Retune

an excellent choice for controlling your itunes from your phone. normally works very well, pauses for incoming calls, reconnects on app startup. Best of all, unlike DLNA, if you start an album it is queued and will play the whole thing even if you turn off the phone. Also, the volume buttons on the phone will control itunes own volume control - useful when the computer is connected to the amp with optical cable and the normal volume control of the computer is not available!

I have been using this app for years and it is great. After a really bad computer issue I had to reinstall my windows 10 and all my apps. I lost my remote pairing with itunes 12 and was pulling my hair out trying to find the remote pairing. I tried all the firewall suggestions, etc. It worked easily by connecting my pixel to my computer by usb and rebooting itunes. When I did this a small icon shows up just to the right of the pull-down menu on the left half of the window. by clicking on the icon ( which looks like a little triangle) a window opens for the connection code. it took me a few times to get the timing between the remote code and natural obsolescence to work out. but .... thank GOD I now have music again!

Does what it claims. Just one criticism, when selecting songs from a playlist using the "Play next" / "Add to Up Next" in case you accidentally touch the song name instead of the 3 dot menu selection (which is very easy to do), that song plays without a confirmation screen, erasing your previously set up playlist. A confirmation screen "Do you want to cancel current playlist" should be offered. Thanks

It's a great app, and crushes most other iTunes remote apps while still being free. However, I think the most recent Android update (9) may have broken it. I can't connect to my library anymore. I've gone through every possible solution they have too. No luck. Damn shame.

All in one airplay solution for andriod!! I run iTunes on a server and use that to stream music to my receivers. Controlling my PC instance of iTunes on an android device was my only hesitation for making the switch to andriod... this app solves it. Very happy.

I don't normally write reviews but this app is perfect. Exactly what i need for controlling iTunes on my PC. Only suggestion would be to have the ability to edit/make playlists, but i don't know how feasible that is

Works great, has worked for years! For those of you having issues getting iTunes to see the remote, try running iTunes as administrator first to pair the remote. After that, you don't need to run as admin.

Dispite being old and out of date the app still functions like it should. It's not perfect but all things considered it's less buggy than a lot of other apps still being worked on. Also no ads whatsoever is a major plus

Seamless and functions excellently. One improvement that could be made is the UI, it looks a little outdated.

Excellent! I can control my itunes with my phone, have not had any problems, works great. Doesnt seem to have ads either, recommended!

Not good. Idea is good but execution is flawed. Am trying to currently play something and it's not being selected. Went to genre and it's showing me all artists. I click on any of the artists and it brings me to the artists again. Flawed product.

Please update this app for modern devices. Full screen and a better dark mode, it doesn't really need anything else!

This is the only iTunes remote app I use! Great functionality, simple, reliable. It is compatible with forked-daapd (a linux-based music server platform) as well.

Does not work with windows 10. It won't pair with apple music on a windows 10 computer. I've tried doing the fire wall stuff and it won't even let me add iTunes to the firewall exception list. ITunes is downloaded through the Microsoft store.

Great except from the fact you can't add music to playlists! Would be a great addition to an already excellent app.

I'm using itunes 12.9 and I can't fully connect with an Apple remote or my phone. I don't understand why Apple makes it so difficult to do such a simple thing.

Not sure what happened, but this app has stopped working with the latest version of iTunes. I cannot connect at all, on any of my 3 machines.

Although you can find the Apple Music library and the music app accepts my Pixel 3 as a remote, trying to connect to the library results in an Error 501 notice and doesn't work.

It use to work perfectly. But recently it hasn't worked AT ALL. 😥 This use to be the best app for iTunes. Not anymore.

Only partial functionality. Can pause/play and skip forward and backwards but nothing else works.

Allows me to view library but not play anything. Does alow me to skip songs if i start the album from my computer. Pointless

this app rocks!! no sync probs or issues. the whole itunes library at my fingertips. 10/10 would recommend.

This works perfectly. Control iTunes on my server and control which airplay speakers to play. Nice.
