March 2019 update struggles to pair with aid first time. Read reviews and you'll know you're not alone if you're struggling. Hold aid close to phone. After the initial pairing, no issues for me. New look but don't see anything new that made it worth losing settings from past version. Also, I don't see an explanation anywhere as to why bass and treble boost move in tandem even though they appear to be separate settings (and the old app allowed separate adjustment). I too would roll back a version.
This app is so exasperating. it is constantly dropping the connection to my hearing aids. I spent an hour on the phone with Resound trying to get these issues resolved without any success. I have a Samsung S9+ (that I got last March) and have waited patiently for over a year for Resound to come out with an app that I can use with it, so this is very disappointing. I even resorted to carrying my old S7 around with me because the app for that works just fine but who wants to carry around 2 phones?
I'm really getting frustrated by the problems I'm having with this. First it was with the favorites. The mods made for the favorite are then imposed back to the basis mode. Now it keeps losing connection to one or the other of my hearing aids. Just now, as many times before, I reinstalled the app, connected with no problems, set up a favorite for my headphones, and brought up my radio app. Surprise, Smart lost contact with my left hearing aid.
old app used to work. new app no longer links to the enzo 2 and has significantly degraded the usefulness of the hearing aid that I had been able to adjust. I think they just want you to buy the clip+, another $250 . I have contacted the manufacturer without success. after the upgrade , I unpaired and repaired multiple times. no luck. I t just doesn't work.
I have the galaxy s8, took a while for Resound and Samsung to work out connectivity between the app and the hearing aids. Once the app included S8s, everything was fine. Unfortunately, for the past few weeks, I can't get the app to sync with my hearing aids. I can pair them, but somehow beyond that, the app can't get data info from the aids to be able to use the app. My audiologist can't understand why this happened. I know that I need to get on the phone with Resound to work it out .
I had the same issue as others describe where the app connected to only the left hearing aid. I experimented by shutting off the left hearing aid (open the battery door) and then running the search. It finally found the right side. Then it asked to run search again the find the left side. I closed the battery door for the left and re-ran the search and it then found both hearing aids. Problem solved... app works fine now.
all of a sudden stopped working with latest version. I am running Android 9.0 on a Samsung note 9. it was working after my system android upgrade. but has stopped and goes into demo mode now after the app update. **Edit. Dropping the previous 3 stars to 1. This update is not at all a very good layout or functional user improvement. the previous look and layout was much easier to navigate between different programs and then their volumes and features. The app going into demo mode was fixable
I am using this app on a Samsung S8 and it pairs well with my Linx2 hearing aids. But the "About the App" says its functionality is supposed to provide "notification of battery and connection status." I cannot find where it provides any clue about the battery status. Anyone else find this? I don't dare wish for streaming audio if this basic feature is missing.
Was working great, then the update came along, non functional!. I can get the right one to pair, nothing else. Uninstalled, installed several times, cannot get to work. Have Samsung s20, linx2 hearing aids. In response to your answer, I have deleted and reinstalled a dozen times, even trying different apps of yours, no luck, will NOT work. Best I can do is get one to work.
This app does what it's supposed to do which is clarify the hearing in different situations. It paired with my Samsung S10+. They need to be in very close proximity to pair. My beef... With all the technology now, why would my 2 year old hearing aid not be compatible while listening to music, phone calls or any other listening coming from my phone? I need to buy an expensive phone-clip from them I'm told by Resound! BT worked with my iPhone and No clip needed!! hummmm Samsung/Resound come on! =(
Does not recognize right hearing aid, initially. I tried opening and shutting the battery tray on one, then both, then alternated the opening & shutting until I finally decided to leave them both sitting on my phone while I went about my business. When I came back about 20mins later, they were both connected, until I picked up my right one. It kept disconnecting & eventually reconnecting a few times until it decided to remain connected. We'll see how tomorrow goes.
I wear Enzo2 and have a Samsung S8+. I gave this app three stars because it gives mininum functions like adjusting volume, bass/ treble and channels. I wish it would support mp3 player and phone communication. I do suggest resound engineering to please make changes to the firmware to split bass/treble control for each aid not both at the same time.
No longer connects to my hearing aids. Just keeps searching even though my Bluetooth recognizes the device.
