Remote for Samsung Smart TV WiFi Remote

This app is complete garbage. It will only connect after numerous attempts and many forced fullscreen ads. I will include I have a very common Samsung smart TV and my router is about 5 feet away in the same room. I could swear it would restart the whole connection process if I clicked X on any of the ads.The interface is poorly designed too. One would think with an entire smartphone screen it could fit all of the functionality of a tiny, minimalist remote. It fails at that, requiring to switch between multiple screen that come with MORE ADS! I was looking forward to a keyboard at least. Well that fails as well. It will not work on any application. I'm going to guess this was created as a shady way to advertise to people and not much else. Save yourself some time and avoid this one.

I downloaded this because my kids keep losing the tv remote. I connected it via wifi and everything is all good except that it doesnt do anything when you push the buttons. Nothing works intl the app and it takes exceptionally long to connect to the tv. It had prompted me 3 times in less than 5 minutes to reconnect my device. It's not worth it. Dont waste your time.

So let me get this clear -- a few years ago Samsung removed the IR blasters from their smartphones, making many of the remote control apps useless. But, we were told not to worry because when the phone and the TV were connected to the same internet network, we wouldn't notice the difference. EXCEPT that the instructions for this app say that because the TV set isn't connected to the internet until it's turned ON, this app can't be used to turn the set on. Please put the IR blasters back.

well since this is the only smart remote app for the Samsung that I could find. It's does a pretty GOOD job. sometimes it freezes or stops. But, it senses that it did and turns around and sends ya another PIN Code so, you won't lose ya program. So, all-n-all, I say it's a pretty decent app. Try it ya just might like it. I have really NO complaints. Besides the occasional freezing and stopping and having to re-enter the PIN. But, not to Bad. I'll give it a 3/4 thumbs up.

I lost my remote and downloaded this until I could replace it. It worked one time, then couldn't connect to my TV. Even if it had, I would have deleted it because it was annoying to get hit with ads every time I wanted to change the channel or app I was using on my TV

Worked GREAT, until it didn't. Download this to use with our Samsung TV so we could watch Disney+, and it was great. No issues whatsoever... until one day it just stopped connecting with the TV. No settings have been changed, I've uninstalled and reinstalled it several times. Super disappointing.

This seamed to be the only app that worked with my tv, but I am so disappointed with it. The app almost always freezes and doesnt work, and when it does work, it freezes 10-20 mins into the use. Often gets a glitch and the cursor gets stuck in one of the edges of the tv screen. Sometimes it takes over 15 tries to connect to tv with the PIN...

A lots of adds, too frequently. You change to another app, you got an ad, your smartphone turns the screen off, you got another ad, you leave the app open and your smartphone awake, you still got an ad. That's too much, it's terrible. The app works well enough but those excessive ads ruins the overall experience.

Just sent 18 codes in a row and didn't connect to the TV But normally it works on first try new review... I'm definitely deleting this app there is ad after ad (sometimes even the same ad multiple times in a row) and it gets in the way of the "4 digit code". This app used to be amazing but nowadays it's not worth my time not only have the ad's been multiplied but it doesn't seem to connect anymore regardless anymore anyways.

How very convenient that this app constantly requires you to reset your connection to your tv from 1 day to the next. Gotta make sure I'm fed those extra ads everyday. Like getting fed an ad everytime you unlock your phone into this app isn't enough. Look for alternatives. You waste too much of your life dealing with these ads just trying to turn it up. Edit: Look for the Smart View app on your galaxy phone. It's Samsung's official remote and no constant d*mn ads. Uninstalled after so long.

Can't seem to exit from touch pad screen. I have to terminate app and restart to get back to the main menu. Surely, there must be a similar way... Like perhaps, tapping back button twice? But that doesn't work from the touch pad screen.

I tried 5 other apps. 3 wouldn't connect to my network and the other 2 didn't recognize the TV. This is a Smart remote and connected immediately and i had full functionality! Now I don't care if I ever find the Samsung remote.

THE OTHER REMOTE?- NO THE ONLY REMOTE...since I have an old Samsung dmart TV and the remotes die sooner than TV, I HAD TO RESORT TO THIS APP. And seriously now everyone in family have this app to switch the TV inputs a d control volume and turn on power etc. Great alternative but since I have this remote app, no on have seen the original remote. Thanks team for bringing this app to us.

It was great to use this digital remote. It just needed the IP address of our TV and then it start working. The only thing I didn't like was that the power button does not work and it doesn't have a tool button. But it is a very great app specially when your remote is not working.

Was my favorite app because of the volume control in the notification bar drop down but that no longer works in Android 9, thats a deal breaker when its the main reason I wanted this app. Hasn't been updated for over a year and half.

Worked like a charm. I have been trying Samsung's app for a week now but it wouldn't detect the tv. Tried 2 other apps and they wouldn't work either. This was so smooth and quick. Loved it!

I mean, it works out of the box for me, no issues whatsoever, but an ad every time you try to use it after switching to a different app. Give it a symbolic price, people will pay for the convenience and remove all kinds of ads for a remote control.

First you can't turn on the TV with this remote and you need to be in the smarthub screen. second the only reason I download this remote is for the touchpad to use on the web browser but it doesn't work. The cursor just sits there and doesn't move

Doesn't even work. I got it because my children kept loosing the TV remote, and i was tired of replacing it. It didn't work with the big TV and now that my children have lost my little TV remote, I tried it again, and it still did not work. Would not even connect to the TV, and I have both my TV and phone connected on the same wifi network. Never connected. I just deleted it and gave up hopem..

Didn't give app a chance. It requires for the TV to already be turned on. I currently can't find my Samsung remote so this app doesn't work for me. Yes! I am currently too lazy to go manually turn it on. What you think this is pre-90s era. 😂 Will try again in the future. Only gave 2 stars due to it downloaded for my Samsung pro tablet 12".

Way too many ads. I can't stand apps that have ads on every step of using the app. I was trying to connect this to my TV and had to watch 10 ads as I went back and forth trying to connect.

when I got my note 9 I didn't think I needed the infrared anymore but turns out Its something I missed badly when i bought a TV without a remote but I managed to find this app out of many I tried, and this one works! it's the only way to use my TV other than walking to it like when I was a kid. love it and recomend it to anyone who's lost their remote. the ads are very sparse and don't interfere with use of the app. nothing but praise from me!

useless, can't turn it on with wifi and since my network card of the tv broke down and was forced to link it with the ethernet i can't use this app at all. how about not being a cheapskate and not neglect to add an IR blaster in the newer model phones.

This is great for if you lose your remote, or just like screens over remotes. Some advice if it doesn't work. Try checking if your device and TV are on the same WiFi connection.

App works with my UN40KU6300. Three stars because it works, it auto-detected my TV, and for clean interface. The amount of ADs makes the app too annoying to use. Not recommended.

Meh, the remote doesn't connect all of the time even when both connected to the same wifi. And you cannot turn the TV on with the remote. Other than that it works fairly well.

The app was working fine until recently. I have tries uninstalling the app and re-downloading it. It's not the TV and it's not my internet. Something is definitely wrong with this app.

I've tried this app several times already and have had no luck being able to connect. Tried removing the remote and readding several times to even changing the ip to 192.168.1.1 and still nothing. Using a Samsung s10
