn't work. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!
Well I've downloaded this first my Philips smart TV and it says that the device and the tv need to be on the same network??? Being that I only have one network it would be kind of hard for them not to be on the same network.
Piece oFgarbage. Says the TV is detected but if you touch any button it gives an error message saying the TV is not detected. Full of buggy ads. Why do companies even create this s---? Only creates bad feelings against Philips.
The remote app will not control my TV. It says it detects my tv but everytime i bush a button on the app ( any button) a pop up says that my tv is not detected.
I like the look. But it doesn't find my TV. Even when I enter it manually it didn't work. Both phone and TV are connected to the same network.
would have been really good except for too much ads... if it's just ads at the bottom, it would be tolerable... but full screen ads after every 2 or 3 clicks? That's really annoying - especially the ads that come with audio. Functionally, it's good, except it can't find the tv at times. No tv guide button, too. And, did I say full screen ads after every 2 or 3 button clicks?
