Repost for Instagram

I'm not sure what's going on, but since the last update I've been having this periodic issue where clicking through to open Instagram with a repost only allows me to send the post as a message and not post it to my account. Kind of defeats the purpose of the app. Before this i loved Repost because it was the simplest and most reliable way to things. But if i can't recover the usability I've come to expect i have no choice but to go to a competing app.

This app worked pretty well with the exception of a few minor glitches from time to time...UNTIL recently! Now it only wants to send posts via DM which is pointless. Based on recent reviews...this has been an issue for several weeks and still no fix? Very disappointed. Really don't feel like finding another app to pay for when I already bought this one!

I had to uninstall this. It starts in background and stays on, waiting even when you aren't using Instagram. My phone was stuttering and slow. After testing and uninstalling every excess thing I could find (apps, photos), none if it worked to fix if... until I can removed this app. Phone is working fine again. Too bad, since it's obviously a recent update that caused this issue. But I certainly didn't want that constant push notification either.

About to uninstall! If a post has multiple pages to it, the app only copies the first page. That's super lame! It means you have to post each page separately?? How the app developers over looked something that is so common on Instagram is beyond me?? And I too have found the "paste" button in the caption box doesn't work. I'll give it a week maybe a little more to see if these issues are resolved, if not I'm uninstalling the app.

What happened? This app used to work great, exactly as advertised. I even paid for the version so I could repost without the tag on the bottom of the picture. Since the last update (I guess), whenever I try to repost something, it's only giving me the option to send it to one of the people I follow instead of being able to post directly to my feed. This is so frustrating to me, I've uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would fix it with no luck. Uninstalled until they fix the problem.

This app used to be absolutely amazing, but as of the last month or so I've noticed it stopped working. Instead of letting me repost things to my feed, it only lets me directly message it to specific people. Not the purpose of the app and not the way it used to work. I'm very disappointed and I've noticed several people have been having the same issue and have posted for months now. Fix the issue! Until then I have found a different app that'll do the exact same thing this app used to do.

This app did not work. Prior to downloading it, I was able to click on copy link. However, after I downloaded the app , there was no copy link option. I went to another device that didn't have the repost app and copy link was there. Furthermore, only the screen with the instructions was up. The app never moved to another page or screen.

20-Feb-21 Here to remove another star and try to determine why this app works so horribly now. Would welcome suggestions on a more reliable app. 01-Sep-19 I've used this app for a while and it typically works fairly well. However, for the past month or so I've been unable to repost images. The only option given is to send images via direct message. Is there a work around for this issue? Update: It appears the above problem has been fixed.

Been using paid up version from the apple store for years, but not without issue. Just moved over to android platform and downloaded it because for the most part, a great little app. Seemed to work great, so I paid up. $6.50 in my currency which is a lot for an app that so simple. Now that I've paid, I only got 1 repost in before it's glitched. I get an error every time I copy link. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled. No luck. My advice is to avoid this app. Expensive apps should work.

Awesome! Everything is fixed, app does what it's supposed to once again. Successfully able to share both pics & videos, although the video process is quite slow. Using the free version. Would consider getting the paid version if it improved this. There's not really anything extra offered in the pro version other than no ads & removing the watermark. For $5 bucks, would like to see other features added 🤷‍♂️

This app does not work at all. I honestly think it's a scam. There's nothing on Instagram about it. The directions they give you in this app are 4 steps and the 2nd one doesn't even exist. I have tried hundreds of posts and not 1 of them has ever had a copy URL option in the menu. I guarantee you this app is some kind of trick to get into our phones again and I think it's absolutely absurd that this app even exists.

Used to work well. I liked being able to credit the original poster without any effort and having the option to use all their text too. This helps me support other indie businesses in my area. Now it just won't copy, won't hold the copied link or won't post to my Instagram. Frustrating, cos this was the full package and the ads were bearable.

I've emailed the company with no response for a few days now. Initially the app was working fantastic, but lately for whatever reason all of the reposted content is very grainy vs the original and it makes the page look terrible. I would love to keep using this app but will have to wait for a fix. Hopefully I can get a response soon.

