Rentals.ca :) Apartment Finder

Well the map feature is about the best part of this app...otherwise the filters are way too basic to make searching for the right fit an easy experience. You choose price range, bedrooms, bathrooms, and building type and that is all. If you have any special wants like a dishwasher, parking underground, pets, smoking, etc. Its a laborious crawl through each listing in your price range to see if its a fit.

This app is nice and all, could use more filters to differentiate between a basement suite vs full house vs main floor, but otherwise pretty good. This would honestly be four stars if this app wasn't about as responsive as a cat on opium. It takes forever to load anything, won't take any input until it has finished loading everything, I often just switch to a different rental app and hope that the property I wanted more info on is in there because trying to get more information is so arduous.

A little bit slow, a bit clunky and generally poor for finding what you want despite the nice clean layout of the app overall. Search criteria doesn't matter due to featured ads getting sprinkled in randomly so if you're looking for the most recent ads you'll get the same results if you were to hit "Random". Looking at an area and zoom in to get a better look? Units move around randomly. Randomly throws me into Toronto on occasion which is less than helpful.

It loads rental properties using your location by default. Whn I tried entering a particular city it won't let me type as if it's frozen. But I am able to move location in maps, soI did that and it took a good couple of minutes to load rentals of that location and again to open a rental and look for more info takes another couple of minutes. And to top it all the app won't minimize and phone stops working if tried force stopping the app from settings. PS:Using pixel 4 xl with high speed internet

Apartment buildings put ads on here for all their offerings combined into one ad (for cost, obviously) with ranges of rents and amenities so that when you search for specific criteria, all major apartment buildings come back even though any one specific unit in their building will not meet the filters desired. Kinda ridiculous. Each posting should be for a unit, not a collection of all units in a building. It made apartment hunting very frustrating.

Could be easily 5 stars IF the filters worked. If I search for 2 br condo, why would you also show me results for basement or shared rentals? Even more frustrating, why would a search for a 2br condo also show me all studio and 3br apartments available in the any buildings that fall within the specified price range?? It's like searching for asian restaurants and then receiving results for burger and pizza joints in the area.

Used to be a good app but the filters for unit type (house/condo/apartment/etc.) were broken in a recent update. It makes the app substantially less useful as you can't properly search for a rental that matches your criteria.

What's the point of having filters if you are still going to show me everything that I am not interested in? If I select a 2 bedroom condo, I don't want to see basement apartments, rooms, 1 bedroom + den. At this time, this app is pretty much useless. And on top of that, pictures are not loading.

App is slow, glitchy when trying to select a rental to view and always pans out of the map to a different province. If they fix the bugs it has a nice user interface and is easy to use.

Worst app I've used. It's incredibly slow (takes minutes to react to a click) and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Just says "an error occurred" as if I don't have an internet connection lol

App is unusable. Tried filtering for only apartments, not rooms, kept getting Private Rooms in results. Either the filters are not working, or the ads are miscategorized. But then, there is no way to report miscategorized ads either. So like I said, unusable.

It would get 5 stars if it weren't so slow! Also, I would like to see listings across larger areas like entire provinces and maybe even the whole country since work from home allows greater freedom of location.

Incredibly buggy app. Really frustrating to use. Freezes, search is useless (e.g sorting to "recent" doesn't sort results by most recent but instead in random order), really slow to load results.

Something happened to my comment that is not there anymore, anyway. Add a report option for false advertisement, also the filter when I select so that I don't get rooms I still get private rooms. Please fix both issues, thanks!

It's a bit frustrating and sloppy to use. • Trying to send mesage often marks as "error". No info on why. • Many outdated ads (long rented) create clutter. Would be great if ads auto-removed after availability date. Improvements that could save time: • Can't determine specific availability date. Terrible! • No keyword search (I can't specify patio, garden, walk-out). • Should not allow posts without an availability date. • Should let you mark-off units you already know you don't want.

Search results are pretty thin. You'd be better off using Kijiji, especially for more affordable rental prices. Very slow and sometimes unresponsive.

One big issue I have with this app is that you can't exclude specific information. For example, if I want a non-furnished appartment, I have to search manually through all the one that are furnished.

Great filter options. App seems to be loading fine with no glitches. Been very helpful!

Most frustrating app 2020 You can't insert your name in the name field in profile, you ask to disable a listing but then you get potential renters writing you then when you press on the Contact Us button nothing happens. Primal app

Unable to upload photos on Android. The link highlights when touched but is not active. Using an apple phone the link to add photos worked and sent me to albums to select a photo.

Love the No. of properties to view. Like the fact that the pictures are clear and focused.

does not work at all. freezes as soon as app starts. not able to click on any options. its like you are watching a picture. waste

Oh my, I can't use the search bar for some reason and it's constantly saying "an error has occurred". Very buggy and not worth keeping.

App need to be able to open to wider view. Not user friendly at all. Can't find any houses in the app as I need a home looking for home to move.

Nice app, easy to use, but unfortunately very unstable. Hangs all the time with error. Had to switch to the website.

Awful - same ads repeated for months on end. Filters not helpful. Minimal selection compared to other apps.

App won't open. Looks like its trying to load and then closes. I've restarted my phone and it continues to happen. Please fix.

im trying to find the cheapest stop with recommending stuff that says 0-2 bedroom give me a specific apartment that have 2 room no more no less and give me the cheapest. very specific. for some reason when I register the sort button does not work what the hell?. if you dont log in the button work wonders.
