The live wallpapers section is completely non functional. First of all the gif gets stretched vertically making circles into ovals, like why not just zoom a bit to fill the screen why stretch???? Then there is no option to set the gif as the lock screen only on the homescreen like whyyyy

honestly really cool idea for an app! Works well and has some cool wallpapers. My favourite being the J0JO Ones.
Live wallpapers default to stretch resolution. No option to crop or resize and maintain aspect ratio.
How do you make the world a better place? The answer is simple: bring back the 1980s and keep them here. And nothing less. This app helps us achieve that goal. If you don't think that browsing 1980s inspired imagery while listening to synthwave and neo-disco music is an experience worth indulging, think again. You will wish the entire world was like this.
Fantastic app. The fact that it has a "Radio" so you can jam out whether you are using the app at the moment or just want some great music to vibe to while doing things is awesome. I'm more of live wallpaper kind of person myself and I love the wallpapers they have to offer. A lot of cool little features, check it out for yourself if you're a fan of retrowave or just the style of music.
I love retrowave themed stuff, but that isn't what hooked me. An absolutely legit radio station plays while searching through the pictures or creating your own and I have become obsessed with some of the songs!!! If I could, I would give this app 10 stars. I came for the wallpapers and stayed for the creation system and music. Absolute must have app for anyone who loves retrowave!
I rarely take the time to rate apps, but this really deserves a shout out. Wallpaper is just the start of this app. It includes about everything you can think of for the retrowave/vaporwave/aesthetic Culture you can think of. A massive selection of gifs that can be turned into live wallpapers and a retrowave radio player. I've downloaded a bunch of wallpaper apps with mediocre results. None of them come close to this! This is a finely curated cultural app, not just wallpapers.
So much to love about this app. If you like 80's tunes the radio alone is worth 5 stars. UPDATE: I won't lower my rating but I was checking out the vaporwave app and the music player there is just superior in so many ways I wish could be applied to this app. I really like so many of the songs but there isn't a favorites list or any way to copy the song info like in the vaporwave app. It would be amazing if you could add something similar here. Either way, thanks for all your hard work!
After having the app for a while, I think its pretty good. I like the different choices yet it still keeps consistency in the idea of it mainly presenting Retro related things. I often switch from a non animated to animated live wallpapers and I like some of the stuff I found off of here. I also like a few of the gif animations while enjoying the music selection from Radiowave. My only negative so is that the app tends to stop working shortly as I apply live wallpapers. Overall it is good.
I usually dont the review any apps, but for this app i could tell the devs really cared for this. I downloaded this expecting mediocore retrowave wallpapers. But I was shocked to find High quality HD wallpapers. Some were even animated. it also gave the ability to save gifs and make those wallpapers too. there was even a retrowave radio built-in. Along with an image editor with some dope retro styled filters. Also a font creator that uses a bunch of 80s fonts. You can also shuffle your wallpaper
The app is beautiful, immersing and has amazing live wallpapers and images that just burst with the Retrowave aesthetic. It's wonderful and the music that plays is more than fitting to the theme of this app. I love how the music plays in the background, so you don't have to worry about the music stopping.
I was pleasantly surprised with this app. The only expectation I had, was that I would be able to browse a collection of wallpapers. This app offers so much, including a great Retrowave playlist. The amount of available images seems nearly infinite. I have already suggested this app to fans of the style.
Very cool App. I love the Radiowave music which you can keep open in the background with Internet connection after setting the wallpapers. The ads are only a minor annoyance as you are saving the .png's to your folder, but they do not intrude beyond that as the wallpaper autochanger is running or the Radiowave music is running. Nice graphics and good variety to choose from for the Auto changer feature. A very pleasant surprise came with the GIF Wallpaper setter feature. Great job guys!
I have to say, I really like all the wallpapers I've seen so far and the live wallpapers are awesome, my only complain is that all the live wallpapers are horizontal gifs which, at least as far as I found, you aren't able to fit it to the dimensions of a phone screen. I wouldn't mind if the image/gif gets cropped to fit the screen (about 3.5x6 inches on mine) just that the image looks clean. I've tried it with the spike gif with city in the background and I got a low res pixelated image.
its a fun little app. I widh they had a bit more cash to make the whole thing more streamlined. some great wallpapers, a bit repetitive, but really good quality. Also the music is FANTASTIC. I love that i can see what's playing. My synthewave playlist on Spotify has gotten a lot bigger since using it.
Truly an excellent app. I find myself changing my wallpapers almost daily simply because I can't choose just one. Has a great selection made by people who care about retrowave and it shows. As a plus, you'll find yourself getting lost on the music that plays throughout!
It's a 5 star for me right now, I have had no problems finding a good looking wallpaper and setting it up as my lockscreen or home screen after like 3-4 seconds of waiting. I do recommend for anyone looking for something with a wide selection of 80's themed wall paper and a simple and quick way to get them.
My experience is fenomenal, You have choice between a lot of wallpapers (both live and normal) a lot of them very cool looking and much like the name of the app tells you they're all in the style of 80's, all of these wallpapers are in a really good quality while the app also plays music in the background (that you can turn off if it annoys you btw) I would reccomend this app to anyone who is searching for a high quality wallpaper in the style of the 80's or high quality wallpapers in general
The "Parallax" function doesn't work but other than that, on latest Android for SG8, but if you choose "Normal" and let your device's system direct you, it works fine. About.to test to see if "radio" is locally or publicly streaming. Otherwise, it's a GREAT and WELL-FUNCTIONING app! Clearly a lot of effort put into this to make what could have been an average wallpaper picker, a surreal retrowave experience. From the icons to the music playing in the background everything is on point. Love it!
