Reverse Chord Finder Free

I absolutely love this app. It has really been helpful as I write songs. Sometimes when I tinker around and play an unusual awesome-sounding chord and you have no idea what it is, and this is great for identifying so I can pen lyric/chord sheets. I have one feature request: can you add a "reset" or "clear" button to get back to the open neck? When checking more than one chord that would be so much better than unchecking each note. Thanks!

I know this app is an older app and maybe somewhat out of date or forgotten about but I need to review it still as it still functions flawlessly on Android 10. I cannot say enough fantastic things about how perfectly this app was designed and how intuitive it is to use. as a musician who uses loads of different baritone and open tunings this app works in all of them and makes songwriting and music theory connections much easier. I would love to buy this developer a beer!!

Love everything about this app, from how it plays the notes you select out loud to how it lets you change the tuning. The one correction I'd suggest is maybe widen the chord database a little bit? you've got some really esoteric ones like Dm9b6, but it can't name anything diminished. That being said, I do think this app is also really useful for creating chord diagrams on short notice and i highly recommend it.

It was the only app I could find to save the chords I made with the names I also made which is great. I wish I also had control of the order of the bookmarks. The last bookmark saved goes to the bottom of the list. Seems kind of primitive not to be able to move your bookmarks around other than to another folder.

App works great. It's also a great tool for remembering odd chords. Only complaint is it needs a reset button so I don't have to mute and unmute each chord to select a different one. If they added a reset button it would be an easy five stars. I highly recommend this app.

A very good free app. I write songs frequently on my guitar and this app is a very helpful tool for identifying unusual chord formations, especially when using alternative tunings. The audio strum feature used for hearing the displayed chord is a nice bonus. Great job, Brian! Thank you.

Works out chords quickly. Extremely useful. Unfortunately it doesn't understand all chord structures and it sometimes starts with the root on another string so you have to scroll through the possibilities but on the whole it's a very useful and well programmed app.

It is more useful to me than other chord finders (rather guitar or piano chord displaying) applications. If it supports inputs via music staves or individual note names (C, C#, Db, D#,... etc), It would be extremely useful and applicable to all musical instruments. Scales - chords. com provides a good Windows application supporting multiple input facilities (guitar frets, piano keys, note names). It does not have an Android version !!! :(

Finally!! An app that lets you input the notes your playing top make the cool new weird chord you just discovered and allows you to change the tuning. only problem is something keeps popping up that says the app was designed for an older version of android and top check for updates and so on...

Excellent, unbloated, sensible software. The alternative name feature is very useful. Often, one knows the 'correct' name of a chord, but an alternative is more useful in the context of a particular progression.

Very useful (for guitar only) but sometimes the chord has to be reset to all Xs (strings not played) before delineating next chord to be identified. Otherwise your chord might be misidentified. Also, left and right arrows on either side of chord name don't work at all.

This is the tool you've been looking for. If you're messing around in an open or custom tuning, this app will tell you what you're playing. Just touch the fretboard to discover the chord, and note names, of what you're playing. I can not overstate how useful this app is for the creative guitarist. Thank you so much. -scottie

This app is excellent for finding the name of chords you've developed that you need the name of to write down in your music. Have been using it for years and nothing else even close to this app. Love it.

I LOVE THIS APP!!! It is really a big help especially with alternate tunings. I use this app more than any other while writing songs. In fact I have the app open & at my side while writing! (To the developers....HOMERUN YOU GUYS!)

Great little app. The only thing missing the ability to barre and then see how to make barre chord shapes and the various chords from those shapes.

Really love this app. Please correct me, I might be missing something obvious, but there is no capo option? I use a capo a lot, and it would be super helpful for me. Is it in there somewhere? Is it being developed? Apart from that, awesome!

Works great! I often find chords that sound good to me just by exploring the fretboard but I don't know what they are and can't figure it out since I don't know much about theory. Finally I can find out what they are.

finally!!! i have been waiting for this the three decades of life I have lived. the IQ of this developer exceeds the 99.9% of humans, this app included an option for ALTERNATIVE TUNINGs . other music genre apps created for consumption are either preschool grade ultra limited C major only, or are unergonomic and nonfunctional, designed only to sell. the only disappointment is the developer hasnt made more apps. you get an A+++ from this critical B, a rarity indeed.

Really really good app. Works with any chord, and you can even adapt to your tuning. (Drop D,C....) I strongly recommend.

Just what you need to identify chords you create. Just tap the fret where your finger(s) are placed and there you have it. Exactly what I was looking for.

This is a great tool. There many complex chords that I've used for years. Now I don't have to dive deep into music theory to identify their names when I make a chord chart.

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to create a folder in bookmarks. One day there was this 3 dots thing that allowed me to do it. It never appeared again. Please make this easier with a big button or something.

I play in Open Tuning a lot. Mainly Slack C Wahine. A Hawaiian style tuning. I learn a lot by ear so this app speeds up my identification of course as I discover them in this tuning. Thank you soooo much for this brilliant app!!

I'm very be impressed I play some pretty advanced open chords that I can't seem to find in any of the chord books I have but all the chord names came up as soon as I entered the notes on this app well done

great stuff. i work with open tunings a lot and it was hard to communicate to the rest of the band what chords i was playing.

I personally love this app. I have learned new chords and wrote new songs thanks to the help from this app very helpfull.

Very useful tool for any level guitarists.