Is there any reason why the watermark needs to be THAT gigantic? Of course you realize that the mobile phone is inches from a persons' nose, right? You do realize we're not blind, right? Yes, I DO want the watermark on the repost but it needs to be proportional to the pic. In the meantime I'll be searching for a better app that allows better control of the watermark. Acknowledgement of the original poster is very important to me and so it HAS TO look elegant and stylish. NO to your gigantic blob

Just wanted to chime in like everyone else in that I'm having the same issue with Repost trying to go to my DM section instead of my newsfeed. I'm just getting around to making this review but it had been happening for months now. If you can fix this issue, then this app would get 5 stars instead of 1. Before this issue I loved this app, it worked great. Now it doesn't work and I'm disappointed that a fix hasn't been put in place.

App doesnt trim videos! you set it up and trim a video and it plays the trimed version before re-posting then you re-post and it hasnt trimed, very frustrating, would love a fix for this, please let me know to improve rating. 02.01.2020-Any feedback on this yet? Would love a fix on this. Uninstalling, still can't trim videos, and now the ads are too big for the screen so you can't exit because the ''x'' is below the screen I've been hitting the back key on my Android but today the ad is stuck.

Great when it works. I used to use it all the time but the past year when I try to use it it doesn't connect to Instagram to recognize when I've copied a link. I'm trying to repost now and it's just showing me all my previous posts. A week ago I could just refresh it and it would eventually show up after a few tries but this time it won't let me refresh. I checked if the app's up to date and it is. Guess it's time to download a different one

Bought the pro version, and it stopped working. doesn't let me post, only lets me send reposts as a message. this didn't happen until AFTER i bought the full version to remove the watermarks. way to treat paying customers. this has been a real problem, for me, as i used this app daily.

I was using the app before and posting stuff fine. So I decided to pay to remove the watermark, to basically allow my business Instagram to post stuff off my personal one without the watermark appearing on it. It now takes me to direct messages instead of allowing me to post it to the feed. Like others have said before this happened after the update. Not cool when I could have used one of the MANY other repost apps and paid them and gotten better results it seems.

No longer works. It went through a phase of requesting log in details (which it had never done before, in a year of use), now it won't progress past the page that shows you how to use it, or takes its time over a copied post and says it timed out... Uninstalling and reinstalling doesn't resolve the issue.

I am having a terrible experience with this app. For a long time have been using (and LOVING) especially for work related social media tasks. Completely does not work AT ALL anymore for the last week or so. Says "media content not found" and will not copy the reposts. Randomly worked three times yesterday for the first time in days and now will not work again. Exgremely aggravating and unreliable!

I have had this app for a long time, the paid version. It's always worked very well till recently. It doesn't always save what I want to repost and always get a battery use warning when I open the app and have to in to do a force stop. I definitely wouldn't recommend paying for this app till this is all fixed.

I had no issues with this app until it started pushing ads to my phone even when the app wasn't open. Ads started randomly popping up on my homescreen after I disabled push notifications from this app. Last time an ad showed up I checked to see what app it was associated with, and it was this one.

I've had this app for a while because I couldn't find another one that wouldn't give me the same issues... but now I'm just annoyed with it. it doesn't repost multiple image posts, ads everytime...but I guess that's the norm, now it won't even repost videos anymore. It just takes a screenshot of the video and reposts that. Not sure when that happened but it's silly so I'm uninstalling it.

Used to work amazing , used it to share artists work on my page with credit, even paid for the full version in case the credit covered a part of the art & I could still credit underneath. However today the app completely stopped working, even uninstalled and reinstalled. Now once I hit the "open in instagram" button doesn't open the photo in the new post section but to my messages to send it to my followers in chat. Tried everything, can't get it to work the way it used to.

Was great, until recently. Now none of the thumbnails of the images I had saved to repost will show up. The only way to see them is to open them on Instagram, which defeats the ability to save for later. So I lost alot of work saved, and the reason for the app🤷🏼‍♀️

As of June 2019 this app is broken with no explanation from their team. I originally gave it 5 stars. I chose Regrann .... it let's you post like Repost but it also has issues with multi photos. So everyone should keep trying other apps. Apparently Instagram made some system changes that only a few apps can keep up with. Maybe Repost will wake up in a month or two.

I paid for the upgraded version of this app (no repost banner on your image), originally it worked, but it hasn't worked for months now. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I've tried going through instagram, I've tried going through the app, nothing works. I would like a refund.

Having the same issue as many others. The app will not allow me to post directly to my feed like it used to. Instead it is bringing me to an option to send directly to individual contacts. This can be done in Instagram rendering the app useless at this time.
