I have tried 3 times to put my rent on autopay, but it does not work. I even got the email confirming I set it up, but I've had to do the payment directly each month to avoid a late charge. Update: It finally took my payment for March rent! I don't know why it took so long, and I plan to keep watching to make sure it works properly in the months ahead, but for now I have rated it four stars. I sure hope it keeps working! All my other bills are on auto pay, and it's reallly convenient.
I've been using this app for about 3 yrs now and it's, for the most part, stayed the same. There have been a few "under-the-hood" updates but on the user side there's been no improvement. The UI could you a complete makeover! At least to fall under Material Design guidelines!!! I would also like to see a "Payment History" feature added so users can look back on previous rent payments and be able to print something showing all relevant payment info. Maintenance requests could use an update too!!!
Completely useless, the app itself doesn't let me even sign in and the website has URL links that don't work that lead to a dead-end 404 error. RentCafe needs to fire whoever designed their entire infrastructure, website, software, and apps. I've made websites when I was in high school that work better than this.
this app to pay my apartment rent is very easy and easy to use on my phone and so convenient without going on to the main website on Google search and typing in the website , I'm so Glade they got a resident Portal app to pay your rent now, it makes life so easy at the top of your finger to open your app click pay what you want and have it done with. thank you rentcafe for making things so easy to pay the rent bills on phones.
Fairly easy to use and navigate. Only complaint is with the Autopay feature - I went through setting it up and thought everything was all set - but it didn't end up taking my rent out the following month. (totally possible that it was a user error, so no points deducted from overall ranking 😁)
When I open the app, there is no maintenance tab. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and have ensured it is up to date. I currently have no means of submitting maintenance requests. The only feature available to me is payment options, which is easily to navigate. But the inability to submit maintenance requests is very annoying.
Helpful app. Allows to pay bills, notify management on issues or questions. Report maintenance problems. I would simply improve the Bulletin Board for residents to leave messages. Seems very few messages are approved for posting. Gotta take the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly, man.
Tried to set up account & said one already exists with my email. Don't recall setting up account or password. I clicked on the forgot password option to reset the password using the email the account was under & never received an email. There is no customer service/tech support phone number or email.
Active building is so much better, this has almost no good features. Can't pay bills early, extremely confusing auto pay that doesn't always work, terrible community page where you can't upload photos or links. I might as well write checks
This the first time using the app. So far so good. It is annoying that it doesn't automatically switch to caps at start of sentence and screen touches do not always work. Had to hit the same option several times for it to register. All I did so far was request maintenance.
FAQ needs FAQ's Make a payment button is faded so I can't choose that as an option, only able to setup autopay. Payment options needs more details to interact with. At the screen that says to confirm autopay setup, there's a row that says "Max payment" $1 (optional). Don't know what it's for and I can't click it to see what it is and why it's there.
I can't even log onto this mess! 3 hours and i kept getting a message that says no network connecting when I'm on Wi-Fi!! Never had this issue with any other apps the search button doesn't work either wow so annoying
we have been here going on 3 yrs. and have had to. contact maintenance several times. we hate to bother them but they are great about responding quickly. I like the part where you enter whether it is priority, medium, or no hurry. anyway, they are great to respond when you need them right away. and they are very friendly when they come!
This app is very very bad! After taking up to eight (8) months to fix my email. Then when they finally fixed it they charge almost $30 just to use the app! Monthly $30 is ridiculous!!!
Placing a work/ maintainance order is impossible!! User defined fields are now required!! 1st what are we suppose to enter in all these field? 2nd filling these user defined fields with anything still doesn't work!! Reinstalled the app but same issues. App only good for now for paying rent!!
I had sent in an email and they fixed the bug. I am truly impressed that they took the time to respond to the emails and actually asked questions to get to the bottom of the problem and fixed it. Thank you very much.

I have a wonderful experience but just recently, the app disappeared from my phone and can not get it back. I download again and it will not open, why? Please help.
The app works BUT auto pay dose not consistently pull out the money on the 1st as requested. It's really weird because I have the money in my account and I am set up for auto pay so I don't know why it only works some months and not others.
this app is very simple and not over complicated, makes setting appointments for either maintenance or reservations fairly easy.
It is very convenient to upload pictures and complaints/suggestions at the same place because makes life easy for administration and us! i do love it!
This app is great for paying rent, sending work requests, communicating with property management, etc.! My apartment management requires a money order or some kind of account at Walmart, or this app. Since I am disabled, I usually can't get to Walmart or go for a money order. This app is convenient and easy to use!
Fix your payment system. I cannot pay my rent using my credit card or bank. If I want to use my card I get an error message saying the server is out, and when I went to link my bank, I never got the microtransactions so my identity was never verified. I can't even try to take my bank out the system because it's still trying to verify it. It's just a bit annoying that I have to go to walmart to pay my rent, when I could be paying it from home.
Using the Resident app makes paying rent fast and worry-free. Once payment method is set up just once, you're just a few clicks away from being assured that your rent is paid on time. This has GOT to be THE easiest way to pay rent EVER!
it's easy to pay the rent but when i put a maintenance order in, no one blinks an eye. I've had my kitchen light out for over a year now and not one person has come. Even when I call in the maintenance order. Maybe that part needs attention because everyone ignores it when they see the orders come in.
As long as you're using a checking account, payments have no additional fees. Debit cards will be charged convenience fee. This app displays all info needed to stay up to date and current on bills. I recommend using the app for my rental payments.
Can't delete bulletin post! Now I can't even log in! It doesn't do anything when I click the fingerprint, when I put in the correct password and submit, it just sits there, and when I try to sign in with phone verification, it just sits there after I type in the number sent to my phone. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, force stopped the app, and restarted my phone. Nothing is fixing this!
