ReSound Control

Just got a resound hearing and wanted the app to control settings in my hearing aid only to find that I can't do that and you want me to buy an extra bit of tech to connect for phone calls. Very dissapointed that I can't do even the basic control settings. Needless to say, I WON'T be buying it, especially after reading the reviews on here, and I can't afford to buy it either.

Those of you having problems with this app might want to try the Smart 3D app from Resound instead. Both apps work fine with my Android phone (and tablet) but Smart 3D is far superior. It doesn't need the phone clip, has amazing flexibility to customize settings (the VA was even able to "turn on" additional settings for me) and it also works fine with the TV steamer. Check it out. If it doesn't work (better) for you, then you probably just need help getting this one set up correctly.

I have used this app for several years. This "updated" version is not worth the effort. It doesn't consistently ring through my heart aids when it's supposed to, nor does it even stay connected. And when I try to reconnect, it can't find both hearing aids! I've had it. There has to be something better out there. There USED to be, but some brainiac decided it needed upgrading. Don't bother contacting me again. You have lost me as a user.

Cant access all features. Even using the belt clip I am unable to control the equalizer (frequency control) of the phone. Was told I could do it with my phone. I have never seen this program update! Very disappointed! Unfortunately I have to wait another 3 years before VA will give me a new pair. Won't be ReSound next time!

Failing to show both aids linked. Using The Multi Mic and other kit both hearing aids are linked to devices, however the app only shows 1 aid linked, I can reset the links but will only show either the left or right aid as oinked but not both. Can full control using the devices themselves but preferred the ease of the app for adjusting bluetooth volume levels or setting single aid to specific config which can no longer be done. Also I can no longer stream from mobile to phone clip

BUYER BEWARE! ReSound Hearing Aids are extremely expensive and advertised with smart phone compatibility. This is a lie (well they do link up to SOME iPhones and Samsung Galaxys) everyone else is just out of luck. So here's a resolution offered by ReSound, buy another devise; a Phone Clip+! (Another $275+) What is a phone clip and why do I need to buy something else to make hearing aids YOU advertised as being smart phone compatible work? Why was this item not included when I was spending thousands of dollars? With ReSound's incredibly short list of "compatible" smart phones, would this clip even work on my hearing aids and cell phone? Only one way to find out.... Spend hundred of dollars and hope for the best.

Writing this on behalf of someone else who had ReSound hearing aids on trial. The app worked for a while then would not pair up. This was to stream audio from phone to devices. The clip thing works though. Now the rub with this is this, the bluetooth protocols are there (see google dev pages) ASHA is the protocol for direct streaming like iOS has. ReSound just need to implement it. Dont blame android for slowness in software provision. Maybe ReSound want customers to buy full kit for hearing aids. Think twice before dumping £,€and$ into the till for the clip.

I haven't been able to use these hearing aids with any non iPos since the VHA "gave" or issued me these hearing aids a little over four years ago. They told me how wonderful they work with Apple iPhones. They knew I hadn't used an iPhone for years so ordered another HW interface device to connect Pixel (nexus 6p then several new google android stock mobiles since). Yup, gov spent $$$ on hearing aids

I have it figured out. The professionals set my phone up with the ap and it worked great. Some where I lost the ap and all the ones aI can get pn google are not the same asI had. So if there is a compatible issue I have about $4,000.00 of hearing aids that are not compatible. Why doesnt the comp develop a path or what ever to make compaible with the android. I dont want to get another phone just so it can be compatible.so you give me a useless email address as well.

This app is supposed to link up with my Resound phone clip and my Resound hearing aid. It has always been hit or miss but for the last few months, it has not connected at all. Very disappointing. The 3D version does nothing but throw my entire system into chaos.

like everyone else with this issue, I have to purchase a phone clip to make this work with my Android phone, eventhough it works for iPhones. the question is why? if this is not the app, fine. why can't you make an app for the Android that does work without the phone clip? that's just one more thing to buy, one more thing to charge, one more thing to keep up with.

