RemoteControl for Winamp

I can lay on the couch with my headphones and have the long cable run to my headphone amp and remotely play and pause and change the song in the playlist with ease without touching the computer. Works great :) like others have said, it would be nice to have more functionality like being able to search the library instead of being bound to playlists, but it works well.

Not super smooth. But a great toy and a nice additional for my mediaplayer over that I already have for this purpose. Just what I need. On thing, the playlist sync does not work well. Wish could browse my library and playlists in my woman also.

It only lacks the ability to input address as an actual address, rather than just as numbers. Having that would be useful for people that have set up dynamic dns server for themselves, so that they can always be reached over the same address when not on the local network. In other words, this only works in LAN and I don't see a reason for such limitation.

Works perfectly on HTC ONE for controlling a playlist, queuing songs, volume, changing songs and stop & start playback. You just need to put the pc's up address in the app and you're gold. Would get 5 stars if you could switch between playlists

I love the fact that you don't have to install programs on the pc and to open additional programs, just copy the plugin in its folder and you are good to go. And another thing i appreciate is the fact that the app doesn't bug you to rate it. I normally don't leave reviews but i made an exception here for these reasons.

App won't allow me to select correct ip of server. My pc has multiple nics. Also cannot install winamp plugin on pc because I'm told my C++ version is newer and am exited with an error msg. No way to "downgrade" my C++ to satisfy the installer. Horrendous experience. 5min task became 30mins with all this nonsense and at the end of it all, still not working... :(

I used to love this app, but now with Android 7 the app no longer works. Playlist shows but none of the buttons work and just disconnects after a short period after connecting. App has been reinstalled and I have tested this on 3 computers and 2 different phones. Developer needs to get this fixed.

The best remote control for winamp. Period. It even works with Lollipop. I haven't had a single problem with this app. It is highly recommended to set a static IP address for your laptop and PC. Now if only the dev is reviving this project..... I would really love to see new interface or even new features. Thanks!

It takes a bit of know how to set up, you need to know your computer's IP address and may need to open a port on your firewall. But once you get it setup the controls are elegant and the response time is snappy. I agree with the other comments, it really does need the ability to acces the entire winamp library. When it gets that feature I'll come back and give it 5 stars.

Very good. But album info by long pressing song in remote playlist displays wrong info. When i edit winamp -> preferences -> titles to display album info in playlist, the remote playlist does not display it in the playlist although displays in desktop playlist. Sometimes numbers are not displayed while enquing songs in remote playlist. Mob: samsung galaxy s duos

It's such a great app it's indescribable. When I'm at the balcony relaxing, or studying in my room, for example, the ability to adjust volume and change songs is extremely beneficial and (was) needed. This app delivers fully and it really is an excellent one to say the least. There is no means to donate in the country I currently live in but I definitely would have if it were not the case. Again, my humblest thanks to the developer.

OK bare with me I'm typing on my phone. Users who are having issues wit the installation, just click cancel to continue the install. It said it needed a c++ file and I have the newest one. It does work, just use latest ver. It should work and install will finish. I use this for nights. It could do more but I will not complain.

Can only work with current playlist, not able to change playlists. Big limitation, many apps can play/pause/skip on any media player, this isn't any different other than being limited to Winamp only.

Works perfectly. Controlls my winamp easily, no problems. Only 2 things you might want to fix (not urgently) If you have a newer version of C++ it doesnt recognize it and tells you to install the older version. You can just proceed but you could update that. Other thing is, The IP was wrong the first time I started the app. Took 3 seconds to fix it especially because the plug in even showed my internal ip but for people who might not know this it would be easier to maybe write a little tutorial or so? Still 5 stars. Thanks!

Using Samsung Galaxy SII with CM9. Took 10 seconds to set up. Syncs perfectly and responds immediately, whether using the app or controlling winamp on my computer (Pause on computer immediately shows on phone, for instance) Never wrote a review or rated an app, but this just deserves it. Brilliant.

I've tried about a dozen different Winamp remotes looking for one that has solid functionality, simplicity of use, and this one is where it's at. This was my first one actually and then I decided to go experiment with others to see if I could find something better but I'm right back here and I don't think I'll be trying any other Winamp remotes for a long time. The app's appearance is extremely simple and doesn't look very high class but I assure you that this app provides the most solid functionality and reliability. It just works. And it works well might I add. Some of the other Winamp remotes might LOOK a little better but they all either have some annoying glitch somewhere or just don't have all the features that this app has. Download it -- you won't be disappointed.

Nice and practical. Easy to use and quite responsive. Pl upgrade the interface and look. Looks r dated, not upto mark with today's hidef smart phones and apps

I am sorry, because I think the app is well thought, but terribly programmed. I just experienced all possbile bugs, including frequent crashes of both my PC OS and android. I hope you can make it more stable for the next time.

There's something important missing: being able to type addresses rather than IPs for the server! If you have a dynamic IP which can be accessed via a DNS Server then you're out of luck and can't use this app unless you are at home. Too bad :(

Overall, everything works great with this app and setup was very, very easy. The only bug I noticed is that the pausing/resuming is kind of wonky when you get a call and go back to resume playing.

apparently there are tons of options for controlling winamp via android. this is awesome and works. I wish the whole theme was dark but im totally grateful. thnx

Too bad development is frozen. I've used it for years but it needs balance and EQ control and a better text display of what's playing. Add that to a paid version and I'd buy it. Lightweight and efficient. ...

Would like to see the option to add/remove items in the playlist. Also, when I queue files through the remote, 9 times out of 10, it doesn't work. Every once in a while it will queue the file(s), but most of the time, that function doesn't work.

Very nice to use. Would be better if you could queue more than one song without it crashing.

It is working fast and controls the winamp smoothly. Playlist is also available. A few bug, like when the play list is changed on the main app on my pc but not on this app in mobile. You need to reconnect to refresh the list.

Pretty average app. Can't browse my library, modify playlists, etc. Needs more than just a simple search feature.
