Remote For Roku - WiFi and IR

Great app for when you can't find your remote, which is 99% of the time in my case. The infra red function doesn't seem to work though and you must be connected to the same WiFi network as your smart TV. Its not the most intuitive and can be slow to respond to your input. Not bad though needs to improve

I'll give it 3 stars because the interface is nice and it does what it is supposed to do, but the ads pop up SO often and at the dumbest times. Like I'm advancing through the Roku menu and an ad will pop up, covering the arrow button. And if they were to offer maybe a $1 purchase to remove the ads, I probably wouldn't have uninstalled the app. But they want a $1 per month SUBSCRIPTION? It's idiotic. Do yourself a favor and just get Roku's app. Does the same without ads.

Does what its supposed to do, for the most part. But there are too many ads which take over the whole screen and lock out the controls. There are other equally good apps for this that dont have the constant intrusion of these ads. And so, for that reason, uninstalling.

I use this app ever night. I don't use the app so much as others may. I feel the adds aren't bad. I feel Roku should be paying these developers more. After a update for TV my remote stopped working. I believe this was a result of poor to no testing on update software on all models of TV's. The app works well. No problems.

The ads are insanely annoying. It's a free app so I'm OK with ads, but they pop up while you're trying to use the remote and you end up clicking the ad inadvertently and get stuck in mess you didn't expect all while trying to use a remote control. I'm sure the author benefits from these clicks so there's no incentive to remove this behavior. But it's insanely annoying and the reason I stopped using this ap. Awful.

I don't usually write reviews, but I'm very impressed with this app. It does what it says. Having signed up to Now TV for a month, I found that I'd lost my remote. Within 2 minutes, I'd downloaded this app and was watching a movie. Advertisements aren't overly annoying or too obtrusive. Top marks!

No problems here! Ive used this app for over 2 years now and love it. Any one with a roku tv can tell you that small remote will get lost or misplace. So having the app on your phone with easy access is prefect. The ads are there but hardly any.

The only app that actually works on Now TV. I Forgot my remote when taking now tv box on holiday with me so downloaded the official Roku remote app which was useless because it wouldn't let me use it until I connected WiFi. But how can I connect WiFi without a remote!? ANYWAY I downloaded this app instead and it worked straight away without having to need to set up WiFi on the now tv box beforehand. Great app :)

See, I'm a big stoopid dum dum with square brain, and I lose my remote regularly! I looked through every roku remote app, and allas, not a single one that worked. But I found this one, And finally, I could use my TV again! Reasonable amount of ads, and easy to use. Perfect.

I did not realize that you could use a keyboard in the app to type in information on the roku. So cool. It's really frustrating when you have to use the directional button on the remote and tap OK and it takes such a long time but with the app you can type it in on the keyboard and it only takes a few seconds. Love it!

We lost our remote which I knew was only temporary so I didn't want to pay ridiculous amounts for a roku remote app. I found this app, it's free and it worked with no issues! We've since found our remote (in the couch) but I'll definitely keep the app still!

Works great most if the time. I might also consider giving it 5 stars if the Volume buttons actually worked as well. I really never expected the volume to work with it, but when it made the claim and gave the drop down menu I was hopeful but it still is an impressive app.

It's a good app, this is definitely the best app, you don't have to pay for it either big email on it. It's definitely for you, thank you for making this never people who lose the remote. That's really small. You gonna 5/5

The only reason I'm giving it three stars is because my main thing is to turn the TV on and off it doesn't even turn it off you have to put it on a timer to turn it off and it has to be like 30 minutes and up well it counts by 30m so like 30,1hrto 1:30 2 hours yeah it's not the greatest but it's not the worst I would recommend it but if there's a better app I'd that actually would turn it on and off and just like this one just on and off I would go for that one instead but it's not a bad app

pretty basic like the old Roku remotes. but it gets the job done. haven't had any problems with it so far, it has ads but you can skip them!!! if you ain't looking for so the bells and whistles i highly recommend this one.

Ir won't work and it keeps asking me if my device is smart, which it is, except it's not connected to my wifi bc i need to type in the password with an IR remote. IR remote not working for me and when the app asks if its working and I say no, it tries to make me connect via wifi. Can't type in the password to be able to use the wifi remote so the whole app is useless to me

Works great for remote when you don't have one. Needs to have an Off_on button for TV and you can use volume controls, when you find them, but the page stays open and makes it hard to go back to controller. Great in a pinch!

Originally i gave this app 5 stars but just recently it is becoming such a pain with the remote control disappearing off the phone and won't come back. It doesn't matters how many times you close the app down and restart it! Its getting frustrating now.

Nice when I can use it, however all the ads drive me crazy. I don't think I should have to pay to have for an addless remote when I have a perfectly good remote. Unfortunately all of my HDMI ports are on the back of my TV and as I recently found out the TV interferes with the remote that came with my roku.

Great alternative if (when) the hardware remote dies. Some functions like volume don't work and it can be squirelly connecting to Wi-Fi. But it comes through at the end of the day.

The adds are strongly annoying. Pop up while you're touching the screen so it automatically goes to whatever you just clicked on. It's a bit much for sure. But it does work fortunately.

Uninstallimg.Really liked this app at first it was A LOT of ads but then the ads started popping up full screen and when using the remote it constantly causes you to click on the ad - opens up the page so you have to close it - go back to the remote and..too much hassle. Uninstalling

It works until u get out of the app and then it doesn't detect your TV anymore. I had to uninstall and reinstall every time I got out of the app to do something else on my phone. I'm just glad I found my TV's remote safe in a box of cheezitz

Controls the TV sums up what it's supposed to do. But all in all it works but the adds popping up right when your changing channels or volume cause you to go to 10 random add sites is trash. No one wants to deal with that noise

I like it most of the time, every once in a while the buttons act up and I have to delete and re-download. I really like that I can watch an add and not get an add for 2 hours....as long as you do not close the app.

I was thankful to find this app i have 2 roku sticks and why i dont know but both my remotes was stolen the only down fall is that my new one that is the stick that plugs in to the hdmi i cant use this app for cause i didnt even have the chance to set up the new device with not having cable tv and using the nieghbors wifi all i have is my roku sticks so this app is definitely a real good thing thank you!!!