I had this app on my old iPhone and liked it. I recently switched to an android and didn't think it would work on my new Samsung. I'm pleasantly surprised and glad to have it back up and working again. Thanx! Is there any way you could put equalizer controls that adjust several sound levels instead of just 1 bass and 1 treble? Just a thought.
Will not connect...first, after roughly a minute, it says hearing aids found ...then in another minute of watching the timer spin it says that my hearing aids will not work with this software and sends me to an "older" version??? When the "older" version finds them...that infernal timer spinning goes for...well it never stops! Looks like it would be a terrific app...if it worked !
App for LiNX2 downloads and installs. Pairing is supposed to be included with this process. Hearing aids are not paired, status shows no connection. A Coonectivity menu is supposed to be at Main screen at bottom but is not there. Although app shows options and allows input at various menus, nothing is communicated to hearing aids which do not respond or change according to input. Resound updated the Smart App but failed in making update work properly.
Every product can have a problem - the measure of a company is how they respond. I noted a problem earlier - since then the team in ReSound have been excellent and attentive. They stayed with me and helped until a solution was found - was down to my Bluetooth connection. Great product, great app and great support. Recommended.
Phone Clip+ is no longer necessary to change programs or volume and now supports bass and treble. But still need clip for streaming audio from Android Phone. I Noticed a lot of people having issues with connecting, I had issues but I unpaired the clip and both pairs then paired both hearing aids. then start the app. then turn off demo mode and open and close the battery on Hearing aids. It took a few time but it paired. then I paired my phone clip for streaming
I have a Galaxy S8+. I am not going to upgrade until there are better recent reviews or there is an option to roll it back to the previous version if it doesn't work right. (Update) I have installed app and it is working just fine on my Galaxy 8+. I do like the new design and layout.
Updated: after searching around various forums i managed to get connectivity and app now works. Needed GPS turned on and Enzo2s actually sitting on phone. Took 2 mins for Bluetooth to find and pair. So wait a while. Original text: Terrible, Won't connect after app updated. Previous version worked fine. New update and it will no longer connect or see my Enzo2 aids. My audiologist checked software version on aids and they are at latest level. He couldn't get them to connect either......
l recently upgraded my phone from a Samsung Galaxy S5 to a S8. I was upset to discover that the S8 is not supported by this app _ though the S7 and S9 are both supported. Go figure. This is just poor support. Despite the comment below the S8 is not listed as supported devices on the Resound website. The app takes several attempts for hearing aids to pair. When they did pair with my phone, the app appeared to work ok until I the stopped and restarted it, the aids would not then connect.
Finally got my hearing aids to connect with the app. Literally take off your hearing aids and rest it on the phone for it to pair up. So as you reboot the aids, place it on the phone, then it should pair up.( My hearing aids were already connected to my phone through bluetooth before I started pairing with the app.) Hopefully this will work for other frustrated hearing aid users. Resound, this pairing should be easier like before. Just saying...... An EQ would be nice to fine tune things more
App connects to Android phone, and I can adjust as needed. App doesn't allow phone conversations through hearing aids or play sound during videos or YouTube. Very limited. Also, the app needs to reconnect to the heating aids, every time I use it.
App just updated and now my hearing aids will not connect! And I can't roll back the ap version! EDIT: Read through the GN replies to recent update comments and deleted the paired hearing aids from my Bluetooth list. That worked. GN, if this is a known issue (and it's a BIG one!) why would you not include this as the *very first* step in the pairing process?!?!
After app auto updated on 12 Mar 2019, unable to use the app. App asked to connect to ear aid but just cant connect. Alternative exit demo. Otherwise, it is hang! Many thanks for your reply. All relate devices are reset. It is now functioning in good condition. Thanks again. 👍👍👍
Worked fine with my son's iPhone7 but can't use with his new Samsung S20. The app is installed and connects to the hearing aids and they show in the bluetooth paired devices but won't connect for calls & music. If I try to connect it keeps coming up "An app is needed to use this device". I've tried & troubleshooted everything.
I never had issues with my Linx 2 hearing aids until I downloaded this app. Now, my left hearing aid comes on but then automatically turns itself all the way down to the point of practically being off. The app shows a positive connection to both hearing aids and the volume up and down buttons on the hearing aids themselves work, so I know it is not an issue with the actual hearing aids or batteries.
