Republic Telephony

I've been using republic wireless for almost 4 years now, and I'm very happy to have switched over. Not only and I saving money, I get great service. As with any carrier, there are some areas that service doesn't work as well. It's not bothersome for me. They have a pretty good tech support that has been useful with my needs. I will definitely stay with this company and I highly recommend them!

Coverage still iffy, pricing is now only competitive versus cheaper than all others... And phone selections remain a bit restrictive.. All of that having been said, i have continue to support and recommend the service to my clients. I he has lost approximately 35 people on board and will probably continue unless something significant happens from another provider that makes Republic no longer competitive.

Update bricked my 1.0 plan phone, MotoX, all it does it constantly reboot. I'm upgrading my phone to a Galaxy S10 and moving my service to Tello! Response: I was only using just over half memory, so much for your theory! Once the phone was no longer registered with Republic it returned to normal! Proof positive it was the update and the Republic apps communication with the service using the update, that temp. bricked my phon. I perceive from your response that your glad to get rid of a 1.0 user

terrible cell service, i have unlimited data and the speed is super slow and every day the service at my house is getting worse. still no excuse for sending a text and it not sending for until an hour later.

I've been a Republic subscriber for 5 years and even with the original phone. Service has been excellent for all 5 years The only issue was during the Kincade Fire last November, when the power was cut for 6 days. All datacom services went down, both internet and cell towers. Republic service came back up as soon as power was restored. Republic has been A++ for all 5 years.

Calls work 30% of the time. When they do, calls echo 90% of the time. WiFi Calling is a joke. Horrible phone service.

Cannot remove app from my phone and no help from republic wireless.

Clear sound, easy settings and reliable service via Sprint network.

Keeps saying the same update is available no matter how many times I update it. Been going on for days.

Not sure what this app is but I know I don't want to change my plan..This just keeps coming up and now downloading itself!!

Republic is the best. 4 years no problems. Lowest cost.

I have used republic now for two years and I love the price. 9 times out of 10 I am home so the WiFi feature is great. Anytime I have taken the time to open a ticket a resolution has always been found. I have found it's best to turn off WiFi when I go out so my phone doesn't get confused by all the WiFi signals while driving. Some internet carriers allow you to connect to their signals all over and that means you're password works all over. Just a small thing. But for the price I pay it's worth the trouble.

I've had the service for 4 years and everything has been great up until a few weeks ago when my phone stopped allowing me to make and receive calls on wifi. Any wifi. I'll get a notification of a missed call but that's it. Fix this and I'll go back up to 5 stars. Thank you

Been with Republic Wireless for over 4 years and love the service, have helped test new ideas by signing up for testing sent me badges to show what I did and how much I helped, they really love to make the customer#1 in all they do. Works great local area for me home,work, grocery store, favorite bar all saved Wi-Fi spots and when I need to travel buy some data for direction app and stops along the way with no Wi-Fi so I can play some games. Keep up the Awesome work Republic Wireless a customer for life.

I can only call over WiFi maybe 5% of the time. And it is always when I need to make important calls it never works. But of course works when it's spam calls calling me. I need to make a call right now and I can't over WiFi, so the reason for this review right now. Switching to total wireless soon!

Since upgrading Moto X 1st Gen to Lollipop have had many problems with delayed or not completed calls. Phone battery dies in 4 hours, and is very hot. What is running in the background to make this happen? Hope RW can get this is resolved soon. The 2 years of RW service before upgrade were good service.

Republic Wireless has been a good phone provider for my family and I. We are on a tight budget, and the service has never failed us. Although once in a while we do receive phone calls for other phone numbers. Republic Wireless is working with us on that.

I haven't had problems with this app. However, I would love to have the option of skipping messages instead of only deleting or saving them.

I've got to enter my password several times before I can hear voicemail messages. Operator keeps saying "that password is incorrect".

I have had Republic Wireless for 4 years and have to replace my phone every year due to numerous problems.

I have been with Republic for 3 years, and love it. The pricing and WiFi use is great. All of my friends that use it, also love it.

Can't make or receive calls all of a sudden. Uninstalling and restarting do nothing. Keeps saying "Unfortunately, Republic Telephony has stopped". Problem still persists.

I love Republic Wireless! I have been with them since 2013 while they were still in beta. I lived in a roaming area for a while, so didn't have data (but I expected that when I signed on), but I never had a problem with the voice. Now that I live in an in network area, everything works great and at half the cost of the major carriers! The only minor complaint that I might have is the handoff from wifi to cell or cell to wifi can sometimes be problematic. But I can live with that for the price.
