Works well over wifi, and much better than dlna over 3G, 4G and reportedly edge. Can easily slide forward/backward all kinds of videos.
Specifically it is able to
- Browse and search the EPG Grid (*)

- Watch videos in various qualities (low up to HD (720P and 1080))
- Watch recorded tv up to HD (720P and 1080) quality

Needs version 0.98.6 or higher of the Remote Potato Server.3G, 4G or wifi is advised.
A player like diceplayer, vplayer, rockplayer lite, mx player or moboplayer (try with hard/soft decoding) is needed for video.
- Strongly adviced to NOT using any app while driving or during other dangerous activities.
- RMC streams media which can consume lots of bandwidth especially WHEN using high bitrates
- be sure you have a good data plan before you start using 3G and 4G connections to stream your video.
The full version (http://goo.gl/YeklZ) has added features, like live TV and download capability of videos and recorded TV.

does not display channel list after android 7 upgrade. EPG works it's the Browse channel list that doesn't display
Latest version just crashes on startup, making the app unusable.
Every feature has a cost. Charges for features that have been free for over a decade. Misleading practices = shady company
The App connects to my Chromecast successfully, but has yet to be able to stream anything to it. Contacted Dev days ago requesting advice, to no avail. Suspect this is DOA
App is hit and miss as to whether it will stream anything at all. The ads work 100% of the time. After the ad, the streaming works about 10%. Non-stop prompts asking if I want to submit the bug report. This has been going on for over a year. Running latest Android on clean Nexus 6.
Great app, however app continues to run in the background (using CPU) even after closing program via back button. Need to kill process and service in application manager otherwise it drains battery. Wish you could provide a proper exit function which would kill all services and processes.
Looks like design from 80s and impossible to use. Can't scroll unless you are in home network.
All I keep getting is a message saying sorry remote media centre has stopped working đŸ˜¬
Wanted it to watch recorded TV using Chromecast. Will play okay, but if you fast worward more than once it crashes. Also, even at highest quality, pixilation is introduced
Does not work unless waiting a minute every few seconds means it's working. Tried it on Nexus5/Lollipop with latest RP release.
RMC is awesome when it works. Some movies play while others dont or replay from the start after 20 secs. I'm running the latest Remote Potato too. Please fix.
Thought you could try live TV to see if you wanted to purchase it. Nope. ServerWMC and media browser is a better alternative, same functionality but thru any browser, including stock Android browser and works flawlessly. No need for an additional app. It's completely free and does live TV.
Wish there was a Windows version as well so I can stream live TV to other PC's as well
Installed chromecast in app purchase now on TV it just blinks a few times with the name and the app says loading. I goto any other app like plex and it's perfect. What's up?

LiveTV also requires RemotePotato 2.333 installed on remote server, which is only available from the developer website which is apparently not available to all parts of the world due to some host region blocking rules (New Zealand must be listed as a source of international terrorisim!?). I however sent a message to the email address listed here, and got a prompt reply from Stefan, who was very helpful - and we got things working in the end!

I used to like it but I am not using it anymore. Way too many ads even after you buy the chromecast feature you're spammed with ads.
Great when I travel and can watch TV from home. Some times freezes when insufficient bandwidth, but otherwise works ok.
Use MXPlayer with hardware acceleration turned on for Google Nexus 7 to solve video issues.
This is a superb application and I have been a supporter of RMC for some time now - however, having previously paid for this application, I am disappointed that it is now littered with ads and the only way I can change this is to pay again (albeit I could stream live tv to it - but I have installed this on my server as my htpc's would struggle with transcoding as well as their day jobs - furthermore I have a Broadway t2 network tuner which provides me with this functionality). Other than the ads - superb!
Gives you all the capability of the big cable companies at a much greater value.
Worked only during the first few minutes then crashed and won't run even after reboot. This happened for me on a version a year ago too... After changing the menu UI selection. Looks like this is a major bug that has been around a long time When it worked I was pretty happy with the functionality except for UI graphics need updating to get out of the 90s, especially the EPG. And there needs to be an option to remove unused menu items. I only want tv related items to show.