Had to factory reset note 4, now app doesn't work, requires a clip? OK I checked with the audiologist. She said I need smart 3d. Only that one now says it isn't compatible with my note 4 even though it worked until about 3 weeks ago when I had to factory reset my phone. Edit 4/28/20: thank you, at least I'm not going crazy. If I buy a note 8 will I have streaming over Bluetooth with my current hearing aids from Costco? Or must they be upgraded too? Previa. Edit 042820: returning hearing aids.

Perfect for hearing with but not talking on. I am able to hear on the phone really well with these but people has a hard time understanding me when i use this bluetooth. Also sometimes the app wont connect even tho it it paired up correctly.

Very disappointing. Primarily made to be used with an iPhone and very clunky for Android. Was NOT told about this prior to purchase nor was I told about the required Phone Clip+ requirement. My previous aid had all this software built in and cost almost half of what this one costs. Returning it next week.

Using the phone clip is a step backwards for me, in my previous phone interface the device was passive, the phone clip has about an second delay when I am answering the phone and my selective ringtones do not get passed onto my hearing aids so I have to look at my phone before answering, so much for handsfree

Can't access my music etc, through my Android phone. I think that after paying 3000 euros for 2 hearing aids with bluetooth, they SHOULD be all singing, all dancing. Am I wrong? Certainly not impressed at the moment!!! I don't think it is this app that I need, But I need something that works!! Thanks

finding it difficult to keep the volume control and programme screen available for use the screen appears when first connected then disappears. I'm using the app on a S10+ and along side the phone clip. any ideas how to improve.

I have had the belt clip for three years now. I absolutely love it. Phone calls are crystal clear. Recently I got the device for the TV. I can now hear the TV programs crystal clear. I don't like having to change from one device to the other one on my phone.

This app can't find my hearing aids most of the time, even with fresh batteries. I have to uninstall and install the app again, but even then it only works half the time. It makes me wonder just how great these hearing aids are and if they are worth the price I paid.

Not functional for those who have the older Linux series hearing aids and have newer Android 11 or those higher than Android 7 phones. Really pour on the part of ReSound and the software developers not to accommodate customers who have the older model hearing aids and do not require newer model hearing aids. Shame, Shame. This type of company attitude is why current customers will search out those who give better support.

I am unable to get the app to fully installed on my Samsung tablet. It works fine on my Samsung phone. The setup on the tablet refers to a `phone clip`, that I don't have. I have used the app on my phone for more than 2 years

Expensive aides advertised as smart and android. Well only with a very limited number of phones and older models. Paid a fortunes and two years later no phone app functionality. Will never buy again. Twitter customer services are also uncaring and don't care. Beware.

Having been told my moto g5 is not compatible with the 3D app advice to download the control app and use the phone clip. Nope doesn't work either had to download to my tablet to get basic control and purchase a new phone. Will the new moto g8 work? You say it's compatible well sorry it simply won't connect, Can you answer my questions 1will the moto G8 work,(which I have now ordered) 2 why did the moto G5 work abroad but not in the UK 3 I have emailed support without reply.

Doesn't always sound for notifications or the Bixby app for Samsung. It needs better updates. Notifications will come on my phone but I won't know it if I don't look at my phone.

Since I'm a Medicaid patient we were duked into the device and the only device I could get, but guess what it's not compatible with my LG stylus 4 nor since I see one that's compatible but I am stuck with this hearing aid 7 years and I can even be eligible for a new set of hearing aids because I have to stick with these they're not rechargeable the batteries only stay charged for at least 3 days when not in use bummer. I am very disappointed in this product.

Now getting the message "this app was developed for an older version of Android". Come on, keep up! Running Android version 9.1 and the latest version of your app.

needing to connect to Android? this not the app that works. it just wants you to buy accessories. ( I received a reply from ReSound suggesting I need a phone clip to connect to my phone but the app does connect to my Ipad and connects to an IPhone, so why not android?)
