Reverso Translation Dictionary

Disappointing first contact: I've installed the app to test it today, and first test reading UK version of "we have no idea", I wanted a French translation of "spacey". But Reverso gives me three sentences... about Kevin Spacey, and one on some playground attraction. No hint that English means American English, and I have to spell it "spacy" to get a relevant example. I've not found in the settings nor on interface how to change it, while two other translation apps give me the correct translation on first try. Net result, not really impressed so far. I'll continue testing during few days, but so far I've not been really impressed...

Overall it's a great tool for intermediate and advanced learners. Still some things could be improved:1.option to have several phrasebooks/decks (so users can arrange their words per topic/source/etc. 2. Have some control on the SRS parameters. (like in Anki) 3. Export phrasebook /// A bug (?) I encountered: once ALL my cards already memorized suddenly went back to the 'in progress' deck. Luckily it was possible to (one by one) mark them memorized again without relearning.

Useful app but with limits. Many translations are clearly machine translations. Sometimes, the original example sentences are machine translations themselves, made worse when these are then translated in turn. See this as a tool among others in your toolbox, not something that can be relied on on its own. (To the developer: I have read your reply and will start sending feedback. *Update 18/5/2021: I have been sending feedback, but it's hopeless. Have a look at 'hamstring' En-Dutch).

I love this app. It has helped me hundreds of times in moments of need for a quick check of a word or phrase or even a point of grammar. It rarely fails to come up with an appropriate translation and the context is hugely helpful in avioding those embarrassing blunders!

Very useful! Please update phrasebook functionality to allow more editing. For example, you can add a word or phrase manually, but after you've entered a phrase you can't even view the whole thing (only the first several characters). The phrasebook in the iOS version has better editing features but still needs improvement. I do think the annual subscription is worth the price. My phrasebook will probably be full very soon—I hope you'll increase the maximum number of entries.

After Google translate eliminated all the features that made it so good I began my search for something else. This may work. It has a dictionary, synonyms, and examples of the word's use in sentences in the translated language and English. So far so good!

Good translation, but it's very buggy sometimes on my phone, the app freeze in foreground, and become impossible to use the phone. Maybe is an OS fault, but this is the only app where this happen.

I just started utilizing the app. It is very easy to comprehend. You can have simple every day conversation or more complicated conversations. Mi opinión, es muy interesante, y bueno. Ayúdame muchas, gracias por a la lesiónes.

Good app to lookup words and even the whole phrases (which is great), lots of examples. The only annoying feature is that it's impossible (or not obvious) to change the language for previous searches. Could be useful if I forget to change the language before hitting 'Find' or want to see how the same words would look in another language

One of the best app, but unfortunately, the free version causes malfunctioning because of the adds that makes your device consumes more memory, makes your device runs slower, and drains your device's power.

It's good at giving accurate translations however i find the vocal search annoying ... I dind't finish my sentence and just took a break to breath and it stops .. I hope you add an option where you keep a hold on the limits of your vocal search ... But overall it's a nice app .. Really usefull. ( ps: i hope my opinion was clear enough , im still learning english )

I absolutely love it! The variety of usefuI functions is beyond expectations. Translation is much better than any other service. Seing the context allows you to choose the exact word you need. I also use it also in Chrome as an extension, helps reading or watching anything online much easier. Just one thing I'm lacking - Ukrainian language. For lots of my friends/ students this app is love from the first sight but having only Russian to choose our of makes it a matter of principle. It's a pity

Most useful European Portuguese translation app I have found! It's all about the examples they provide which guve context.

I'ts fantastique app and i used from learning some language and for now is help me enough and i hope to learn the language a short period (i am a just now learn English) so i think there are alot of mistakes in grammar , conjugaison .... But i so happy for that level of English :)

Best translation app for isolate words ! Various suggestions for each words, with slang terms, up and and down arrows to give more context to a word. And also sentences as examples in both languages. You can save words for learning it. Much better than Google Translate or DeepL that always make mistakes for single words (but are better for long sentences or entire websites)

This is a good app but it has some set backs. I'm trying to learn using the phrase book - but no matter how many cards I add it always says "you don't have enough cards in your phrasebook". At some point after having enough cards it will block me from making new ones so that I actually can't have enough cards. I tried reinstalling the app and even with a saved account, its deleted all the terms in my phrasebook - so now I have to list them all by hand over again. The reverso team address this

Easy to find sample sentences but needs a better system to learn words and phrases. Edit: for some reason mobile version does not support Ukrainian.

I love this app, it's really useful. It's help me to understand where is any word is using and i can improve my english a little, and maybe not a little:)) Thx, keep it up.

I have been using this app for a week and I love it 🌃🏙🌃🏙🌃🏙 After more than a year still loving it and I recommend it. You can understand the words better in sentences and surely better remembering.

There is no denying the fact that This is a wonderful app. You can learn and gain ample knowledge about both english and spanish with the help of it.

Doesn't work without wifi for some reason. Other than that very helpful for Russian.

Does a great job even just the free version. Price too high for me for the paid version, though, may be worth it.

This app is great for looking up phrases and expressions which you can't find in a dictionary.

Was a very good app, I really liked the instant translate floating icon, but since the last Samsung update can't use the app. The icon literally won't let me use the phone,blocks everything. Pity, as I, up to then, used the dictionary all the time. Maybe on a future update this will sort itself out.

Excellent app, my reference now for language learning and for work translations. It has everything: many languages, well matching correspondences, many examples, pronunciation, conjugation, and so on. And on top of that, the basic version is free! Highly recommended!

Love the app except the learn mode isn't fully functional: Whenever I try to change my learn strategy to focus on my phrasebook it always says, "not enough terms in phrasebook" and won't let me study my own word list. There are 2039 entries in my phrasebook... Can this be fixed? (Images attached)

With all of the example sentences and phrases, I always feel extremely comfortable using a certain word or phrase in a certain way, having looked them up via this app. Very possibly my favorite translation app!
