Rescan SD Card
If you are in trouble no see the audio/ images in the device, you can solve this problem by using this Rescan SD Card. This tool will trigger a scan for Sd Card manually.
How to use
- Select directory want to scan
- Press scan

PERFECT APP!!! Does exactly what's supposed to. By the way, the newer version blocks the upper Android notification bar with solid white and I can't see any of the icons (time, signal, battery, etc)..
My problem with my SD card was that it doesn't play some videos, mx player telling me can't play this file and I expected this app to have done something about it.... But it just scanned the whole internal storage and SD card storage and nothing else... Nothing changed!
One of the apps which are useless. So you scanned the gallery files, then what? I thought the app would show some missing files, but it does nothing after scanning.
This app is a total life saver. Due to my almost full storage, newer files I moved from my pc wouldn't show up in different apps. This app makes it appear.
Worked. After I couldn't see my SD card files from my PC (1) unplugged USB cable from phone (2) cleared data on system app External Storage (3) same for External Storage and then forced stop this app (4) restarted phone (5) rescanned SD card from top level directory (6) and back in business.
This solved the ongoing issue of my photos captured with my Samsung s9's camera not saving or showing up in the gallery. It restored the photos AND now I don't have to buy a whole new phone for a stupid reason.
Was slightly doubtful but it did exactly what it says on the tin. My sd based audio files are now showing up in my music player. Jobs a good'n :)
Works great but has a lot of annoying ads. Immediately picked up missing gallery images and videos.
I don't get it... it just scans the folders and it doesn't show anything in them. I'm trying to find images that I downloaded from my PC and this thing doesn't show anything it just scans...what good does that do me?????
Absolute garbage, it crashed within 2 seconds of opening the app for the first time as well as every subsequent attempt thereafter
Doesn't find SD card, I'm the unfortunate owner of a Vodafone N10 Smartphone, multiple issues and only a few months old, keeps forgetting my SD card is inserted, So you need to change the name of this App so not to give false hope to people like myself who just want to fix this issue

Perfect app for those whose images/sounds are not being shown in apps. It fixed my problem.

Worked for me, all pictures from the SD card are back to the gallery.

Ummm...WTH? This app only scanned my pic gallery. It did not recognize my sd card.
Doesnt work for Huawei P9. DCIM folder still mising when i want to transfer file to pc.

This is absolute rubbish it doesn't do what it's supposed to do . So I am now removing this nonsense from my device .

How do you select a file you want to scan? Does not allow that option.
This has to be the best. My gallery wasn't showing any photos or videos and any of my music weren't showing either. But after downloading amd activating this app everything showed up like magic. Definitely recommend it if you have the same issue. Works like a charm. Thanks so much!
